order to identify appropriate solutions to various design briefs. Gained
extensive experience in interpreting briefs, researching audiences

particular interest in animation, motion design and interactive and web
technologies.

Experience Freelance Graphic Designer
2016 - Present
Worked on freelance projects with various clients including local small
businesses, musicians and events organisers, throughout my degree
and since graduating. This experience has given me an insight into
client liaison and building professional relationships, as well as time
management and organisation skills.
Motion Design Intern
Inkpress Media, Sheffield
June - September 2018
Collaborated with the digital design team, to produce various short-form
animations for local businesses to be used on social media platforms.
This role relied on my ability to work under pressure as most briefs had a
short turn-around. I was also involved in the planning stages of a larger
branding campaign for a local company, and supported the team by
generating and reviewing ideas.
Graphic Design Intern
Mammal Studio, Sheffield
June - July 2017
Student internship focusing on web and app design. My role focused
on designing layouts for mobile app interfaces and web pages, using
responsive design principles to ensure content was appropriate for
different platforms, as well as cross-browser compatibility. Using my
problem solving skills, I was able to identify compatibility issues and
resolve problems as they arose through various testing techniques.
Other Experience Customer Care Agent
Quicknet Broadband, Sheffield
September 2018 - Present
Currently dealing with customers who are moving house, ensuring
phone and broadband services are provided to their new address. This
process can easily go wrong due to a number of external factors. Using
my extensive customer service experience and communication skills,
I liaise with providers to ensure work is done as expected, applying
pressure where needed whilst also keeping the customer informed and
reassured, helping to ease the process during their house move.
Sales Assistant (part-time)
Hallam Books, Sheffield
January 2015 - April 2016
Various retail activities including customer service, management of
stock and general store maintenance. This position was reliant on my
ability to work within a team, occasionally taking a lead in handling large
deliveries or queues of customers during peak times, as well as using my
initiative to identify duties during quieter periods.
Skills UX and UI Design
Responsible for designing interactive content for use on various devices,
during my internship at Mammal Studio. This required an understanding
of how users tend to use such devices, including accessibility issues, and
adapting the interface design to suit these different methods. Part of a
team which also implemented testing to highlight possible issues users
could encounter, whilst also ensuring that the experience of using the
app, was in line with the client’s brand experience.
Design tools
Gained extensive experience of using Adobe Creative Cloud throughout
my degree and work experience, particularly with Illustrator, After
Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Dreamweaver. Through working
on web design projects, I have developed a strong understanding of
HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Teamworking
Take every opportunity to actively participate within creative teams,
sharing and developing ideas with colleagues. At Inkpress Media, I
worked within a digital media team with others who specialised in
particular areas. Working together, we were able to distribute duties to
the most appropriate members, as well as provide support whenever
required.
Time management and organisation
Have taken responsibility for briefs throughout my degree and
internships, creating project plans when work needed to be completed to
a deadline. In particular, during my internships, I have regularly worked
under pressure to produce material on time for high priority clients.
Using careful organisation, I am able to take on large tasks and spread
out the work to avoid a last minute rush, allowing space for potential
changes to circumstances.
Interests Outside of work I am a keen musician; writing, recording and
performing my own music and playing in various bands. I enjoy the
collaborative nature of music, and believe it has had a huge impact on
my communication skills, my ability to cohesively convey my own point
of view, and my creativity.
