THYROID ULTRASONOGRAPHY REPORT

HRUSG of thyroid was performed with 10 MHz linear array transducer

Bilateral thyroid gland appears heteroechoic in echotexture and enlarged in size measures (Right lobe
measures 4.0 x 3.8 cms & Left lobe measures 3.9 x 3.1 cms) with multiple rounded ill defined hyperechoic to
isoechoic lesions (largest measuring 2.1 x 1.7 cms on right side , 1.9 x 1.2 cms on left side) of variable sizes are
noted diffusely in both lobes of thyroid gland. Mutiple calcific foci (largest measuring approximately 5.5 mm)
are also noted within the lesions. Few lesion shows cystic changes within. On CDFI, mild increased vascularity
seen in both lobes of thyroid....... S/O ? multinodular goitre. Needs FNAC for futher confirmation & thyroid
tests correlation.
Isthmus measures 2.5 cms. in AP dimension.
Periglandular soft tissues are normal.
Multiple small lymphnodes are noted at level I station on right side (largest measuing 5 x3 mms)
