You have so many happy bands
Playing all around on the lovely sand

From Mount Roraima’s high lands


To the Corentyne’s low lands
There are some very beautiful trees
That sing to the lofty breeze

Guyana has so many distant shores


Her rivers, lakes and streams
These are the joyous days of yore
That there are so many happy dreams
