ABSTRACT

Existing appliance recognition system or devices uses power or current


consumption this method can have a misleading output because some appliances
can have similar current or power consumption. For this reason, the researchers
created a device that can characterize appliances to known and unknown using
power factor as a method of detection. The device is equipped with automatic
disconnection properties so that once the appliance is detected as unknown, power
source will be disconnected cutting power to the appliance.
