Question 1: what are the advantages and disadvantages of using
videoconferencing technologies?
Answer: Video conferencing is the technology where a conference is conducted with two or
more people at multiple locations for the purpose of communication There are some advantages
and disadvantages of using videoconferencing technologies:
Advantages:
Lesser travels: Two or more people can comment together for a video conference.
Because of this they do not need to be face to face. So, it requires less travel and
communicate with anyone from anywhere.
Time and money saver: It cost both money and time to move from one place to another
for business. This business can be done from anywhere via video conferencing. So, we
can call video conferencing a time and money saver.
Anytime conference: Member can attend the conference via video conferencing from
anywhere in the world as there is no office deadline. All you need is a mobile phone or
laptop or computer with an internet connection to attend the conference.
Disadvantages:
Costly set up: Businesses need laptops or computers or conference rooms for video
conferencing. It is difficult for small businesses to afford because they are relatively
expensive. So, we can say that video conferencing is expensive.
Technical problem: A company uses laptops or computers for video conferencing.
These are electronic devices that can causes technical problem anytime such as network
problem, software problem, hardware failures etc. If this problem occurs at a critical
time, the business may suffer.
More working hour’s: It is possible to communicate via video conference anytime from
anywhere. But after office hours there is a lot of work to be done in the evening or night
through video conferencing, which is very painful for the employees.
Question 2: what are the telepresence and what sorts of companies are best
suited to use it as a communication tool?
Answer: Telepresence is a set of robotic technology that provides stimuli to a user senses that
makes them feel as though they are in or having an effect in another place other than their true
location. In telepresence technology users have an opportunity to affect a remote location.
There are some communication tools can include:
Email: Email, or e-mail for short, help to exchange important documents in less time.
Email is used as attested proof if there is a problem with the documents.
Computer: With the help of computer, it is possible to do any business sitting at home
outside of office hours.
Laptop: Everything is easy to do with a laptop like a computer. But it is possible to work
from anywhere as it can be taken anywhere in a short time.
Smartphone: More than 80 percent of Internet users use Smartphone to work for the
company anytime, anywhere.
Internet calling: Internet calling is a way to make calls using the internet. There are
several internet calling providers that allow businesses to do a lot of important work at
anytime.
Question 3: what kind of companies could benefit from using video
conference? Are there any companies that might not derive any benefits from
this technology?
Answer: There are many companies could benefit from using videoconferencing.
Hospital: In today’s age of Science, modernity has entered everywhere and now
everyone has access to hospital services through the internet at home. Doctor at one
hospital are currently seen operating via video conferencing with one or more doctor at
home and abroad. A specialist exchange views with a doctor via video conference so we
can get better services.
Business Companies: Business now do a lot of work Through video conferencing.
Video conferencing Makes it easy to talk to two or more buyer, seller, customers and join
meeting. In this way it is possible to do important work in a Very short time and at low
cost.
Education sector: In the present era, schools are being able to give online class, exam in
College and University through video conferencing.
Garments: Currently all the Garments industries in the country have important
discussions with Their buyers through video conferencing. It is used to exchange
important information.
HealthCare: At present, the health care Staff provides various services to the patients
Through video conferencing.
