1. Executive Summary
The report is based upon the activities performed during the internship at Pepsi Co within 6
weeks. I join the Pepsi co as an intern Management Trainee Officer at the month of July. I have
six week internship. In the first part the management explains the process and system of
organization. In the second part tell us the importance of organization culture how they are
important for the company. In the third part tell us the importance of department how they
important for us. In the fourth part discuss about the SWOT analysis of the company. In the
SWOT analysis discuss about the strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Treads of the
company. In the strength and weakness are external part of the organization but opportunities
and treads are external part of the organization. Strength and weakness are the internal part
how the internally increase the strength and decrease the weakness of the organization. The
opportunities and treads are external how the increase the opportunities and decrease the
treads of the company. In the fifth part tell us how the improve the organization. Give him the
suggestion that how company improve us. In the sixth part tell us how they strategies made
strength for the company.
2. Background of FMC

FMC means the fast moving consumer which are also known as consumer packages good. In
FMC Products include that are used by daily. In the top FMC companies include food and
beverage. In the FMC product include Pepsi also.
2.1. Mission Statement

The mission statement of Pepsi is based upon smiles on the faces on the people of the country.
So the main mission of Pepsi give smile on the faces on the person with every sip and bite.
2.2. Vision Statement

The vision of our company is being leader in the global world at beverages and food.
3. Business Operations

Pepsi CO is the second biggest player in the beverages and Food Company.
It is the company that makes the products about beverages
3.1. Organization Chart

Pepsi Co organizational structure has been addressed to changing global market. The current
structure of global organization reflects to the changing global market. The aims of Pepsi Co
reflect mission and vision statement. The following are the main characteristic are given below

In the market division include the analysis of Pepsi Co Pepsi Co Europe, Pepsi

3.2. SWOT Analysis
The Strength and weakness are the internal part of the organization and opportunities and
treads are the external part of the organization. In the Internal part organization think that how
strategy make that our strength are increase and weakness are decrease. Organization are also
thinks that how strategy make us that our opportunities are increase and treads are decrease.
3.2.1. Strength
 The company gave the sponsorship to the music concerts and the sports event.
 It makes easy to reach younger audience through their sponsorship.
 Pepsi Co focus on the brand recognition as the popular brand in the food beverage and
snacks.
 So the Pepsi transformed the brand into global.
 Has become a reputed brand after launching in the music industry.
3.2.2. Weakness
 Pepsi face problem in the health issue.
 Most of the products are highly sugar and calories. So they created obesity, heart and
lungs problems.
 Pepsi Co has introduced those products that people not like so much.
 So the products give loss to the company.
3.2.3. Opportunities
 Pepsi does not offer the healthy products.
 So health is the basic issue.
 So Pepsi should see it and introduce sugar free flavor.
 Pepsi should move out to the other industries.
 Pepsi battle of the band is also a great platform given by Pepsi to singers.
3.2.4. Threats
 Competition rising from their competitors.
 There are two competitors Nestle and Coca Cola.
 These two are buying power and brand recognition to compete Pepsi Co.
 Pepsi Co is the major tread in the health.

 People like the sweet but less sugar and calories avoid obesity, heart and lung problem
4. Market Strategy

Through market positioning and segmentation identifies the market strategy of Pepsi the
positioned has a snacks and beverages brand that includes notorious. It reflects to the young
people of the customers’ include teenager and younger people for then Pepsi Co. Pepsi have
large investment on marketing for driving sales and growth market. However time to timely
digital marketing will have more preference. A large budget give to digital marketing and
advertising Pepsi also focused on quality and packaging. If they have given more focus on
quality then they have gave profit. For the marketing purpose you should have given
sponsorship. If they have given sponsorship to the right person or right place then company will
have growing. At now marketing is not complete without social media like face book, you tube,
twitter and instream. These are the major part of social marketing.
PepsiCo is the second biggest layer in the food and beverage. The main strategy that contribute
to Pepsi Co competitive strategy are given below.
4.1. Cost Leadership

The cost leadership is the primary competitive strategy of Pepsi Co. In this strategy
Pepsi Co focus that how to minimize our cost from cost minimization. From cost
minimization Pepsi Co improve their financial performance. For example Pepsi Co
product compete Coca Cola products. So Pepsi Co offers low price base operating cost
to compete the Coca Cola products.
4.2. Brand Differentiation

Pepsi Co use brand differentiation as a secondary generic competitive strategy. n this


strategy market focus how to attract the customers by giving some features like Pepsi Co
lays potato are market that.

5. Business Process

Different phase of product that occur a diverse product portfolio. Through effectiveness and
efficacy in the operation to balance different channelize routes of Pepsi Co. SWOT analysis and
balance score card approach to analyze.
5.1. Balanced Scorecard Approach

Through the strength, weakness treads and opportunities analyze the business approach of
Pepsi Co. When the Pepsi Co focus on internal part of the. When Pepsi Co focus on external part
opportunities and treads of the company. If we focus on internal part increase our strengths
and decrease our weakness and business will grow. If company focus on external part focus on
treads and opportunities then treads will decrease and opportunities will increase. This
technique is used for purpose of performance for the employee . The main purpose of strategy
is to accomplish the goals. It is used for check the performance of top level manager that how
much effective for the organization. Through this check the performance of every single
member. If the employee work for the organization then it is attractive for business purposes
6. Learning as a Student Internee

6.1. Duties
Working time is nine hours counting two fifteen minutes tea breaks and half hours lunch time.
There is one day off in a weak. Always remain in the assigned area of the duty. Waking around
in at the production area in duty hours is prohibited. Roaming around any department is not
allowed. Chew gum, smoking taking in high pitch voice is strictly prohibited. Shift and duty hours
cannot be change without supervisors and manager approval. Propaganda either religious or
political is not allowed. When working at PepsiCo, employees are not allowed to work on any
other job. Punctuality is the main role in the company. Try to adapt quick learning methods and
try to bring change. Positive attitude of manager keeps the environment of the happy and clam.
6.2. Accomplishments
Internship gives opportunity to observe and participate in a professional work situation which
represents an area of career interest to work toward specific achievable goals. Learned how to
market the product. Learned how to take interview of the personnel hired.
6.3. New knowledge acquired

Learned new skills communication and interpersonal skills by communicating with different
people. I did data entry of old accounts to make my hand easy on the computer. I went with the
distributor to distribute the bottles and observed how he used to sell them.
6.4. Problems Encountered
● Demotivated employees
● No Promotional Activities because reference is prefer
● Not enjoying the Economies of large scale in the market
● Centralized decision making.
● High labor cost and power & fuel cost
● Working environment is like a funfair (music and hooting senior)
● Every employee have own a culture
How Experience Impacts your Career
All what I learned from here will help me in my future and make me prosper. The
communication skills and interpersonal skills will let me pave way to the further steps of my life.
This six weeks made me a tough person to face the challenges and hurdles coming up.

7. Recommendations
There are many things that Pepsi Co will do well and also in the future. Pepsi Co should improve
the multiple things and also continue the wide decision manager about the manager. Pepsi Co
should focus on emerges. If company not growing so much then company need to emerges.

8. Conclusion
I conclude that Pepsi Co should make wise decision making on emerges and acquisition. I
recommended Pepsi Co should reduce their dependence on wall mart to increase their price. I
also recommended that Pepsi Co should take advantage from emerges. I have completed the six
week internship at Pepsi Co Faisalabad from July 19 to August 19. After the completion they
give me a certificate to me that he completed the internship at our organization.
