An underdog is a person or group in a competition, usually in sports and creative works, who is

popularly expected to lose. 


and as I know everybody loves underdogs it empowers us teaches us to push forward
so today im gonna talk about one of my favorite underdog slide 2
Jacques Berman Webster II or as we know his stage name : travis scott
travis is one of the biggest musical superstar slide 3

he dropped one of the biggest album of the decade and his public perception is very positive but
where did he come from ? slide 4
from his humble beginnings in the Houston producing music to working with superstars all the way
to the becoming A list singer slide 5
he was born in 1992 he and his family lived in the small house in the south Houston it wasn’t friendly
neighborhood and spending your childhood there wasn’t easy . He did very well in school in fact he
finished school 2 years early and he and he enrolled in the university of Texas in san Antonio but
shorty he dropped out without telling his parents he and he went in NY to make music travis used
money his parents gave him for text books and food and he spent it on plane tickets and studio
sessions he was sleeping on floors and couches in his friends house and working late night slide 6

after 4 months his parents gave him surprise visit at san Antonio but they found out that he dropped
out they cut him off financially and turned his phone off letting him know that he is not welcome in
the house slide 7

urgency to succeed is what travis needed he started more and more music online finally he got
recognition from the famous stars such as TI and Kanye west he started producing music for them
and finally he got enough money to pay rent and debts slide 8

… after dropping some singles and mixtape he got public recognition and people saw him as the
rising stars but many was calling him copycat of his protégé for year travis worked hard on himself
and released another mixtape and people glorified that mixtape called days before rodeo most of
the singers who release good first mixtape are doing poor on working other projects. People say
you have whole life to release first mixtape but only one year to drop second one after that his every
other project sold better than the latest one years later he broke records slide 9

became very rich in fact he bought his mom a mansion in Houston and in the one of his song he
said “Bought my momma that new house now, oh my, now she cannot kick me out now’’ slide 10

till this day he helps kids from his hometown and pays their university and collage money for them
to get propper education he also funds orphanages for that Mayor has
declared November 18 "Astroworld Day" in honor of the rapper, who held his
Astroworld Festival there ( also name of his album) and gave him key of the
city slide 11

it inspires me to see someone this young doing big things like this
especially when I know where he started from for his amazing talent kind
heart and funny personality he is a role model to me he showed people how
much you can achieve if you grind and work hard enough towars your goals
…
