Dear English Teacher Hiring Committee,

It is with great interest and anticipation that I am seeking to secure a Secondary English Teacher
position with your school district. As an enthusiastic and dedicated new educator with student
teaching experience, I would love to be a member of your academic team. I believe that my
instructional abilities, work ethic, and strong social skills can greatly benefit your educational
program. I currently have a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Arizona State
University and would like to continue to expand my teaching skills while creating a fun but
challenging environment for my students.

As a teacher, I will work hard to come up with lessons that will help every student better retain
the subject matter. I will incorporate hands-on activities, technology, guided practice, problem-
based learning, and real-world applications to help students make progress and build on their
skills. Through my teaching experience, I have discovered that actively assisting students is my
preferred method of teaching. If a student creates their own learning experiences, they will
become more confident as a student.

I am excited to work with students and will strive to be an influential role model in their lives. I
understand how crucial a quality education is for students to be able to achieve success in
everything they do. I hope to encourage a love of learning and a desire for endless knowledge
within each student.
