Slave Receivers for Add-on Applications

You can use slave receivers to add Inovonics Wireless 900 MHz
technology to any installation or create stand-alone systems for certain FA416R FA416DR

applications. Inovonics Wireless offers slave receivers that support from

one to 64 fully supervised 900 MHz transmitters. All receivers are
available with either transistor output or with mechanical Form C relay.
Optional seven-segment displays are also available for the FA464 and
FA416 family of receivers.

Architects/Engineers Specifications
The contractor shall provide fully supervised 900 MHz spread spectrum wireless equipment.The wireless equipment shall use a frequency hopping
technique that sends redundant messages on any alarm across a bandwidth of at least 10 MHz to provide immunity from interference and help ensure
reliable communication. A repeater product that allows at least 25 repeaters to be added to the site to accommodate future expansion of the facility
should be available.
The wireless equipment shall be offered with sensors including a PIR, glassbreak detector, dual-button pendant and panic transmitter (to minimize false
alarms), billtrap transmitters, and universal transmitters. Each transmitter, including all sensor/transmitters, pendants, and panic transmitters shall transmit
a supervisory message at least every four minutes, and provide low battery detection. Universal transmitters must support an end-of-line resistor to
supervise the wire between the universal transmitter and switch or contact to which it is wired.

2. Inovonics Wireless recommends that all transmitters be programmed for supervision. Unless otherwise noted typical battery lives shown are for supervised operation using the recommended check-in times (typically
1minute to 5 minutes). Please realize that battery vendors do NOT warranty the life of their batteries, hence, Inovonics Wireless warranty specifically excludes batteries and battery life is not guaranteed.
3. In early 1997, the battery in the FA100 was converted from the BAT606 to a BAT604.
4. The Duracell MN1604 alkaline battery is the only acceptable battery for use in the ESL 361 smoke detector.
5. The construction and impedance of lithium batteries varies by manufacturer. Inovonics Wireless strongly recommends that only the manufacturer model numbers listed in the Battery Cross-Listing Table be used with
Inovonics Wireless transmitters.
6. The battery life of a PIR/Transmitter is highly dependent on “traffic” in its coverage area. PIRs installed in reception areas and similar areas may experience reduced battery life.
7. Must use FA116 Programmer to program more than four transmitters.
