About Raja Zia Ul HAQ:
Raja Zia ul Haq is a prominent lecturer from Islamabad, delivering regular talks & workshops on
youth-related issues, life & purpose. He did his BSc. (Hons) in Computing from the University
of Portsmouth, UK and his Masters in IT from the University of Canberra, Australia.
He is well-travelled and has over 10 years of professional work experience in Sales and
Marketing for IT, Media and Telecom industry sectors. For the last few years, he has settled back
in Pakistan and has been a lecturer at several universities across Islamabad and Rawalpindi,
including Bahria University, FAST-NU, Riphah University and FMDC.
Raja Zia ul Haq is currently the CEO of a not-for-profit, youth focused organization called
‘Youth Club’. He has gained immense popularity amongst the youth and with his fun and
interactive style, is able to keep the audiences engaged and absorbed for hours.
Due to his extensive experience in the multi-national and corporate sectors, along with his
knowledge of the Islamic traditions, he is able to teach character values and ethics in a way
unlike any other. He has been invited to many universities, schools and colleges as a public
speaker including the University of Southampton, NUST, IBA, Shifa College of Medicine,
RMC, Beaconhouse, Roots, Froebels, Westminster Schools, LGS and many more.

Our topic is to take feedback from top line manager regarding management of their
organization.And we feel really honoured that we have take interview from the CEO of Youth
club, Raja Zia Ul Haq.
We have to evaluate that how they tackle with management? How they make strategies? What
are their plan of actions?What are the secret of their success? This project is survey based study
and this survey is being conducted by Musarrat Shaheen Shiza Fatima Kinza Fazal Mehwish
Ejaz and Fatima Shadab under the Supervision of Dr. Rabeea khan.

WITH THE STRONG DETAILS REGARDING MANAGEMENT OF
THEIR ORGANIZATION
It was 10 o clock of Wednesday morning when we arrived at their home where they came
outside to receive us and we the group of 5 enter their home and they took us to that part of
the home which looks like an office ( later we came to know that it was actually his office) then
they asked us some question about our project like topic of the project and the subject
concerned so we briefly answered to all of their questions
And then we stated their interview.
The first question was about the management of expenses of their organization so he told that
as you know that it is a trust based organization (and he is a religious personality) so everything
is managed by the grace of ALLAH ALMIGHTY
Then we asked about the selection of their topics at different institutes so he told us that it
depends on following things audience, age group , and prima facie problems regarding the
environment of that institute, and current situations and after taking the feedback the topic is
selected (as we learned that in management the most important thing is taking feedback and
then follow up so by following these two steps he is able to run it very successfully )
When he was asked about the requirements during hiring then he said that two types of
employees are there 1. Voluteers 2. Hired and criteria for their selection is that ,
He should follow our mission and vision and work accordingly
Trustworthy
Must have an upright character
His scale must be set according to the department and
Fulfill all the expected requirement that leads towards the achievement of our goals.
We asked about the disciplinary actions he used to take to maintain the discipline of the
organization and came to know that they brings a lot of changes in his personality (as we know
that to be a successful leader it is important to start from ourselves to make us competent
enough to lead an organization , this is what they also do) they said that I used to interact
with every employ, maintain a friendly environment but do not compromise on rules , and took
the action as per needed
The most important disciplinary THING according to them regarding their organization was
the character of an employee inside and outside the youth club .
When the question about the ‘acceptance of any mistake or misconduct by an employ’ was
asked answering to this they told us an incidence which was kind of funny and was about that
how did they made an employ to realize his mistake , they taught him in a very friendly manner
and asked about the problem and at the end the person realize and apologizes also but there
are some strict actions such as firing of employees due to their bad conducts which has to be
taken for benefit of organization and at such moments i need to change my tone to make them
feel that there is no room for relaxation.
When we asked them that how do you manage your decision making thing when there is a
conflict of interest between your team then he replied that being the CEO I have to take the
full and final decision and everyone has to follow it but I always consider their opinions
(managers) before decision making.
While taking the major decision they follow the centralized organization rules and while taking
the minor decision they follow decentralized organization rules.
When the question about motivation of employees was asked then they mentioned 3 things
1. Tarbiah sessions (I used serious tone during such session so that they understands their
responsibilities ,he said.)
2. Daily raminders
3. Personally interfere in some issues to guide them so that next time they try to solve
themselves)
After that foe appreciation of employees on their hardwork he circulates an appreciation
text particularly to the department involved and sometimes arrange party for them.
Answering the question regarding feedback from employees they said that yes I used to take
feedback per year or two times in a year and for that purpose we introduced a system of giving
an anonymous feedback (in case if someome do not wants to show their name) and then we
tried our best to slove any problem that is mentioned .
Have you ever feel bored of us work ? the replied , NO , I completely enjoy my work .
Throughout this interview he used examples , told incidence and relate every thing with religion
which showed their honesty with their work
Conclusion:
This was amazing project and we learnt alot of things.The most impressive and
inspiring thing that touches our soul is that he inculcate Islamic values in every
aspect.He deals every thing according to Sunnah.In this modern Era the age of
machine where most of the people is far away
from Islam,he relates everything with Islam that’s why he was so content and
happy.Infact he teaches us that we can handle every matter very smoothly and
easily if we follow the guiding principles of Islam.He gave us the key to success is
