Brand New

I am the new year. I am an unspoiled page in your book of time.

I am your next chance at the art of living. I am your opportunity to

practice what you have learned about life during the last 12 months.

All you sought and didn’t find is hidden in me, waiting for you to
search it but with more determination. All the good you tried for and
didn’t achieve is mine to grant when you have fewer conflicting
desires.
All you dreamed but didn’t dare to do, all you hoped but did not will, all the faith you claimed but
did not have — these slumber lightly, waiting to be awakened by the touch of a strong purpose.

I am your opportunity to renew your allegiance to him who said, “See, I am making all things new”
(Revelation 21:5, NRSV). —Author unknown

If you have been thinking about giving the Sanctuary Choir

a try, I encourage you to come to rehearsal in January. Membership
is open to Youth and Adults who love the Lord, love to sing, and are
willing to commit to faithful rehearsal and worship attendance.
January is a great time of year to join the choir. You have the
opportunity to get in on the ground floor of the Easter music
preparation.
Our kick off Easter music rehearsal will be Saturday, January 29.
We rehearse Wednesday evenings at 7:30 in the choir room,
and periodically on Saturday mornings to help prepare for major
programs. If you would like more information please give me a call at the church office. I am
praying that the Lord will help us to fill the choir loft in 2011. I ask you to join me in this effort.
As you are praying, ask the Lord if you might be part of the answer. Randy

Deacon Ordination
January 9, 2011 - 6:30pm

Be sure to be present for one of the most important events in the life of our church.
The Deacon Ordination.
These men have been chosen by you to be leaders and willing to commit to active
spiritual and physical participation in the life and work of our Church.
They have met the spiritual qualifications as described in Acts 6: “have a definite
experience with Jesus Christ,” “be filled with the Holy Spirit,” “be full of wisdom”
(common sense), and “be full of faith” (a man of vision, who is progressive in thought
and action.)
Deacons being ordained: Mike Gillette, Roy Robertson, Michael White, and Jeff
Woodford.
Come and show your support for these deacons and new beginnings here at WLBC
for 2011!
