Put the verbs in brackets into the present perfect or the present perfect continuous tense.
(In some cases either could be used.)
1. We have walked ten kilometers.
2. We have been walking for three hours.
3. You have been walking too fast. That's why you are tired.
4. I have been making sausage rolls for the party all the morning.
How many have you made?
I have made 200.
5. That boy has eaten seven ice-creams.
6. He has not stopped eating since he arrived.
7. The driver has been drinking. I think someone else ought to drive.
8. I have pulled up 100 dandelions.
I have been pulling up dandelions all day.
9. What have you been doing?
We have picked apples.
How many have you picked?
We have picked ten basketfuls.
10. I have slept on every bed in this house and I don't like any of them.
11. He has been sleeping since ten o'clock. It's time he woke up.
12. He has been riding ; that's why he is wearing breeches.
13. I have ridden all the horses in this stable.
14. What a lovely smell!
Mary has been making jam.
15. The students have worked very well this term.
16.  I have only heard from him twice since he went away.
17.  I have been hearing from her regularly. She is a very good correspondent.
