Introduction
I have always known the human mind to have great power
and ability to bring into physical manifestation thoughts
processed inside it. I didn’t know how this happens and
how to make my mind produce what I wanted to see in
my life. Over a period of time, the Lord taught me in
several ways about this life changing subject and placed it
strongly on my heart to put it into writing so that others
can get hold of it and also know how to draw things
towards them, using their mind.
This book fundamentally looks at how the imagining
power of the mind can create someone’s future and how
the same process can destroy it. We will look at the use of
the mind’s eye in seeing the future which remains
“unknown” and create our future the way we want to have
it because God has placed it into our hands that we can
have our worlds the way we would like them.
It is very important therefore that we look carefully and
understand the role of the mind’s eye by having an idea of
what the physical eye does for us. Five senses are
identified; sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. Except
Visions Walking with a destination
8
the sense of touch, represented by the skin which is
distributed all-round the body, the rest of the five main
organs are located on the head. The head comparably isn’t
the biggest part of the body, but it controls the rest of the
body. You have seen several people without a hand, a leg
or some other parts of their bodies but you haven’t seen
anyone yet without a head because there isn’t life without
the head. Christ Jesus is the head of the church which is
His body. He compares that to the vine and its branches.
He explains that the branches only have life when
connected to the vine but separated from it, have no life.
This is what happens to the rest of the body without the
head.
If you have to choose losing three of the sense organs on
your head, which are sight, smell, hearing and taste. Many
would want to remain with the sense of sight. The other
senses are also important; it is just that the eye plays a
special function that would make living without it
extremely difficult. About eighty-seven percent of our
sensibility is obtained through the eye. The eye is
protected inside a socket and connected to the brain where
interpretation of the things seen occurs. We actually see
therefore with the brain not the eye because the
Visions Walking with a destination
9
interpretation of whatever we see is dependent on our
store of information.
No matter how strong someone may be, you wouldn’t be
afraid of him if he’s blind. He may not hear but could still
fully use his power, he may not be able to taste nor smell
and still remain undefeated because he still has eyes but
the moment he loses them, all his strength is brought to
naught. This was what was done to Samson when he was
apprehended by the Philistines. They didn’t cut his hands
which were so strong nor his legs, neither did they cut
away any of the sense organs located on the head but his
eyes were removed. Once he lost his sight, he wasn’t
feared anymore. Children could mock him and he
couldn’t retaliate or fight back. He had to tow the
instructions of his masters, the Philistines and live as they
wanted him to. Before his death, he asked the little boy
who was with him to be his eyes and guide him to the
main pillars of the building where they were gathered.
With this help, he was able to fully use his strength.
Luke 10:23
And he turned him unto his disciples, and said
privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things
Visions Walking with a destination
10
that ye see.
This was a statement made by Jesus privately to his
disciples. He told them how blessed they are because their
eyes see. Not everyone with eyes sees!
Your steps as you walk each day are guided by your eyes.
You make your next move or step with the help of your
eyes, placing your feet where your eyes direct you to put
them. Without vision, we make no move because a
visionless man is doomed to fall for he doesn’t know
where he is heading. He cannot reach anywhere because
he has no targets in life and doesn’t know where he wants
to be. For this reason, anywhere he gets to, becomes his
destination.
Your imagining power gives you the ability to see where
your next step would be even before you make it. A blind
man once said that the saddest thing that could happen to
any man is having eyes without vision. It’s your vision
that takes you to your mission. In order for anyone to
block you from reaching your mission, the first thing they
would need to do is to take your vision and once you are
without vision, your mission isn’t in view.

2 Corinthians 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds
of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious
gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine

Your prosperity and your shining begins with you having
a vision which is likened to a seed. It is this seed that
when planted inside your mind and well nurtured would
produce that wonderful future you envision. Therefore, so
long as you are without vision, you are powerless and
nothing to be feared.

Getting Your Identity R

CHAPTER ONE
Getting Your Identity Right
A mong God’s creation, man is the most prestigious.
He was the last to be brought into existence because
conditions had to be prepared for his perfect existence
here on earth. God’s desire for man, from the time of
creation has been for his joy to be complete and perfect.
Things in the beginning were made to be perfect, each
one in its rightful place. The Hebrew word “barra” as
used to describe the creation of man also connotes
perfection. Man was made last of God’s creatures but
wasn’t the last to be thought of. He, in fact, was the first
to be thought of and is the reason for the creation of all
things. We read from the Bible that God placed a criteria
for the creation of man and that criteria was for man to
inherit His nature.
Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our
likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the
Visions Walking with a destination
14
sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and
over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that
creepeth upon the earth
Man is actually an extension
of God. We see from God placed a part of
scriptures that God made man what makes Him God
of the dust of the ground with into man, so that man
every cell, tissue, and organ can become His
created but man wasn’t able extension here on
to begin life on his own. His earth
nostrils were opened and
oxygen ran through them but he still didn’t have life until
God breathed into him.
Psalm 100:3
Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath
made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and
the sheep of his pasture
What God put inside him wasn’t oxygen or any kind of
air. He placed a part of what makes Him God into man, so
Visions Walking with a destination
15
that man can become His extension here on earth. For this
reason, God was able to entrust the caretaking of the earth
solely into the hands of man. He didn’t say let us (God
and man) have dominion. Watch that in Genesis 1:26, He
said let them (man) have dominion. The dominion on the
earth has therefore been entrusted into our care!
All the attributes by which we know God are true and He
is exactly what the Word says He is. Though we have His
Spirit within us, each person is equipped to do certain
things better than how any other person might do them.
This is the manifestation of the Spirit that dwells in man.
Scripture tells us that there are
many spirits that make up the
Spirit of God. There is something
specific planted in you
that no other person
Isaiah 11:2 can do but you
And the spirit of the LORD
shall rest upon him, the spirit
of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and
might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the
LORD;
Visions Walking with a destination
16
It is not that God has many spirits but His Spirit has
various manifestations and each of them can be
recognized as a spirit. For example, Samson had the Spirit
of God come upon him when he was facing the
Philistines. We see that the Spirit came upon him to give
him strength and might to overpower his enemies,
irrespective of their number. In this case, he operated with
the Spirit of Might. Likewise, Ahithophel operated with
the same Spirit of God as David’s advisor and all his
counsel were seen as directions from God. He operated
with the Spirit of Counsel.
2 Samuel 16:23
And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in
those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of
God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with
David and with Absalom
Each person on the surface of this planet has a mission or
a purpose. There is something specific planted in you that
no other person can do but you. Take a look at your
fingerprints. No other person amongst the over 7.5 billion
people on the earth has the same. This is how much God
Visions Walking with a destination
17
is interested in variation. He doesn’t want you to be
someone else. He just wants you to be you! Though we
look unto the lives of the successful to go forward, we
should however have it very clear that God wants us to be
ourselves and develop our potential to the fullest. I always
say, if you decide to be someone else, no one would be
you and God doesn’t need two of the same person here on
earth. You therefore become redundant and a deputy
instead of the original you were made to be.
Everything around you puts you in a perfect position to
fulfill your purpose here. Nothing is by error. Even if your
parents didn’t decide to have you and for that matter made
no plans for you, God had already thought of you and
made arrangements for you. He told Jeremiah that even
before he was conceived, plans were made for him by
Him.
Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and
before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified
thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations
Visions Walking with a destination
18
It amazed me, when I heard for the first time, a certain
man of God say the word “coincidence” doesn’t exist in
the Hebrew language. This is true and a great mystery to
discover. Everything that happens is known of God even
before they happen so they do not come as a surprise to
Him. Remember, He can tell the end from the beginning.
Your birthplace, your parents, your nationality, your skin
color, your sex, your height, to mention but a few, are all
inside the plan of God to help you accomplish that
mission placed in your hands. You are therefore not
disadvantaged so don’t focus on what others have and
neglect yours. No two people have the same destinies.
You have a SHAPE which
includes your Spiritual
gifting, your Habits, your Everything around you
Abilities, your Personality puts you in a perfect

CHAPTER TWO
The Spiritual Storehouse
O ne very significant thing we should pay attention to is
the fact that God provided everything man would
need for his existence even before man was created.
Man’s responsibility was to manage what God had
created. Man therefore was made into greatness and
riches; he had everything he needed and lacked nothing.
God even made rivers flow in the garden where He placed
man. In these rivers, great riches were found; gold,
precious stones and many more. The apostle Paul
unveiling the mysteries given unto him, talked about this
in his letter to the Corinthians.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man, the things
which God hath prepared for them that love him.
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for
the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of
God
Visions Walking with a destination
21
If the eye hasn’t seen, nor the ear heard and neither the
heart of man has conceived it, then the things God has for
us who love Him are spiritual for which reason His Spirit
has to reveal them to us through our spirits. He went
further to tell the Ephesian church that we, believers, are
blessed with all spiritual
blessings hoarded up for
us in heaven. If you are struggling with
someone for the same
space, it’s an indication that
Ephesians 1:3 at least one of you is in the
Blessed be the God and wrong place.
Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who hath blessed
us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in
Christ:
We are more spiritual than physical. We will look deeper
into this later. For this very reason, it was prudent that our
wealth should be stored at our stronghold, which is in the
spiritual and not just anywhere but in Heaven.
Visions Walking with a destination
22
God has given us enough space for each one of us to
maximize and operate in our full potential. The big
question therefore is; if we are all blessed as believers
with the same spiritual blessing, why are some believers
on top of their game and others at the bottom? The answer
is very simple and it’s just a single word;
RESPONSIBILITY. Everyone wants to hide behind the
masses and not have to answer for the loss of things
placed in their hands. This human attitude has infiltrated
the church and many enjoy being called believers rather
than living the believer’s life. The believer has an active
role to play in demonstrating the power and will of God to
all creation. Responsibility is when we stop shifting
blame, decide to stand up for ourselves and things that
concern us. A typical example I always use when talking
about responsibility is the prayer of Hannah, Samuel’s
mother. She had a very loving husband but her husband
had another wife who had children whereas Hannah had
none. The Bible says, he offered sacrifices and prayed
with Hannah occasionally that she may conceive and have
a child but this never happened. One day Hannah realized
that she had the problem and was facing the issue alone
because her husband, Elkanah, had children by his other
wife. This placed a great responsibility on Hannah which
Visions Walking with a destination
23
she decided to accept and live up to it. She wasn’t
interested in shifting blame or complaining, she knew if
she stood up, she could work her way through. This is
where most of us find ourselves now, at a crossroads,
having two options but one choice; accepting
responsibility or leaving it in the hands of others.
There are areas of your life no one can occupy for you but
you. This is responsibility. After the Israelites came out
of Egypt, the first army they encountered was Amalek.
They were a strong army so Moses strategically decided
to fight the battle spiritually by raising his rod while
Joshua and the other men fought physically with Amalek.
The interesting thing was that when Moses’ hands came
down, the Amalekites were winning whereas when they
went up, the Israelites were winning. For Israel to win the
battle, Moses’ hands had to be raised but Moses was tired.
The gentlemen who were with him knew the rod was
given to Moses by God and it was his responsibility. They
couldn’t hold it for him though they knew he was tired.
They decided to offer help by placing a stone beneath him
and supporting his weary hands so that he, Moses could
hold his own rod. You have to learn to hold your own rod.
Visions Walking with a destination
24
Exodus 17:8-13
Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and
go out, fight with Amalek: tomorrow I will stand on the
top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought
with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the
top of the hill.
And it came to pass, when Responsibility will
Moses held up his hand, that strike the difference
Israel prevailed: and when he between you and any
let down his hand, Amalek other believer
prevailed.
But Moses' hands were heavy;
and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat
thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the
one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and
his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the
edge of the sword
Responsibility will strike the difference between you and
any other believer.

25
Every system operates differently and the spiritual one
isn’t an exception. The spiritual world has principles by
which it operates and one of those principles worth
knowing is the fact that you cannot have what you do
not know of. This is very profound and mind blowing.
The blessing you don’t know of cannot be in your reach
though it is legally and rightfully yours. The issue isn’t
about God not blessing man, it’s about man not knowing
what he’s got. Let me tell you a story: I once heard of a
man who amassed great wealth for his children’s sake but
hid this treasure under the foundation of his house. He
died in an accident before his time and couldn’t tell his
children about it. After some time, his children entered
into a phase of financial
difficulty and had no one to The blessing you don’t
call on to. They had to beg and know of cannot be in
do menial jobs in order to get a your reach though it is
day’s meal. All the treasure legally and rightfully
amassed beneath their house yours
was legally theirs and was
waiting for them the whole time, they even walked on it,
but it never profited them because they had no knowledge
of it. This is what happens if you don’t know your worth
and the things you have as an inheritance.
Visions Walking with a destination
26
God made our blessing a spiritual one and not physical
because there wasn’t going to be enough room here to
store them. You are wealthier spiritually than you are
physically, irrespective of what you have or have
accomplished in life. Your spirit also knows more than
your mind does irrespective of all the great books you
have studied and the things you still remember. God made
man just as He is, so for man to really understand himself
in relation to the creation of the world around us, we have
to focus on God and look at how He created the world.
The Bible says He calls those things that are not seen
physically as though they do. He does that because He
sees those things exist in the spiritual realm.
Romans 4:17
(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many
nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who
quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be
not as though they were
Visions Walking with a destination
27
He made us like Him, spirits, and we have to pull things
from our spiritual store towards us here on earth. This is
where the issue of faith
comes in. Faith is simply
having a knowing inside Faith is simply having a
your spirit of something’s knowing inside your spirit
existence even though your of something’s existence
physical senses don’t give even though your physical
you confirmation of it. senses don’t give you
confirmation of it
Faith comes by the right
knowledge, which is the
Word of God.
The people who lived under the old covenant didn’t have
this spiritual storehouse we are talking about. They lived
daily as it was given unto them. We have a storehouse of
things already given to us that we don’t have to suffer to
get, we just have to know how to take them. All the
finished work of Jesus is in the storehouse made for us
and it’s given a heavenly protection for our sake so that
they aren’t stolen by the wicked one. You have a
storehouse in heaven with goods for you, it’s within your
reach therefore learn to take what you want from it.

CHAPTER THREE
Creation and Discovery
1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is
common to man: …
Ecclesiastes 1:9
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and
that which is done is that which shall be done: and there
is no new thing under the sun
After God, Creator of all things, finished creation, He
rested from His works and after Jesus finished His
redemptive work for man, He is now seated at the
Father’s side. After God had made man, scripture says
that God saw that it was good and He was pleased with it.
God didn’t just make the earthly realm we see with our
eyes, He also made the spiritual for us to operate in. As
mentioned in the preceding chapter, there is a spiritual
storehouse of things not visible to the human eye.
Visions Walking with a destination
30
This brings about what we call discovery. Discovery isn’t
creation. The dictionary defines to discover as finding out
information that was previously not known. It isn’t
creating new information. All the technologies we have
aren’t anything new. They have always existed, they just
weren’t known of. Our knowledge of them is what we call
discovery. What has been discovered is just a chip of
what we have spiritually. Our limit therefore cannot be set
for us by scientists or discoverers of any other kind. Our
limit should go far beyond what science even understands
and supports. Before the Wright brothers developed the
airplane, they were advised to stop as people had lost their
lives trying to do it. Great scientists of their time, told
them how impossible it was
for such technology to be
invented but nevertheless, Irrespective of how
they decided to take up that impossible a situation
may seem, once there is
responsibility, placed their
a desire for change,
lives on the line and
change would eventually
proceeded, knowing that all
come
there is isn’t all there is.
Irrespective of how impossible a situation may seem,
once there is a desire for change, change would eventually
come. I like the quote that states, “Where there is a will,
Visions Walking with a destination
31
there is a way”. Imagine I come up with a new scientific
discovery many people would reject it and the scientific
community would even penalize me. What I’m trying to
say is that, the fact that the scientific community wasn’t
aware or had no knowledge of it doesn’t make it a lie or
wrong, I discovered it first.
After Sir Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin and
published his findings in the British journal of
experimental pathology in 1929, the scientific society
including his very own colleagues rejected his findings.
They couldn’t accept the potency he attributed to
penicillin because Fleming didn’t have enough resources
and materials to illustrate his knowledge. It was sixteen
years later, in 1945, that two American scientists, Ernest
B. Chain and Howard W. Florey with all their technology,
illustrated and proved Fleming’s work. Both scientists
together with Fleming were given the Nobel Peace Prize
for scientific discovery that year. From this, you realize
that the scientific community’s rejection of Fleming’s
findings doesn’t make his work lies. Fleming saw it first
because he searched hard.
You have a storehouse that cannot be depleted and your
ability to enjoy of it, depends on how persistent you are to
unearth more concerning what you have. We may not
Visions Walking with a destination
32
have the drug for a particular disease now but that doesn’t
mean that disease is incurable. Every disease can be
totally cured because it didn’t come with man from the
beginning and if in the beginning it wasn’t so, then it can
be undone. The drug we have
all been looking for is in the Our not finding
spiritual storehouse waiting to answers to the

investigating because they
believe the answer they are seeking exists somewhere
waiting to be discovered. You are only hopeful and
pursue things worth pursuing because of the probability of
success. Jesus said everyone who seeks finds. Our not
finding answers to the questions we ask ourselves daily is

Matthew 7:8

CHAPTER FOUR
Spirit, Soul, Body
H uman beings are spirits, having souls and living in
bodies. The spirit-soul-body is one way we study
man in order to understand him. There are other
classifications, for example the apostle Paul does this
division into two; the outward man which refers to the
body and the inward man which refers to the spirit and
soul (2 Corinthians 4:16).
I would like to remind you of certain aspects of the
trichotomy of the human nature which we would need as
we go through this book. The real you, is your spirit. The
flesh is like the clothes you are wearing now which you
would put away when they get dirty and would finally
discard when they get old. See your flesh as another cloth
you are wearing and not as the real you because it isn’t.
One day, your flesh will get old and you will have to
discard it just like how you put away old clothes and you
will return to the Father to put on immortality as He has
prepared for you. The reason why many Christians still
don’t see the Holy Spirit as a person is because many
Visions Walking with a destination
36
people equate a person to flesh. The Holy Ghost is
existent and lives amongst us and He has decided not to
put on mortality, which is flesh. For our sakes, Christ
Jesus came to earth and clothed Himself in mortality.
Jesus didn’t become real when He was made human, He
has always existed. (John 1:14)
We also know from earlier discussions that God made us
to have His nature and He is a Spirit. We are therefore
automatically spirits. The flesh is what enables us to have
contact with the physical world. Any spirit that would
want to have any interaction with the physical world must
of necessity, put on flesh because it is illegal for spirits to
operate in the physical without flesh. No spirit can be
fully expressive here on earth without a body. The devil
being a spirit, in the garden, borrowed the serpent’s body
in order to interact with the carnal side of man. If the cow
gives birth to a cow and a dog to a dog, then God also
gives birth to gods, which are just like Him, spirits.
Psalm 82:6
I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of
the most High
Visions Walking with a destination
37
You as a spirit are complete. Your spirit has eyes. The
eyes of your spirit are the ones opened to make you see
into the spiritual realm. Whenever we see things in the
spirit, we see with our spiritual eyes and most of the
things we see in the spirit happen later in the flesh
because anything that happens in our physical world is
birthed in the spirit. In other words, the things we see
here, in the physical realm, originate from a spiritual
source.
Hebrew 11:3
Through faith we understand All the things we see
that the worlds were framed in the physical realm,
by the word of God, so that originate from a
things which are seen were spiritual source
not made of things which do
appear
Your soul is basically your mind. It’s made up of your
will, intellect and emotions. The mind isn’t tangible. It is
deep seated in man and many translations of the Bible
most often interchangeably use heart in place of the mind.
The mind is also sometimes used to fully represent the
Visions Walking with a destination

Compare the scriptures in Deuteronomy and that in
Mathew above, you realize that Jesus quoting from the
law, replaces the word “might” with “mind”. This is
because your mind is actually your might. How far you
can understand and exploit it determines your strength
and how far you can go.
Your personality, which makes
you a person, is seated in your

soul’s content. What we call
reality is subjective and each
person has his own reality. Based on our experiences and
the information stored up inside us, we may have a
similar definition for reality but the most important thing I
Visions Walking with a destination
40
want to emphasize here is that each person would live his
reality and not that of another person.
The mind is also a complete you and has eyes which you
can project to see what you want to see, into the
imaginary world.
The body or flesh as already discussed, is the outward
man the apostle Paul talked about.
2 Corinthians 4:16
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward
man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day
The body is the messenger that undertakes the tasks of the
soul and displays what the soul has accepted as reality. It
is that tangible part that permits communication with the
physical world. The body is also a complete you and with
your physical eyes, you are reading this book.
In a nutshell, we understand that each human being is
made of his spirit, soul and body. Each of these entities
are complete, having distinct functions which draws a line
between one and the other. Each one of them also has
eyes with which they are able to see into their own

worlds; the spiritual eye into the spiritual world, the soul’s
eye into the imaginary world and the physical eye into the

CHAPTER FIVE
The Mind
E very technology we have now was once thought of.
Though most of them appeared accidentally, people
envisioned the need for such technology for which
reasons they worked in those lines to produce them. Every
production is as a result of someone identifying a specific
human need and having the ardent desire to be the
solution to the problem identified. Ideas conceived long
enough in the mind would eventually become real. People
like Edison, the discoverer of
the light bulb, had this deep-
seated desire in him and didn’t Necessity is the

one goes down. He failed a
thousand times but never gave
up.
Looking at the scriptures, we read of the Word becoming
flesh.
Visions Walking with a destination
44
John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only
begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth
But before the Word ever became flesh, we read that the
Word existed from the beginning.
John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God
The Greek rendering of “the Word” is the word “logos”
which is also translated as the mind and thought of God.
The scripture therefore would read as in the beginning
was the thought and God had that thought and the
thought was God. If God’s thought is HIMSELF, then
we are also our thoughts!
The mind is the tool given to man by God for his
transformation. The word “nous”, is the mind as used in
the Greek language. It represents deep thoughts,
imagination, understanding and intellect. The twelfth
chapter of the book of Romans talks about this.
Visions Walking with a destination
45
Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may
prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will
of God
The mind isn’t tangible and therefore isn’t part of the
human body. It stands on its own. It is so powerful that
knowing how to manage it will automatically bring great
transformation into our lives. The renewal of the mind is
one very important and yet difficult process we all have to
go through if we want our
minds to produce great things
for us. The renewal of the
Renewal of the mind is the
mind is one very
incorporation of new important and yet
information into the mind and difficult process
the ability to dwell and live on
the new information acquired, discarding the old
knowledge or information. What makes this difficult is
the task we have to go through to unlearn. Unlearning is
very difficult and takes a long time. Imagine I introduce a
friend to you by the name John and ask you to forget the
Visions Walking with a destination
46
name I just told you. It’s very difficult. Information inside
our minds is constantly processed which makes it very
important what we allow in. The moment we permit any
information into our mind, it is been processed and the
mind which I can refer to as the most powerful computer,
also operates on the GIGO system run by our personal
PCs. GIGO simply means garbage in, garbage out. We get
the outcome or reap the harvest of the ideas and thoughts
we inject into our minds. The ideas we allow in are like
seeds which when processed inside the human mind
maximizes and produces in many folds.
The lives we live are based on our realities as discussed
briefly in the previous chapter. Your reality refers to those
things you have accepted as
truth and you therefore are Your reality refers to
prepared for them. According those things you have
to the dictionary, accepted as truth and
philosophically, reality is the you therefore are
totality of real things in the prepared for them
world, independent of people’s
knowledge or perception of them. This is the part where
philosophy gets it wrong. Understand clearly that reality
is personal and not a totality of everything. Science has
done very well in the study of the mind. Nevertheless, it
Visions Walking with a destination
47
must be brought to light that there are a lot of
shortcomings in these researches because science
basically studies living organisms and the way they
comport themselves. We can study the human being and
even open up the brain to see what is contained inside, put
a part into test tubes and run analysis in great laboratories
but the mind isn’t tangible to be analyzed in any way.
Science, which therefore
studies things with physical
evidence, therefore cannot help The brain can be
us with understanding the studied scientifically
power of the human mind. The but the mind cannot
Word of God deals very well
with the human mind for
which reason the Bible is our basic reference in order to
understand this all-important topic.
Each person’s reality is formed from a number of factors
and sources. It includes the information taken in and
experiences we have lived or heard from other sources.
These and many others come together to form our reality
and we live them. No man can escape his reality. We’ll all
live what we consider as real and because realities are
personal, you will live yours and I will live mine. What
you therefore accept as reality can help you or destroy
Visions Walking with a destination
48
you. It was for this reason that the Bible talks so much on
mind renewal, discarding those detrimental realities and
accepting new ones. It is only when you have accepted
something as a reality that it works for you. Many
believers accept the Word of God as truth but the Word
has still not become the reality they live. They believe all
the promises inside are for their sake but they still find it
difficult to accept that these promises were written
specifically for them. People like these cannot live the
Word and experience of the great promises and
advantages it offers because the Word is still a theory and
not a reality.
Using healing as an example, almost every Christian
believes that God heals but there are still two groups that
come under even those who believe in divine health. One
group accepts healing but never believe it’s for them.
They are never sure and certain that healing is going to
come their way. The other group sees divine healing as a
reality and accept God as their healer. They believe they
cannot be sick and even if they do, God would heal them
and give them back their health. These people actually
live sickness-free lives. It is not a matter of false hope and
assurance; it’s one of inadequate knowledge. The Bible
Visions Walking with a destination
49
explicitly says that believers are destroyed for lack of
knowledge.
Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: …
What destroys the people of God isn’t because the devil is
strong or because of their sins or any other thing. It’s
simply because they have no knowledge of what they
should know or they have the wrong information. Having
the wrong knowledge is even
worse than having no
Many believers accept the
knowledge at all. People with Word of God as truth but
the wrong knowledge always the Word has still not

ideas and reject anything new, live
believing they know. Those
who have no knowledge at all, easily accept the truth
when told them.

CHAPTER SIX
Truths versus Facts
T here is a great difference between facts and truths
worth discussing. Many confuse facts for truth.
Not everything that is truth can be proven to our
understanding; nevertheless, it is the truth. Many people
live their lives based on facts. Facts are information
proven and accepted by a group of people and dispersed
from that group. Facts are not necessarily truths just
because they make sense to
you. Every truth can be
considered a fact but not every
fact can be considered a truth. I Facts last for a while
used this example one time but truths last forever
when I was speaking to a
group of medical doctors. I
told them that not all the information they have in their
medical books can be called truth. The information are
facts alright but they may not all be truths because after a
period of time, revised editions of those books would
come out. Some information would be modified while
Visions Walking with a destination
53
others would be discarded because after a series of
experiments, scientists discovered that some of them
aren’t applicable anymore. Facts therefore last for a while
and not forever but truths do last forever.
There has never been a revised version of the Bible. What
we have are different translations and a simplification of
the grammar but never a revision of the content. No one
has ever come out to say a portion of the Bible is or was
wrong and should be taken out or replaced because the
Bible is the Word of God. The Word of God is truth and
endures forever.
1 Peter 1:23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and
abideth forever.
John 17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth
Visions Walking with a destination
54
John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make
you free.
You can’t change truths by having “your own” opinion.
Please understand that truths and realities aren’t in
anyway the same. Whereas realities depends on what a
person accepts to live, truths always stand and stand
forever. Go for the truth because it is the truth that can
help you and set you free forever, facts can only sustain
you for a while.

CHAPTER SEVEN
Seeing Beyond the Limits
Genesis 13:14-17
And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was
separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look
from the place where thou art northward, and
southward, and eastward, and westward:
For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it,
and to thy seed for ever.
And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that
if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy
seed also be numbered.
Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in
the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee
This is a portion of scripture taken from the scene where
God told Abram that He would give him all that he could
see. God could have given him anything but instead,
placed the limit of Abram’s greatness in his own hands
and asked him how far he could see. We also read from
scripture that Abraham finally became the heir of the
Visions Walking with a destination
57
world meaning the whole world became his own. How
did he do it?
Romans 4:13
For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world,
was not to Abraham, or to his
seed, through the law, but
through the righteousness of No one and nothing
faith can stop you from
having what you can

the whole world. Irrespective
of his eyes’ focal length or
upon which mountain he stood or which telescope he had,
there were no possible means by which with his physical
eyes, he could have seen the whole world. He saw the
whole world with the eyes of his mind. This is an
interesting spiritual principle we should understand and
get clear as believers. No one and nothing can stop you
from having what you can see, believe and speak!
Seeing before having is a principle demonstrated even
from creation by God. Everything that God created was
called into existence. He had a picture of how He wanted
the world to be. He knew how trees and every animal He
Visions Walking with a destination
58
made would look like before they came into existence.
This is primarily because He first conceived them in His
mind before they physically appeared.
This is very well understood from looking at the creation
of man. Man was first created in the mind of God and
later formed from the dust of the earth. In Genesis chapter
one, we read of the creation of man, that is inside the
mind of God. In chapter two, we read of the formation of
man that is his physical appearance.
Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of
God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the
ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;
and man became a living soul
Using another example, after King Hezekiah by the
intervention of God recovered from his sickness,
Visions Walking with a destination
59
Merodach-baladan, king of Babylon sent letters and a
present to Hezekiah. Hezekiah was so excited that he
showed the visitors everything he had in the palace.
Afterwards, the Word of God came to him through the
prophet Isaiah. Isaiah asked him what the visitors had
seen and Hezekiah told him they had seen everything.
Isaiah by the command of God declared unto Hezekiah
that as long as the Babylonians had seen, they would have
all that they had seen. That is why Israel was in captivity
to the Babylonians for which reason Daniel and his
friends also being royal children were taken along.
(Isaiah 39:1-8)

you what you see, you might say you see the kernel,
another person would see

others would also see a Don’t accept whatever
plantation of corn. So the big that comes your way,
question is how far can you make elections
see?
Many people can’t see the future from today and for that
matter never plan for it. Many say no one knows
tomorrow and for that cause leave everything to the
Visions Walking with a destination
60
course of life, accepting whatever comes their way. It is
very wrong to accept anything that comes your way
because we have been called into a life of election. We
choose what we want and desire because it is God’s
pleasure and wish that our joy is always complete. God
isn’t going to make a choice for us here. He places all the
possible options before us and asks us to choose what we
want. He has given us what we call “free will”. Even life,
He won’t choose for you, you have to choose it for
yourself.
Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you,
that I have set before you life and death, blessing and
cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy
seed may live:
Free will is that which makes man “independent” of God.
I placed the word independent in quotes because it
doesn’t mean independent as we understand from our
normal use of this word in the English language. Man
wasn’t made like a robot to automatically function as God
would have him. He has his own will and God has His
Visions Walking with a destination
61
will also. The will of anyone seeking to be successful
should be merged with the will of God. Understand that
you can’t cause God to change His will but you can
change yours to suite God’s will. The will power of man
allows him to decide and make initiative on his own even
without inspiration of the Spirit of God.
WHEN YOU SEE, YOU WILL TOUCH
A very careful and deep look at scripture shows no
difference between the things you see and you having
them. Let’s look at some examples on this:
1. After Moses had disobeyed God, the punishment God
gave him wasn’t death or anything else; a strict
differentiation between seeing and having was placed
upon him. This is an unusual punishment because
seeing and possessing isn’t virtually differentiated
but God shows His sovereignty here and struck a
difference between these two. By the Lord showing
him all the land, Moses should have obtained it and
reached there but he couldn’t because that was his
punishment.

Deuteronomy 34:4
And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I
sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob,
saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to
see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
2. When the children of Israel decided to invade and
take over Jericho, they decided to first, send scouts or
spies into the city to see how the city was and report
their assessment of it. They were just two men and by
no possible human means could they have taken
down the city by themselves but the soldiers of
Jericho didn’t want these men to leave with all that
they had seen because once they had seen it, having
the city becomes inevitable.
Joshua 2:1-5
And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men
to spy secretly, saying, Go view the land, even Jericho.
And they went, and came into an harlot's house, named
Rahab, and lodged there

And it was told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold,
there came men in hither to night of the children of
Israel to search out the country.
And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, Bring
forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered
into thine house: for they be come to search out all the
country.
And the woman took the two men, and hid them, and
said thus, There came men

3. The last example we will look at in this section is
something Jesus said when he was giving the Sermon
on the Mount. He was talking about adultery and said
this:
Visions Walking with a destination
64
Matthew 5:28
But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman
to lust after her hath committed adultery with her
already in his heart
He says whoever looks at a woman lustfully has already
slept with her. Adultery isn’t therefore the physical act
between two people but it occurs the moment a man looks
at a woman and in his mind desires to have her in bed.
This is because every idea borne in the mind would be
carried out in one way or the other. So Jesus in making
this strong statement deductively was saying if you think
it, you have it.
When you see, you will have it. Fix your mind on the
right things and see the right things manifest in your life.
Dominion on the earth has been placed into our hands but
God expects us to do what He, God, would have done if
He were in our shoes. Your free will should be made
beneficial to you by your ability to make the right choices
for your life. There is nothing hindering you. If you will
break loose from your minds barriers, see beyond the
limit society has set for you and decide to be your very
best, that beautiful life you envision is possible.

CHAPTER EIGHT
Seeing Before You See
N o one doubts the things they see or can prove with
their intellect. It is therefore important that we get
certain information deeply settled inside us if we want to
live life the happy way. Read carefully the scripture
below:
Habakkuk 2:1
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower,
and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what
I shall answer when I am reproved
This is the prophet Habakkuk speaking, he says he will
stand on his watch to watch and see what the Lord will
say to him. The issue here is, if someone speaks to you,
the sense organ that picks up the sound waves is hearing
not sight but the prophet says he will see what the Lord
will say unto him. Look at it again. He was talking about
meditation. The Word of God cannot be regarded as the
Visions Walking with a destination
67
words of man that are solely heard with the ears. The
Word of God has deeper meaning and great creating
power that we have to tap into for our own good and if we
can do that, we should learn to see the Word. You have to
see the effect of the Word in your life even before you see
it physically. This is where many folks get it wrong. It
isn’t pretense or ignorance it is imploring your mind to
drag things from the spiritual storehouse into the physical
world. This is because it takes your mind to pull things
from the spiritual into the physical world. The mind
therefore is the door to the spiritual. In order to assess
your spiritual storehouse, you need to use your mind.
Whenever anybody gets to the point where he sees the
Word, it automatically works for him. Look at this: After
Israel had sinned and God wanted to punish them as we
read in the book of Isaiah, God didn’t withdraw Himself
from them or destroy them by His hand, He decided to
blind their eyes so that they cannot see the Word. I’m not
talking about a physical blindness. This was because if
anyone sees the Word, it would have to deliver to that
person. God has no option than to move on behalf of the
person who sees the Word.
Visions Walking with a destination
68
Isaiah 6:10
Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears
heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears, and understand with their
heart, and convert, and be healed.
The secret is this, anything you see makes sense to you
and you refuse to doubt. When it makes sense to you, you
easily understand. When you get to the point of
understanding, you change your way of life and the last
stage behooves on God to deliver. God was therefore
cutting it from the root level so
that they don’t get to hear in
order to trigger this whole
process. This same scripture is The mind is the
used in the New Testament, door to the spiritual
let’s pick this scripture and
look at it again:
Acts 28:27
For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their
ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed;
Visions Walking with a destination
69
lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their
ears, and understand with their heart, and should be
converted, and I should heal them
Whenever, the Word of God is preached, it has to go
through some processes for the believer to become what
the Word says he will become.
1. Hearing the Word
The first is the hearing of the Word as preached by the
preacher. This is where your ears pick up what is being
said and carries it to your brain. Your mind has its own
store of information making it liable to accept or reject the
new information based on its content and its concordance
with the existing information.
2. Seeing the Word
The next stage is seeing the Word. This is very important
because the success of most of the subsequent processes
depends on this. This stage is seeing yourself in the
future. It’s about seeing with the eyes of your mind
another image of you already having what the Word
promises you in the present. When you see it, it carries
you to the third step:
Visions Walking with a destination
70
3. Understanding with your heart
If I show you a black bag and ask you the color of it, you
might even decide not to answer me because it’s so
obvious and needs no explanation. Your mind is able to
understand easily the new information coming in because
to your mind, it’s real and its happening already. When
you understand, you convert.
4. Convert
Conversion is the renewal of mind process we talked
about earlier. It’s about accepting the new information
and discarding old ones because the new one is now deep
seated inside. You have come to understand and accept
the new one as truth. Conversion comes with a change of
attitude and behavior. You have come to understand that
if you eat stale food, you will have food poisoning and for
this reason, you discard stale foods. Your discarding of
stale foods is an indication of your conversion. Prior to
your acquisition of this knowledge, you might have eaten
it!
5. God steps in
The last stage of this all-important process is where God
steps in. The last stage isn’t your duty, its God’s. God
says clearly “… And I should heal them.” This doesn’t
Visions Walking with a destination
71
give God an option. Watch that the word used here is
“should” and not “might”. The word “should” expresses
consequences. God is therefore saying, when anybody is
able to go through these four steps, consequently, I will
step into their situation.
Whichever part of scripture Get to the point where
you want to see in your life, you see the Word, it
begin by seeing it. When automatically will work
you see it, you will for you
understand and accept it as
your reality. When you
understand, you will change your ways and move in
accordance with the new acquired information. When you
convert, its God turn to deliver and make you see
physically what you begun to see with your mind.
Very seldom do people end up in places and in
professions they never dreamt of. If you can randomly do
an enquiry among people who have achieved great things
in life, almost all of them would tell you that they dreamt
and desired to be where they are before finally getting
there. The means by which they got there isn’t important
as some are so funny, unplanned and accidental but the
most important thing I want to bring across is that they
got there. Look at your own life, when you sit down
Visions Walking with a destination
72
carefully to meditate and ponder over your life, you
would realize that you have always wanted to live the life
you live now. You might have chosen this life
consciously or unconsciously. You have created your
today by your thoughts yesterday.
If our thoughts yesterday have created the lives we live
now, then it is no doubt that our lives tomorrow would be
shaped by our thoughts and mental processes of today.
For which reason we should learn to manage our minds,
focus and fix our minds energies on the right things.
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are
just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are
lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be
any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these
things
The apostle Paul in his in-depth letter to the Philippians
tells them great secrets. He tells them which things they
should focus and think of. He said this because you
Visions Walking with a destination
73
become what you think of. He gives them a criteria and
says, please think on things that are true, honest, just,
pure, lovely and those of good report. If we will all
understand that our mind has this power to attract those
things we think of towards us, then we would all be very
careful about the things we focus our thinking on.
This is what mediation is about.

CHAPTER NINE
Meditation
T he dictionary defines meditation as emptying the
mind of thoughts or focusing the mind on one thing
in order to aid mental or spiritual development. This
definition only brings us a bit closer to the purpose of
meditation. Meditation for the believer is creation time.
One thing about the mind is that, it’s able to deliver
whatever you focus on. As to whether anybody would be
successful or a failure in life all begins with the mind. The
mind is the battlefield and the internal force to be
overcome. Once you overcome the internal force of
distraction, the external force isn’t anything so difficult to
deal with. We should be able to overcome the thoughts
that limit us especially those we have imbibed in us as a
result of experiences and see ourselves as spirits instead
of flesh coupled with multiple limitations and
incapability.
The patriarchs, whose seeds we are, did walk with God
very well and did many practices worth taking good
notice of. One of those is the act of meditation. Most of
Visions Walking with a destination
76
these were acts we don’t see God telling them to do in the
Bible but they did them and reaped abundantly.
Meditation is a very simple and yet complex mental
activity. It moves the believer into the realm of the
spiritual to have a look at his storehouse thereby giving
him the chance to take from it and bring them into the
physical by election. One thing worth mentioning is the
fact that our thoughts speak
louder than our human voice in Our thoughts speak
the spiritual realm. This louder than our
doesn’t negate the importance human voice in the
of vocal confession in creating spiritual realm
the world we want to see. This
will be dealt with in a later
chapter, Start Speaking It.
We read from the book of Genesis that Isaac went out to
mediate in his field. He had become so rich and lived in a
“mansion”, had family around him and a lot of servants to
wait on him but he still went out into his field to meditate.
It is preferable to meditate when you are alone. This
creates that serene environment where you can
communicate your thoughts to God and see into the
spiritual.

Most people who have had great encounters with God,
had them alone, while seeking the face of the Lord.
Whenever we have an issue and we seek a way of escape,
we think it through thoroughly. This can be likened to
meditation with the difference being that meditation is
aimed at pulling down the great riches we have and are
promised in the Word of God. You should set time aside
to meditate.

Jesus always prayed alone and never went with his
disciples. Whenever He went with them, he left them
some distance to where He intended to go. He went alone
and communed with God. Jacob also met the Jehovah-

the lead whiles he remained behind.

After Moses died, a great task was placed on Joshua and
he had a great worry because he feared he couldn’t do the
great things Moses did for the people. For that matter, the
people would not recognize him as their leader but the
Lord appeared to him and encouraged him not to worry
about that, giving him a strategy to get the success he was
looking for. The strategy the Lord gives Joshua is to keep
his eyes fixed on the Word and meditate on it. The Lord
promised him two basic things as a result of his
meditation; prosperity and good success. That moment
was the first time the Lord spoke to anybody concerning
good success in the Bible.
Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth;
but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou
mayest observe to do according to all that is written
therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous,
and then thou shalt have good success
We read further from scriptures that Joshua did extremely
well and led the Israelites into the promise land. That is
the power of meditation.

The prophet Habakkuk was also a man of meditation. In
his book where he elaborates the happenings of his time,
we understand that there was a great situation at that time.
He prayed to God that He would remember His people
and turn His eyes back to them. After making this prayer,
he didn’t go back to sleep, he decided to lock himself up
in a secluded place and meditate.
Habakkuk 2:1
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower,
and will watch to see what He will say unto me, and
what I shall answer when I am reproved

Habakkuk had a watch,
meaning he was an intercessor
but the watch could also represent a special place he had
set aside to have encounters with God. He needed to get
to a place where he could be alone with God. He said
Visions Walking with a destination
81
something very important and worth looking at. He said
“and will watch to see what He will say unto me”. What
I want you to realize is that when someone is speaking to
you, you hear, not see what is been said. We briefly
looked at this scripture above but look at it again. It is
important we learn to see what we hear. The psalmist says
the Lord has spoken once but he heard twice.
Psalm 62:11
God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that
power belongeth unto God
In order to hear twice we should be meditating for the
Word to resound in our heart.
Meditation is fixing your eye on one thing till it becomes
or looks so real to you. In our case, it is the Word. This
can be backed by the scripture below.
Acts 28:27
For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their
ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed;
Visions Walking with a destination
82
lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their
ears, and understand with their heart, and should be
converted, and I should heal them
This is what happens when you focus your mind’s eye on
a thing for a long time: it becomes real to you, it is
understood by your heart, you get converted and your
shining becomes evident to all.
It is during meditation that revelations pop up and people
with revelations are “dangerous” people. They act based
on what has been revealed to them. This is where they
have heard twice and nothing can convince them of what
they have heard. They become “crazy” and their actions
are based on what they have received and not what is
surrounding them. When you meditate, you see and no
one can challenge you on what you have seen. You have
your own sight and you can see well. You move
independent of another person’s sight. We all trust our
senses, you trust yours and I trust mine. Revelations are
personal. What worked for you might not work for me for
which reason we should all seek time with God in
meditation in order to get our own revelations. You don’t
pick any Word from scripture and decide to run by it. You
Visions Walking with a destination

run with your revelations. Revelations are specifically for
you. The whole Bible is for the entire world, not for you
alone. You can therefore bet your life on a revelation
knowing it won’t fail. Seek your personal revelations
through meditation.

CHAPTER TEN
Dream It, It’s Free
I want to begin this section by making you imagine
something. After reading it, close your eyes and see it
in your mind.
Imagine there is a humungous stadium, full of people
dressed in their best not for a football game but a very
important occasion. In the middle of the stadium is a
grand and beautiful platform erected. The decorations on
the platform are in white and red. There is a red carpet
laid out to about hundred meters as if to welcome some
very important dignitaries. The people are of different
races but cheer together because they are welcoming
some great world leaders. As they are cheering, three
helicopters enter the stadium. Military men quickly get
down from two of them and surround the other helicopter.
The crowd is signaled to be upstanding and welcome the
new UN Secretary General. There and then, someone gets
out of the helicopter accompanied by other people all
dressed in their best. You identify the president of your
Visions Walking with a destination
86
country among them. You decide to have a good look and
you realize that the UN secretary they have all been
waiting for is you and you are being accompanied by your
beautiful family. You look at the crowd in all directions
and wave at the crowd with a broad smile. You boldly
walk on the red carpet onto the podium and begin to
deliver your speech.
This is how it all begins. It all begins by having a mental
picture of where you want to reach and who you want to
become. You just saw yourself in a very comfortable and
respectable position but you paid nothing for using your
mind.
Let me ask you some questions about what you just
envisioned:
What was the color of the outfit you wore?
Which members of your family accompanied
you?
The answers to these questions are details that weren’t
provided in the scenario I gave you but you could
describe what you wore and saw the family members that
accompanied you. This is because the mind is able to fill
Visions Walking with a destination
87
up the spaces in your vision to make it complete and
perfect.
No one charged you for visualizing, it’s free so why
dream small? Dream big! You can dream of whatever you
want to become and become it only if you don’t give
yourself excuses of why you cannot get there. The most
important thing is having it deep down within you that
you can get there. How it will happen isn’t yours to do. It
may happen gradually, by choice or maybe what we may
call an accident but the underlying factor here is that, it
will happen. You need to step outside your boundaries
and use your mind.
When God called Abram, it was very important that he
removed all boundaries from him so that he wouldn’t be
restricted in anyway. God asked him to go outside of his
father’s household, and even
leave his country of birth.
What I’m saying is that there is
the need to sometimes Dreaming is free, so
overlook ethnic barriers, dream big
language, educational, social
and national boundaries if we
really want to go as far as we
can think. Anybody who doesn’t want to take
Visions Walking with a destination

responsibility for their lives would easily give up, finding
excuses to justify why they can’t go far. If I should ask
you to believe that you would be in Saudi Arabia next
week, you would probably give me a lot of excuses such
as not having a visa to that country or not knowing
anyone there and many others. These are the excuses I’m
talking about. I have met a number of medical doctors
who didn’t study science in their high school education.
Some studied arts, business and all the other courses but
they ended up becoming medical doctors. How did this
happen? This happened because they refused to give
themselves excuses as to why they couldn’t achieve their
long awaited dreams of becoming doctors. They may
have studied the “wrong” courses in high school, but they
still kept dreaming of becoming medical doctors and they
got it. These are people who had enough excuses to stop
them from dreaming of ever becoming medical doctors
but they still believed.
It makes no sense dreaming If there is a man to

principle makes things clear and real to you and hence,
you start believing. Nothing can therefore stop you if you
can see something and believe you will get it. You will
get it no matter how. The “how” isn’t yours to think
about, yours is to envision and believe knowing that if
there is a man to believe, there is a God who performs.

CHAPTER ELEVEN
Jacob’s Secret
A fter inheriting the much-desired blessing at the
expense of his brother Esau, Jacob couldn’t find
home in his home and decided to flee from it. His brother
Esau who customarily should have inherited the blessing
was furious and for this cause, Jacob had to flee and live
with his uncle Laban, working as a hired servant. He lived
with his uncle for twenty years, serving fourteen years for
his two wives and an extra six for the property he finally
had. After serving for the first fourteen years, Jacob
decided to leave Haran, where Laban was and return to
his father’s house because his uncle who had also become
his father in-law cheated him. His wages had been
modified ten times all to the advantage of Laban. After
disclosing his intention to leave Haran, Laban confessed
to him that he had realized that the Lord had blessed him
because of Jacob for which reason he wanted Jacob to
stay. He therefore asked Jacob to name his wages and he
would be paid that amount. Here, Jacob does something
extremely amazing; in the breed were speckled, striped
Visions Walking with a destination
92
and brown animals. Aside these were the pure breeds. The
pure breeds only produce of their colour and nothing else.
Jacob asks Laban to take all the striped, speckled and
brown colored from the herd and leave him with the pure
breed. The agreement was that if any speckled, striped or
brown henceforth appeared in the flock, it will be Jacob’s
wage. Laban gladly accepts this deal because it looks
virtually impossible for the pure breeds to produce
speckled, striped or brown
offspring. Jacob received this
idea as he was dreaming and Dreaming and
envisioning a way out of envisioning is the
Laban’s hands. He figured out pathway to great
that if he could fix the pure success
breed’s eye towards the
colours he wanted them to
become, then their offspring would also be like what they
have seen because you get what you see.
Genesis 31:10
And it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived,
that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and,
Visions Walking with a destination
93
behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle were
ringstraked, speckled, and grisled
Laban delivered the impure breeds into the hands of his
sons who took them from Jacob, a three-day journey,
taking no chances that a male may cross breed or Jacob
should steal his flock. Jacob said he lifted up his eyes and
saw in a dream. He wasn’t asleep when he saw all that he
saw. All he saw was by the power of his imagining mind.
We know this because the spiritual eye is opened by God
so that we can see into the spiritual world but the physical
and soul’s eye depends on the individual to open. Here
Jacob says he lifted up his eyes meaning, he consciously
wanted to envision and see something so he did. (Genesis
31:10)
He figured out that since we produce what we constantly
see and process in our minds, then placing a small stick
designed to look like the flock he wanted before the pure
breeds during mating time would eventually produce his
assigned wage.
Genesis 30:37-42
And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the
Visions Walking with a destination
94
hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them,
and made the white appear which was in the rods.
And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks
in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks
came to drink, that they should conceive when they
came to drink.
And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought
forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.
And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of
the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in
the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by
themselves, and put them not unto Laban's cattle.
And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did
conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the
cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the
rods.
But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so
the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.
He knew that all the animals would come to drink often
from the trough so that is where he decided to place the
poles he had made. When he began doing this, the
animals that looked on the poles while conceiving bore
the colors he desired and he waxed strong and grew in
Visions Walking with a destination
95
cattle, in sheep and goat. The appearance of the colour on
some of them wasn’t an accident, it was intentional. Jacob
shows us the effect of the rod: when the weak animals
were mating, he quickly removed the rod so that they
wouldn’t fix their eyes on the rod and produce such. Thus
the weak breed became Laban’s and the strong ones
became his.
It is very important
The idea here is this; these
that you are selective
were animals we wouldn’t

we human beings do but
because their eyes were made
to see a specific colour
consistently, they produced of that colour. The animals
indirectly or passively had this information entered into
their minds, processed it and produced offspring of such.
Any information, once input into the mind is processed.
That is why it is very important that you are selective in
what you watch and listen to.
Understand friend, you can’t watch and listen to
everything. Every image that enters the mind is processed
and the blank spaces are filled. All music or speech that
you listen to, are processed the same. This is what I call
Visions Walking with a destination
96
“Transmission of Thoughts”. Just one image can bring
someone into greatness whiles another can destroy
someone else’s life.
We understand from the Bible that the Spirit of God backs
the Word of God. Jesus said the words He speaks are
spirit and life. This is because, He Jesus is a Spirit and the
source of eternal life.
John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth
nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit,
and they are life.
You go to church to hear the preacher preach all the time
because even unconsciously, you become what the Word
says by constantly hearing it. There is a saying that says,
“When you stay around the barbershop for a while, sooner
or later you will get a haircut”. Whenever anyone speaks,
two things happen: their spirits follow their words and the
words spoken are also processed in the minds of the
listeners. The simplicity of all I want to say here is that
your mind is conditioned to accept what you watch and
what you hear. All these would become your reality and
you will have to face them. Pay attention to the lyrics you
Visions Walking with a destination
97
listen to and remind yourself of the criteria Paul gave to
the Philippians on the things they should fix their
attention and mind on.
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are
just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are
lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be
any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these
things.
Watch the company you keep. The Bible says two cannot
walk together unless they agree on a thing. Irrespective of
how different you may think you are from your friends,
you share more similarities than you are probably aware
of. Remember that human beings are spirits and the
spiritual atmosphere is very transmitting, stay around for
a while and you become one. We call this “peer pressure”.
It isn’t any pressure, it is the manifestation of the
transmitting nature of the spiritual environment. If you
want to have a fair idea of yourself, look at those you
hang out with.

CHAPTER TWELVE
Where Are You Going?
I f you know where you are going, you are able to
prepare yourself for the journey and you don’t stop in
the middle thinking you have reached your destination. I
believe each of us should strive to fulfill our purposes
here on earth. The world is in the state in which we find it
now because many potentials are not realized. The late
Dr. Myles Munroe said the

Many will not realize even half of their potential because
they cannot think of anything beyond their mediocre
minds. They just leave everything to the course of life.
Please understand that God can make you whoever and

size of your greatness to your

Many today go to work not because of a passion for the
work but to make a living. They go to work not because
they want to add anything to their field but to fulfill their
hours and return home. Others hate their work so much
that going to work becomes a burden. This is an
indication that you are in the wrong area. Your purpose is
linked to your passion. Follow your passion and you

We all have different passions. If we would all consider
our passions and the things we feel connected to, we
would all be in our rightful places. In the magnetic field,
unlike poles attract but in the spiritual world like poles
attract. You would attract people of your type and have
people you feel connected to as role models. Having a
role model doesn’t mean you want to be like that person,
it means that person is offering you his shoulders to stand
on and even be able to see further. That is to give you the
advantage of their experience
to shorten your journey. The
Bible advises us to be smart You are the hero in

Hebrews 6:12
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who

Someone is occupying the position you would want to
occupy in the future for now. That person is your focus
because he is where you are aiming to be. Since life isn’t
a race, his being there doesn’t nullify your possibility of
Visions Walking with a destination
103
getting there also. If life happened to be a race, we would
all have to stop running because there are people where
we all desire to be. When you have located where you
want to get to in life, fix your eyes on the person there,
the one occupying that position now and admire him, love
him and respect him. Make his position attractive to you
by loving him. You should understand that you cannot
occupy or fully function in a position you have envied or
hated.
I happened to one day speak to a young man who wanted
to be the leader of a group he formed part of. This young
man never accepted the leadership of the organization, he
despised them and never respected anyone. He couldn’t
accept his position as a follower and allow himself to be
led but here he was wanting to be the leader of that same
organization. As I spoke to him, I told him the first sign of
every good leader is that they are good followers. Since
he wasn’t a good follower, I assured him that he would be
a bad leader. The reason is that no one would want to be
led by someone who never wanted to be led. That was
when he realized his errors and was sorry for them
Visions Walking with a destination
104
Ants respect their leaders and

When an ant finds a source of No one wants to be led

to the anthill and reports it. It
leads the other members to
where the food is and none breaches the direction
thinking they have a better and faster route to get to the
destination. We have to learn to respect, love and
appreciate our leaders today because we will be there
tomorrow and we will want our followers to equally do
the same.
This is one major problem in the church of God today.
The love, respect and honour we had for our leaders and
ministers isn’t seen anymore. People are waiting for a
drop of oil to stain the plain sheet so that they have
something to talk about. This is the spirit of familiarity
and it’s affecting the church so much. Instead of focusing
on the anointing upon their lives, we look at what we have
always known about them therefore limiting the flow and
movement of God. The anointing you don’t respect
cannot in anyway benefit you. This was what happened in
Jesus’ neighborhood when He went home. People were
Visions Walking with a destination
105
heard saying things like, “we know him, He’s a local guy,
He can do nothing good” and the Bible says because of
this, the movement of God among them was restricted.
Mark 6:3-5
Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of
James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not
his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without
honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin,
and in his own house.
And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid
his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
You have a purpose for your existence and before you can
fulfill it, you should look at your passion and see your
path clear. Someone’s success doesn’t affect your ability
to succeed, focus on your life, be in your track and run
your race. Life isn’t meant to be a trial run. This life you
live isn’t a model for the real one. You only have one life
so live it well.

CHAPTER THIRTEEN
Making Elections
T here is a clear difference between mediocrity and
humility. The Christian life is one of election. All
the blessings promised us are chosen. You don’t
automatically enjoy the blessing just because you are a
Christian. You decide intentionally to enjoy of it because
God wouldn’t force anything down your throat. Besides,
God has given you free will which allows you to make
your own choices without Him influencing you.
Galatians 3:14
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the
Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the
promise of the Spirit through faith
The life we live is such that in every single aspect of it,
you need to make a choice. You make your choices
consciously or unconsciously. The best thing to do now is
to learn to make your own choices consciously because if
you don’t, you would make one unconsciously which may
Visions Walking with a destination
108
not be to your pleasure. Your refusal to make a choice on
its own is a decision, meaning you accept whatever comes
your way. You therefore don’t stand in any position to
complain over anything that happens to you. Life is like
being in a restaurant; you are served what you order.
In the previous chapters, we
understood that we are blessed Until you learn how to
with all spiritual blessings. The make choices
fact that you have food in your consciously, you will be

get hungry. It also doesn’t
guarantee an automatic filling,
you have to decide to eat in order to get full. This is what
election is all about.
The apostle Paul speaking to the Corinthian church tells
them that all things are theirs. Even life and death is a
matter of election. He shows an example in the book of
Philippians where he found himself at the crossroads
between life and death having an election to make. He
simply chose life and refused to die.
1 Corinthians 3:21-22
Therefore, let no man glory in men. For all things are
yours;

Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or
life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all
are yours;
Philippians 1:23-24
For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to
depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for
you.
Jesus Christ also made elections. They sought to kill Him
several times but He escaped all their attempts explaining
that His time wasn’t up yet. He decided to go when His
time was due and He, Jesus, confirmed this election status
given to us.
Mark 11:24
Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire,
when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall
have them
Visions Walking with a destination
110
The most important thing I want you to note here is that
He said “whatsoever things ye desire”. This is a statement
confirming election. We are therefore not chosen by
circumstances or victims of them but we choose our own
circumstances. How do we then make choices? Read this
scripture carefully:
Ephesians 3:20 Now unto
him that is able to do
exceeding abundantly above You are not supposed
all that we ask or think, to be a victim of any
according to the power that circumstance
worketh in us
What I want you to see is that you make election by your
words or by your thoughts (ask or think). Among these
two processes, though your words carry weight which we
will look at later, your thoughts are very powerful and
creative.
This is because before you speak any word, you first think
of it. The words we speak therefore are products of our
thoughts which have been selected carefully and used. I
say selected because we don’t say all the things we think
Visions Walking with a destination
111
of. Have you ever imagined how life would have been if
we could directly read the thoughts of others? What you
utter is just a small percentage of what you think about.
So it is possible for someone to speak something and their
mind is not in agreement with
what their mouth is saying.
In this case, what has more You make election by
your words or by your
weight and is being considered
thoughts
isn’t what we hear you saying
but what is being processed in
your mind. This is what I call
the “vocal-mind dissociation”. You may try to speak
something as if you believe in it but what you say should
agree with what your mind accepts as reality.
We are blessed with a storehouse containing everything
we would ever need for life here. The knowledge of this
helps us to incline our spiritual man into spiritual
transactions in order to draw things from our spiritual
account into the physical. This makes information the
most expensive commodity because those who perish is
because of lack of knowledge. The principle of having
what you see has always existed and worked just that very
few know of it. Once you have spotted something in your
Visions Walking with a destination
112
account, make election and intentionally pull it into the
physical with your mind. This is the concept of election.
Nothing happens by accident. What is happening in our
lives today and what will happen tomorrow, is shaped by
what we fix our minds on. Be conscious of this truth
always and make conscious elections by focusing your
mind on the things you really desire in life.

CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Start Speaking It
N ever be scared of speaking about your vision or
what you want to become. The more you speak it,
the more you believe and get stuck in it. Earlier, I
mentioned the vocal-mind dissociation which says that
every statement that would be productive in our lives
should be accepted and spoken by our minds. Though
speaking out with the mouth is also important, the mind
should also agree. There is a clear line between boasting
and telling who you are. With boasting, you
overemphasize your possession.
People who have big dreams and often air them out are
termed “dreamers” but the
truth is that they are always

Anything you want to see in your life has to be accepted
by your mind. There are instances where you want to see
something in your life but your mind hasn’t accepted it
yet. This is where the issue of constant proclamation and
confession comes in. When you confess something, even
though you may not believe in its reality, your
consistency in proclaiming it pushes this information
down into you and later it becomes accepted as reality.
It is important that you speak as a Christian. The Christian
walk, which is a walk of faith, is characterized by
speaking. Whatever you believe, you speak.
2 Corinthians 4:13
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is

The Jews from infancy are taught to see themselves as
superiors knowing that no one and nothing can overcome
or rule over them. You hear clear dominance in the
speech of a Jew because that is how he was raised up.
Isn’t it amazing that Jews are making great contributions
and doing great things at different levels and places in this
world? Israel’s population is just 0.2 percent of the
world’s population but 20 percent of the Nobel Prize goes
to them. Isn’t it amazing what dreamers can achieve?
Words go a great deal into creating the world around you.
Remember God made man

Proclamation or confession demonstrates your strong
believe in something. No one can boldly promise to give
another a car if he doesn’t have one. His speaking on
giving another a car demonstrates his strong believe in his

CHAPTER FIFTEEN
Living like You Are There
1 Peter 2:24
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the
tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto
righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed
The scripture above is an extract from the great healing
chapter, Isaiah 53 in the Bible, interpreted by the Apostle
Peter. Anybody who comes to God and understands what
this chapter says about their health will receive their
healing irrespective of the ailment they suffer. There is a
great mystery in this. Watch that He said “by His stripes
ye were healed” and not ye would be healed. Here is
somebody having pain, suffering from an ailment and
doesn’t know how things are going to turn out for him. He
comes to God seeking healing but he is told that he has
been healed. All the while, he still feels pain and all the
physical manifestations of the disease. If this person
would understand and begin to live like a normal and
healthy person fixing his eyes on Jesus, all the symptoms
Visions Walking with a destination
120
of the disease would vanish and never return. This is
living like you are there.
Another example I would want us to look at is the
scenario of the prophet Jonah. He had disobeyed God and
for this reason was swallowed by a fish but while he was
still in the fish’s belly prayed a prayer. I call this the
“Past Tense Prayer”. He was actually inside the fish’s
belly but was thanking God for rescuing him.
Jonah 2:1-10
Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the
fish's belly,
And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the
LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I,
and thou heardest my voice.
For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the
seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows
and thy waves passed over me.
Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look
again toward thy holy temple.
The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the
depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped
about my head.
Visions Walking with a destination
121
I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth
with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou
brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
When my soul fainted within me I remembered the
LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy
temple.
They that observe lying vanities forsake their own
mercy.
But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of
thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed.
Salvation is of the LORD.
And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out
Jonah upon the dry land.
This indicates that Jonah could see himself beyond being
inside the fish. He never thought that his life would end
inside there. He therefore saw it before it happened.
While inside the fish, he lived as if he was already out.
Start living as if you are there.
To get to where you envision yourself, a similar principle
works. You should start recognizing yourself as though
you are there already and behave likewise. Years back
when we were just little boys, I had a friend who wanted
to be president of our country. That was his vision and he
Visions Walking with a destination
122
aspired to get there. One day, he woke up and decided to
pierce his ear and wear an earring which his mother didn’t
approve of. His mother sat him down to advise him not to
do it by posing one simple question before him. She asked
him if he had seen any president with an earring. He
couldn’t answer, kept quiet and gave up his plans of
getting his ear pierced. What his mother was trying to
make him understand was to make him appreciate that to
get there; you should from today start living like you are
there already.
The problem many young people have today is the
difficulty they have in appreciating that their visions as a
matter of truth should be strengthened by their youth and
not destroyed by it.
Psychology has entered into their heads that they think
they have to live according to how psychologists expect
them to live. This is a lie!
During my course of study, I
happened to have learnt Learn to see the future
psychology. There was one better than you see the
thing that seemed so past
fascinating to me, the
characteristics allocated to
each age group. For example, psychologists say it’s

normal for adolescents to be rebellious, undisciplined and
immoral. Any adolescent who comes into contact with
this information, has a justification to do it. They feel no
remorse nor the need to act better thinking that that is how
he should live and those who don’t live that way are
termed abnormal. We are actually being remote-
controlled if we let ourselves and our lives be dictated by
how some people think it
should be.
Surround yourself with
Once you have envisioned
materials that point you
your life the way you desire it
towards your vision
to be, it is left unto you to
surround yourself with
materials that make you think
and behave as such. No one can force you to think as they
think but if you want to be in the position that another
occupies, then you should be prepared to think like those
in that position. If you desire to be a pastor, you should
from today start loving, caring, protecting, encouraging,
exhorting, studying and preaching the Word of God like a
pastor. The other person who wants to be a politician
should also start working on his speeches, be concerned
about the political world, read about past great political
leaders, follow the news all over the world and be

124
interested in current affairs. Remember friend that nothing
happens out of error in this world. Everything that
happens is intentional and is ordered into existence. You
should likewise identify the area of your vision and start
living as if you are already there. We all say “we will
cross the bridge when we get there” but we should
prepare to cross and even see beyond it if we are going to
successfully make this journey called life.
Allow people to see where you are heading towards even
without telling them and permit them to recognise you in
that position. Do not ignore or feel bad if you are called
by that office because that is what they see and as they see
your vision with you, they support you and propel you
into your rightful and desirable orbit. The way you dress,
your selection of words and attitude should be
characteristic of your focus. You should be able to do this
without seeing it as something difficult or as work
because you are doing what you love to do. By doing
what you love, you don’t get tired or bored. If you
actually want to get there, live like you are there. The

CHAPTER SIXTEEN
Protecting Your Stronghold
T he dictionary defines stronghold as a place of
dominance. Every army has a stronghold and that is
where most of the soldiers are concentrated with all the
arsenal available to that particular army. It is therefore
hardly possible for an enemy to invade and prevail at the
stronghold of their opponent. Whenever an army goes to
war, a camp is set up which
becomes its stronghold. This is
the place where they all retreat Your stronghold,

Returning to camp isn’t an dominance, is in your
acceptance of defeat, it is mind

stronghold to reorganize,
regroup and return to the battlefield. It is the same place
that all the army’s weapons are prepared and stored. In
the nutshell, everything the army would need to fight the
enemy and win victory is found at the stronghold.

127
The apostle Paul when speaking to the Corinthians about
the power available in the Word of God, emphasizes that
the Word is able to bring down and overpower even
strongholds. He further goes on to explain what
strongholds are and lists the following: imaginations and
opposing knowledge to the Word of God. It is interesting
to know that the weapons of our warfare, as the Apostle
talked about, aren’t meant to burn the devil and his
cohorts nor nullify the devils power but to work on the
mind. Imaginations and opposing thoughts are inside the
mind therefore it isn’t tangible or in other words,
physical.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the
flesh:

stronghold is still intact, the
battle isn’t over yet, there is
still great hope. Any failure you have experienced in your
life came after you accepted failure in your mind. Once
your mind concedes defeat, irrespective of what your
physical capabilities and talents can do, you have lost it.
For this very reason, God, the maker of man and the only
one who knows man better than himself, asks man to
protect and take care of his mind. The protection of the
mind isn’t something we entrust in the hands of God and
say “God please protect my mind for me” and go round
feeding our minds with junk that would destroy us. He
requires us to protect it very well. In the book of
Proverbs, advice is given concerning the protection of the
mind.
Visions Walking with a destination
129
Proverb 4:23
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the
issues of life
We see here that the “mind” is replaced by the word
“heart”. This, we have talked about already. A careful
look at this scripture shows that the English language has
made the verb used for the protection of the mind a bit
mild by using the verb “to keep”.
The original rendering of the verb has a military
connotation. We are supposed to guard our minds like a
treasure placed under military surveillance. You realize
that in the verse we just read, there is a command asking
you to keep your heart. You can see that though your
mind forms part of you, it is treated as a separate entity
from you.
You have to use the other components of you to protect
your mind. A great man of God said “keep your mind and
your mind will keep you”. You have to be careful about
the relation your spirit and body would have with your
mind because they are supposed to take care of your
mind.
Visions Walking with a destination
130
The protection of the mind is primarily the spirit’s
responsibility because we are more spiritual than carnal.
If the Word of God has got the power to remove negative
thoughts and imaginations
as we saw in Paul’s letter to
the Corinthians, the same Protect your mind with
Word of God also has the your spirit and body
power to keep our minds in
shape.
Proverbs 4:20-22
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my
sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the
midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them, and health to
all their flesh.
I always see this scripture as a father giving good advice
to his beloved son. The Word of God is a discerner of
thoughts and intents of the mind of man.
Visions Walking with a destination
131
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and
sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the
dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and
marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents
of the heart
It is the Word of God that is able to sieve the content of
the mind, discard what needs to be discarded and bring in
new content all for the betterment of the man who allows
himself to be worked on by the Word of God. No one is
therefore disadvantaged because the Word of God is
available to us all. The issue is the willingness to accept
the dividing power of the Word of God. Just as a seed
contains enough power and strength to cause the
sprouting of a new plant which later bears fruit to be eaten
by men, the Word in itself also has transformational
power. Any man that feeds on it for a period of time, gets
his faculties in tune with the Word and starts becoming
what he is predestined to be.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
Carving Your Vision with the
Strength of Your Youth
Joel 2:28
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out
my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream

This is an extract from the
prophesy given by the
prophet Joel, talking about Visions are given to
today. He clearly states that young men because

because visions come with work and needs to be carved
out.
Anybody’s purpose and vision should be realized and
shaped during their youth. Youth is the prime stage of
anybody’s life for which they should be performing their
life’s assignment. As we walk
through life each day, we
should be prepared to meet our You should always be

who are ready for it only see it.
I once heard a young man say
to a friend that she was a lucky person. The lady replied,
“Not that I am a lucky person, I am always prepared to
meet opportunities”. There are many who wait to prepare
themselves when the opportunity comes around, that isn’t
going to work. You should always be prepared while
waiting for your opportunities. You don’t know when
your opportunity may come but one thing you know is
that it will surely come. For this reason, there is a greater
need to prepare ourselves to meet them.
Once as a young person you have your vision aligned and
well defined, know where you are heading towards and
start putting the freshness of your youth to your vision.
Visions Walking with a destination
135
You know clearly which venture you should enter and
which ones to avoid. You don’t pick up any challenge or
chance because it comes your way, you pick it because it
is in alignment with your vision. Irrespective of how
colorful an opportunity may be, if it doesn’t align with
your vision and passion, there is no sense in picking it up
because you are going to find yourself in an area you have
less passion and love for making you feel
unaccomplished.
As discussed earlier, your vision and passion are linked.
To have a clear indication of where to set your vision,
look deep down within you to find the things you are
passionate about. Let me use some scriptural examples to
make this clear. Moses was born in a time when male
Israelite babies were to be killed so that they wouldn’t
grow to form an army against their slave masters, the
Egyptians. Fortunately for him, he was adopted by the
daughter of Pharaoh and grew up in the palace. What the
other Israelites went through didn’t affect him, he was in
fact their master and commander. He had everything he
could desire or need but there was this strong passion
inside him that set his vision. He couldn’t withstand
seeing the Egyptians maltreat the Israelites. Though he
had lived his first forty years as an Egyptian, he still had
Visions Walking with a destination
136
the passion inside him to set the Israelites free. He hadn’t
at the point seen God nor worshiped him because he was
“an Egyptian” and worshiped Egyptian gods. God hadn’t
given him the mandate yet but he could still feel his
mission through his passion. He wanted to join the
Israelites together by reason of his position and
strategically help them to break free from the oppression
of the Egyptians but they didn’t see that. He killed an
Egyptian soldier oppressing an Israelite but because the
Israelites didn’t show support for him and unity amongst
themselves, he feared he could be exposed and had to flee
to Midian where he worked and served as a hired
labourer. This was Moses, the one who lived in the palace
and had all he could desire, becoming a servant because
of his vision. He knew exactly what he wanted to do and
wasn’t at any point deceived by the life he lived in the
palace. He preferred to live and fulfill his vision than have
all he wanted and then die without accomplishing his
mission here on earth. It was during his time at Midian,
forty years later that the Lord officially told him to go and
rescue Israel from Egypt. God had already planned that
Moses should set Israel free from Egypt but Moses had no
idea of it. Although he had no idea of it, he looked deep
inside himself and found out that he hated to see the
Visions Walking with a destination
137
Israelites being oppressed and started to find ways of
setting them free. Take a lesson from Moses and Set your
vision according to your passion.
Likewise, the apostle Paul, who was before called Saul
persecuted the early church. His aim wasn’t to destroy the
work of God but to protect it. He hated to see people
creeping in and introducing new doctrines and principles
which weren’t in alignment with the Word of God, which
was the Law. He had a great zeal for the things of God.
Philippians 3:6-7

the church; touching the

Christ
It was this zeal that caused him to persecute the early
church because he had followed hard after the things of
God and had become a scholar of the law. He was so
Visions Walking with a destination
138
intelligent that around age thirty he was accepted into the
Sanhedrin, which was comprised of people with many
years of learning and followed the God of Abraham. He
knew that his mission was linked to his passion which
was the zeal he had against people with unaccepted
doctrines and blaspheming the Law of the Lord. He was
convinced that this was his assignment so he began doing
it. He persecuted them in all directions that most of them
fled Jerusalem for the fear of him. Even after that, he
pursued, arrested and killed them. It was on one of these
pursuits that the Lord Jesus met him and asked Saul “why
persecutest thou me?” Saul was surprised to hear that
because all the while he thought he was on the right path
not knowing that he had missed it. It is interesting to
realize that the first moment Jesus spoke to him, he
responded calling Him Lord. He knew that that was God
but didn’t know he was working against Him. God had to
tell him to change direction with the same zeal and do the
same work. Paul therefore calls himself the “defender of
the Gospel”. He wouldn’t permit anyone to alter the Word
of God or forsake the power therein. His zeal, which was
his passion, directed him to his mission.
Compassion is found within passion. This chapter
wouldn’t be complete without drawing your attention to
Visions Walking with a destination
139
the role your compassion has to play in moving you
towards your mission. Compassion can be defined as a
feeling of wanting to help or having sympathy for
somebody or something. When we look carefully through
scriptures, we realize that in almost all the great miracles
Jesus did, He was first moved by His compassion. Let me
give you a few examples before we continue:
Matthew 14:14
You hold the solution
And Jesus went forth, and to situations on which
saw a great multitude, and you have compassion.
was moved with compassion
toward them, and he healed
their sick
Matthew 15:32
Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I
have compassion on the multitude, because they
continue with me now three days, and have nothing to
eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint
in the way.
Visions Walking with a destination
140
Matthew 20:34
So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their
eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they
followed him.
You should realize that you hold the solution to the things
you have compassion for. We all have things we have
compassion for and would want to help. We don’t share
the same compassion because we have different missions
and visions. It is wrong to ignore the things you are
compassionate about because we either have or are the
answer to that situation. Whenever Jesus had compassion
on anybody or a group of persons, it indicated that He saw
Himself at a superior position, having the ability to help,
therefore He helped.
We most often than not complain about the problems we
see, thinking it is someone else’s responsibility to fix
them, we then cross our hands and do nothing. There are
certain problems you may think are general but seriously
speaking, you are the only one seeing them that way.
Understand that you see the problems you have the
solutions to. There are many problems around you but
Visions Walking with a destination
141
you don’t see them because you don’t have the solutions
to them.
In the book of Second Kings, we read of the woman who
comes to Elisha after her husband who also was a prophet
had died. He left behind debt for which his creditor
wanted to take his two sons to settle it. This was a big
problem she was facing but the prophet, wanting to make
her realize that she had the solution, asked her what she
had inside her house. He didn’t do any other thing than
working on what the woman already had in her house.
She may have never thought of the solution being internal
but the prophet opened her eyes to see the solution and
her captivity ended. You have the solutions to your
problems.
2 Kings 4:1-7
Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the
sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my
husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did
fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him
my two sons to be bondmen.
And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell
me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine
Visions Walking with a destination

handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of
oil.
Then he said, Go, borrow you vessels abroad of all your
neighbors, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
And when you are come in, you shall shut the door on
you and on your sons, and shall pour out into all those
vessels, and you shall set aside that which is full.
So she went from him, and shut the door on her and on
her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured
out.
And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she
said to her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said to
her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
Then she came and told the man of God. And he said,
Go, sell the oil, and pay your debt, and live you and your
children of the rest
All the inventions we see around us today are because
somebody recognised the problem. Alexander Graham
Bell saw a problem no one was seeing. His challenge was
the difficulty he had in communicating with people far
away from him. Not everybody saw this problem because
many had understood and accepted it as impossible so it
Visions Walking with a destination

wasn’t anything of worry to anybody but him. For this
reason, he realized that, since he was the only one seeing
that problem, he should have the solution for which
reason he invented the telephone. Thomas Edison also
had a problem in working in the night when the sun had
gone to rest. To everybody, it was normal to have the sun
in the day and darkness in the night but to Thomas it
wasn’t. He saw the need to make a source of light to take
over when the sun set. He was moved by this problem and
worked on several experiments

was the only one seeing the

In every situation, no matter how terrible it may seem,
there is a positive or advantageous part inside it that only
possibility thinkers can see. We should at all times take
calculated risk because it is riskier not to take risks.

1 Samuel 17:24-26
And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled
from him, and were sore afraid.
And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that
is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it
shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will
enrich him with great riches, and will give him his
daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel.
And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying,
What shall be done to the man that killeth this
Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel?
for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should
defy the armies of the living God?
David was sent by his father to go to the war camp and
find out how his brothers were doing. His mission was
simple, he was to find out how they were holding up at
the camp, give them some delicacies from home and
return. Goliath was a giant with military training.
Whenever he came out and shouted at the Israelites, they
all got scared and moved back. As part of his usual
routine, Goliath came out and amazingly this time it
coincided with David’s visit. David couldn’t understand
why no one had decided to fight him but allowed him to
Visions Walking with a destination
145
blaspheme against the Most Holy God of Israel. He
therefore asked what would be the reward for the one who
kills Goliath. He was told that he would get the chance to
marry the king’s daughter and have great riches.
Remember that David had been in the palace before and
knew how things in the palace were conducted. He had
also seen the king’s daughters and knew how beautiful
they were. To him, it was killing two birds with one
stone; silencing the blasphemer of his God and getting an
amazing reward. So while everybody saw how huge
Goliath was, David saw the advantage in that. When
everyone was thinking that Goliath was too big to be
defeated, David was thinking that he was so big that he
wouldn’t miss him with his stones. The only part of
Goliath’s body without protection was his face so that
was where David fixed his attention and wasn’t thinking
about any other part of his body, just that small part. This
is how possibility thinkers see situations. They don’t
focus on what everyone else is seeing, their attention is on
the little details that no one pays attention to. David with
this mindset approached Goliath, victory was won for the
Israelites in the end and they enjoyed in the might of his
conquest.

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
The Mission and the Side
Mission
I n every mission, there is a side mission that many
don’t see. Let me create a scenario for you to
understand the relation between a mission and a side
mission. Take a group of soldiers deployed to be peace
keepers in another country. As they are going, there is a
side mission given them
which isn’t made known to
We often miss the side

mission because we
some special people, maybe focus so much on the

investigate the military
weakness of that country, to
arrest a notorious criminal, to find deep secrets and
transmit it to their country. On this mission, all the
soldiers go in and focus on peacekeeping but there is a
side mission known by a small group. The mission is very
Visions Walking with a destination
149
important but the side mission, most of the time, is of
greater importance than the mission in question is.
We often miss the side mission because we focus so much
on the main mission that we don’t see it. It’s also because
the side mission is more difficult to see and undertake.
God had rejected Saul as king and had anointed David in
his stead but David wasn’t ready to be king because he
was still in preparation. Saul still was king of Israel and
David walked about doing his normal business.
We read from the Bible that an evil spirit was sent to
torment Saul and they realized that worship could send
the spirit away so they sought for a worshiper and David
was suggested. He was sought for and brought into the
palace to worship whenever the evil spirit attacked Saul.
He was therefore in direct contact with the king and his
affairs more than most of the workers inside the palace.
His mission there was to worship in order to free the king
of his spiritual attacks but he had a side mission, which
was learning how to rule a nation. He had the chance to
see the successes and failures of Saul so that he could
become a better king. He saw the errors Saul committed
and once he knew what wouldn’t work, he knew what
would. He ruled wisely when his time came because he
Visions Walking with a destination
150
understood his side mission in
the palace. He therefore learnt Don’t be too
all he had to learn in order to comfortable and blind
become a good king. God will wherever you are such
always put your side mission that you don’t see your
hidden inside your mission side mission
but only those willing to
discover it, take advantage,
search for it and execute it.
We all remember the story of Moses. He was born at a
time when male Israelite children were killed but God by
his infinite wisdom orchestrated that he be brought up in
the palace. His upbringing there prepared him for the
work he was later given by God. Inside the palace, he was
taught to be a warrior, and the Bible also tells us that he
was taught the wisdom of the Egyptians such that he
became great and mighty in words. He saw all he needed
to see in the palace and knew just the right channels to get
God’s people out of the land of Egypt. He was taken into
the palace to be Pharaoh’s daughter’s son as a mission but
he recognized his side mission and was up for the task.
Another example I would want you to look at is the story
of Esther, who later became the queen to king Ahasuerus.
She was a Jew but hid her identity so that she could
Visions Walking with a destination
151
compete for the much coveted queen’s position. The
Bible makes us understand that she had great favour that
she finally became the queen. Now the interesting thing is
this, she thought she had made it in life by reaching that
position, she could have all she desired and prestige
before men but that was just the mission. The side
mission was hidden inside the mission. After enjoying her
being queen for a season, Haman rose up against the
Jews, her people and planned to exterminate them all
from the land because they were becoming powerful and
served not the Babylonian gods. Initially, Esther didn’t
care much about that because she thought she could
escape by her position as queen of the land. Her uncle
Mordecai, who raised her and was like a wisdom store to
her, came to her and told her not to feel too comfortable
in the palace thinking she was safe because she too was a
Jew. This was pathetic because she was just thinking of
her mission in the palace as the queen but she hadn’t yet
thought of what her side mission might be. Mordecai
drew her attention to her side mission telling her maybe
she was made queen for a time like this. We all remember
Esther not for anything she did during her reign as queen
but her saving the Jews from perishing. If not for this
deed, her name would never have appeared in any history
Visions Walking with a destination
152
book but it was her side mission that wrote her name even
in the Bible.
Esther 4:13-14
Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think
not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's
house, more than all the Jews.
For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time,
then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to
the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's
house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether
thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
You are where you find yourself now because of your
mission but you also have a side mission which you can’t
afford to miss. Always have the “for a time like this”
mentality and do not recoil when circumstances appear
and be in hiding, be bold and face the circumstances
squarely having in mind that you might be there to be the
answer to that particular situation.
You have equipment that enables you to recognize and
undertake your side mission.
Visions Walking with a destination

God has placed something inside of you and irrespective
of how small or irrelevant that
thing may seem, He creates a
desire and a need for it. I Embrace new

need for it. The Bible says a
man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before
great men.
Proverbs 18:16
A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him
before great men.
This is what happened with Joseph, God had placed inside
him the gift of dreams and their interpretations. God had
to make certain people have dreams around Joseph so that
in helping solve their puzzle, he would rise to the top.
Joseph could have desired or asked for any other gift but
he grew what he had and became good at it. It may be
small or something many despise but God can cause a

series of events to happen all in relation to the gift that
you possess and make you famous.
In the restaurant, you order the main course but it comes
with its accompaniment. Know that you are on a mission
but also have a side mission to accomplish. Widen your
scope and think beyond the box. There is more to it than
you were probably told or have heard of. Launch into the
deep and decide to place your life at the service of
humanity, unleash yourself and become the best God
created you to be. Don’t look too far, your side mission is
just around you so take time, be open minded, find it out
and perfectly execute it.

CHAPTER NINETEEN
Having a Good Impression of
Yourself
1 Corinthians 12:14-23
For the body is not one member, but many.
If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am
not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am
not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing?
If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
But now hath God set the members every one of them in
the body, as it hath pleased him.
And if they were all one member, where were the body?
But now are they many members, yet but one body.
And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of
thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of
you.
Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem
to be more feeble, are necessary:
Visions Walking with a destination
157
And those members of the body, which we think to be
less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant
honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant
comeliness.
All that you do is because of how you see yourself. If you
take a good look at your body, you will realize that every
single part of it is important and of great need. Some parts
are indispensable for life whereas others aren’t but they
are still significant and needed. There are many talents
and gifts hidden inside many people that we would never
see because they judge themselves unqualified and
inadequate to carry out particular tasks. It isn’t a matter of
self-exaltation, it’s a question of arising to occupy your
place.
Without having a good impression of yourself, you cannot
take any bold steps and venture into new areas. You will
always want to follow the steps of others but never
willing to lead so that others would follow your steps. The
Israelites in their journey to the Promised Land had this
issue. They sent spies into the land they were going to
receive as an inheritance and when they came back, they
had two different reports. Joshua and Caleb reported that
Visions Walking with a destination
158
they were well able to move ahead and possess the land
while the remaining ten reported that they couldn’t take
the land because they didn’t have the resources to
overpower the inhabitants of the land. They saw the
inhabitants as great and powerful, they even added that
they saw themselves as grasshoppers before their eyes.
They were spies and went hiding so that no one would see
them but they said the men of the land saw them as
grasshoppers. The interesting thing is this, the men of the
land didn’t tell them they looked like grasshoppers, they
just assumed that they were like grasshoppers before them
and therefore advised the whole congregation of the
children of Israel to desist from advancing because they
would be driving themselves to their death.
Numbers 13:33
And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which
come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as
grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
They had to change their perception of themselves before
they could move on and conquer those living in the land.
Visions Walking with a destination
159
See yourself as able, adequate, ready, and prepared. Do
not be comfortable taking the backseat, step up and be
you. You count so you need to
see yourself as such.
Understand that you matter and See yourself as able,
that the world wouldn’t be adequate, ready, and
prepared
complete without you.
Throughout the sojourning of
the Israelites in the wilderness,
God never wanted them to have a census. To them, a
census was necessary so that they could know how many
able men they had in the military in other to foresee
which armies they could handle and which ones they
couldn’t. They wanted to carefully select their battles but
God wanted them to see something different. He didn’t
want them to focus on their deficiencies but He wanted
them to focus on His efficiency. Whenever anyone
becomes born again, he is born again spiritually and thus
a new creation. His abilities and capabilities aren’t of him
anymore but of the Spirit of God that now dwells in him.
Though he has the same body, the same clothing, eats the
same food and has the same friends he’s always had, he is
now a new man.
Visions Walking with a destination
160
2 Corinthians 3:5
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any
thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God
Your abilities are therefore dependent on the Spirit of
God resident in you. To look down upon yourself is
looking down on the Spirit of God who lives inside you.
Always have a good impression of yourself and see
yourself as the best. See yourself as irreplaceable. This
attitude would drive a wedge between you and people
with mediocre minds. This is what made Joseph special.
After having those two dreams that pointed him to
greatness, he refused to be talked out of it. He had his
mind set on greatness that no amount of words nor
persuasion could force him to give up that perception of
himself. He saw himself as able, adequate, special and
irreplaceable. He knew no one
could take his place. He was so To look down upon
convinced of this that he never yourself is looking
stopped saying it. He drew down on the Spirit of
inspiration from the coat of God who lives inside
many colors his father gave you
him.
Visions Walking with a destination
161
That coat was special and cost his father a lot of money.
His brothers didn’t get it during their time but during
Joseph’s time, his father presented it to him. He had very
high self-esteem and wouldn’t let anyone define who he
was. He knew who he was and wouldn’t settle for less.
It isn’t a competition to find out who is the best. It’s about
you being your best. Everybody today is trying to be the
best but instead of striving to be the best, we should all
focus on being our best. If after putting in your best, you
become the best, so be it but the essential part shouldn’t
be about striving to be crowned the best. The greatest
competition you have isn’t between you and another
person. It’s between you and
yourself.
Until you know who
Until you know who you are, you are, you will accept
you will accept any identity any identity you are
you are given by another given
person. The devil’s test is
always a test of identity. He
tests you to find out if you really know who you are. The
very moment he realizes that you have no idea of your
status, he gives you an identity which is the one he has
created for you so that he can manipulate and rule your
life by your accepting his thought about you. This is the
Visions Walking with a destination
162
reason why we should get to know ourselves well and in
detail. This gives us the advantage of recognizing our
weaknesses and working on them. It also gives us the
advantage of recognizing our strengths and improving
upon them. You know yourself better than anyone else
does. It therefore behooves upon you to take a conscious
effort to study, know and appreciate yourself just the way
you are in order to have a good perception about yourself
before the devil comes. When the devil appeared to Jesus,
he came to ask Him about His identity. He also asked
Adam and Eve the same question. They failed because
they didn’t fully know who they were. Jesus knew who
He was and answered the questions boldly. Take time to
look deep inside you, where all your strength is and be
sure of who you are and once you find it, accept no other
definition from anyone.

CHAPTER TWENTY
Writing the Vision
J esus Christ told His disciples the parable of the sower
in which He described the situations of various seeds.
The seeds that fell by the wayside were picked up and
eaten by birds because they were exposed. These seeds
had all the necessary conditions needed to have survived
and produced abundantly. The only issue with these seeds
was that, birds picked and ate them. (Mathew 13: 18-19)
There are many people with great visions but the constant
interference of the things of this world sometimes drift
their minds from their vision making them think like
people with mediocre minds. Just as the seeds that fell by
the wayside, there is the need for replanting if success
indeed is sought after. Comparatively, replanting the
stolen seeds in terms of visions is having a vision board.
Habakkuk 2:2
And the LORD answered me, and said, write the vision,
Visions Walking with a destination
165
and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that
readeth it.
God has always used the principle of writing down the
vision to remind His people of where He picked them
from and where He is taking them. In this last chapter, I
want to discuss two kinds of boards with you, which are
the Vision board and the Gratitude board.
Testimonies of people who have reached greater heights
by focusing on vision boards are numerous and
undeniable. It is a principle that works for which reason
you should design your own vision board immediately
after reading this chapter.
Before you design your vision board, you should clearly
know what you want and where your vision is inclined
towards. The Bible says people who ask amiss receive
nothing.
James 4:3
You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that
you may consume it on your lusts
Visions Walking with a destination
166
The vision board is aimed at helping the mind focus its
energy on something particular. It should also not be done
amiss but we should be specific in our ordering. What you
put on your vision board should be something attainable
and acceptable by you. It shouldn’t be a matter of filling
space and decorating a board to beautify your room but it
should clearly contain what you want to attain.
The board has no specific format it should follow for
which reason you shouldn’t fear failing or getting it
wrong. Your board may include pictures of people in
positions you aspire to reach. Take for example a
footballer who wants to reach the highest level, he can
place on his vision board the picture of the world’s best
player to remind him of where he is going. It may include
places you would love to be or
possessions you would want to
have. If you see a building you You should clearly
like and would want to have a know what you want.
similar one, the picture of that Do not ask amiss
building can go on your board.
Anything that connects to you,
inspires you, should be on your
vision board if you would want to attain them one day.
Visions Walking with a destination
167
The vision board isn’t done once in a lifetime. It suffers
constant modifications with age and with achievements.
The vision board may include short and long term dreams.
As you grow, your needs change and certain things on
your vision board manifest in the physical for which these
articles should be removed from the vision board and
transferred to your gratitude board.
The gratitude board is similar to the vision board but
unlike the vision board with goals yet to be seen in the
physical, it contains the things
already attained but we still
keep to remind us of the We give thanks to God
goodness of God. We give and show gratitude for
thanks to God and show His goodness
gratitude for His goodness.
Things we need daily or
frequently should go onto the gratitude board. Statements
concerning your health, family, and many other similar
ones go on the gratitude board because though we have
good health or a functioning family today, we still need
that tomorrow for which reason; we cannot keep our eyes
off them. Giving thanks to God is very important because
as you show appreciation for the things on your gratitude
board, you attract more of such things towards you.
Visions Walking with a destination
168
A way you can design a great vision board is by trying to
link it up with feeling. Do not just make a vision board
and fill it with items that wouldn’t make your life
accomplished. You should envision how you would feel
after having something you want to place on it. For
example, if I want to have joy expressed in my life, I
should ask myself what would bring me joy. I should also
ask myself if after getting all I have on the board I would
have the initial feeling of joy I
desired. Your board therefore,
shouldn’t be like mine, it Try linking up your
should be unique. vision board to a
feeling
Remember that there isn’t any
order in appearance or
manifestation of the things you
place on your vision board. The fact that you placed a car
before a house doesn’t mean the car would appear in your
life before the house. They may appear in that order but it
might not happen that way all the time. Learn to be
specific and design your board with as much details as
you can. Don’t just say you want a car. You can get a
broken down car beyond repair and it’s still a car. You
should instead mention the name of the car, the state of it,
Visions Walking with a destination
169
and the colour you desire along with every other detail
you want.
Many people place the qualities they seek in their spouse
on their vision board. This is amazing and exciting. You
can write out all the qualities you want to see in your
spouse and place it on your board too if you don’t have
one yet.
The vision board should be The vision board
placed where you can should be placed
frequently see it. You should where you can
not design a beautiful vision frequently see it
board and keep it in hiding,
thinking you are keeping it
safe. You can have more than one vision board maybe a
central one and many other smaller ones distributed all
around so that wherever you find yourself in the house,
you fix your eyes on something.
Technological advancement has even brought us varied
options. We are now glued to our computers and phones
more than we are to our shirts. You can design an
electronic vision board on your devices or use some other
vision board applications made to suit your gadgets. In
order not to forget of your board, you can make it part of
Visions Walking with a destination
170
your daily routine, for example, you can place it where
you brush your teeth each morning. Since you will always
brush your teeth before leaving the house, you will get a
chance each morning to set your eyes on your board. You
can have it on the wall directly facing your door so that it
becomes the first thing you see when you get home. If
you easily forget and are using an electronic board, add an
alarm or a reminder to remind you to take time off and
look at your boards. I have various vision boards but I use
my computer also; it’s like my best friend now. I use the
sticky notes on my computer. It’s always on my desktop
so I see it whenever I boot my PC. It’s amazing how it has
worked for me. I don’t always have a lot of things on my
PC, maybe one or two and as they appear in my life, I
take them off and write new ones.
The board works both with the conscious and the
subconscious mind so even when you think you haven’t
focused so much on it, it is still your board and your
subconscious is always processing it.
Exodus 17:14
And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a
memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of
Visions Walking with a destination

Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of
Amalek from under heaven.
After the defeat of Amalek, the Lord asked Moses to
write it down as a memorial and rehearse it in the ears of
young Joshua who was going to succeed him and
continue the works he had begun. God wanted Joshua, to
fix his eyes on the success of Israel and in so doing,
acquire more successes. He made them gather enough
materials to create something like a national vision and
gratitude board. He made them pick some of the manna
they ate in the wilderness, stones from the river Jordan
and many others. God also asked them to place the word
of His blessing all over their surroundings so that they
would constantly see the goodness of the Lord.
Deuteronomy 11:20
And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine
house, and upon thy gates
Visions Walking with a destination
172
Israel even made wrist bands, head scarfs and many other
things and placed the word of the blessing on it so that
they could constantly set their eyes on it.
You should be very careful with your use of grammar and
your selection of words in the quotes you place on your
vision board. Use quotes that express what you want and
not what you don’t want. The quotes should make your
mind accept that you are
already there not that you are
now struggling or trying to Use phrases that
get there. Take for example express what you want

financial difficulty, you don’t
write things like: I am not
poor, I am not broke. You
should also not write things expressing the process but the
final state. I will not recommend quotes that are in the
future tense like: I will be rich, I am overcoming my
financial difficulty. They will always express optimism of
the future but never accepting your having the things you
claim now.

It’s just like someone trying to be good by stopping to do
bad things. Your stopping to do bad things doesn’t mean
you are a good person now. Instead of struggling to stop
the bad things you do, start doing good, fix your mind on
the good and the bad will disappear from your life. Write
things like:
Good things always happen to me (this is a
continuous statement and
applies to today, Whenever you say “I
tomorrow and forever), am” don’t add any

I am loved add positive words
I am so blessed
I am capable
I am special
The world needs me
I am more than a conqueror
I can overcome every situation
Everything I touch is blessed
Everything I do prospers.
Did you realize that all these quotes are in the present
tense and some are in the present continuous because the
Visions Walking with a destination
175
God we worship is “I AM” not I was or I will be. When
He introduced Himself to most of His people, He
introduced Himself as He who is, was and is to come. He
places emphasis on His current status and not what He has
done before or will do tomorrow.
There shouldn’t be room for comparison in making a
vision board. Statements like: I want a car more beautiful
than my dad’s, I will be richer than my brother and many
other similar ones should be avoided. Once you introduce
comparison, you have limited your success to only a level
above the other person and hinder your ability to stretch
your potential.
Creating a vision board shouldn’t be difficult or tiring.
Make it such that you would love to always look at it.
You can write the quotes with your handwriting which
makes it more connected to you and appeal to your mind
more. Try designing a simple one right now with the
blank pages that comes after the model after the
conclusion.

Conclusion
T he creation of man was God’s special project.
Unlike any other creature, man was made to
function in the God-class. He was not only made to look
like God but carries to a certain limit the qualities of God.
You do not have to spend even a minute complaining
about something wrong with you because God planned
everything that constitutes you. All that you have is just
perfect for the fulfillment of your purpose here on earth.
It all begins by you appreciating that there is more to what
you see with your physical eye and that there is a spiritual
storehouse of goods at your disposal. Your knowledge of
this truth helps you to drag things from this source into
the physical. The things you decide to pull from your
storehouse can be something that has never been seen by
any man, making you the discoverer. Therefore, nothing
is new under the sun because God is the creator of all
things. Man only discovers.
The mind is a very powerful tool which we can operate to
make our lives better. On the other hand, with the same
mind, we can destroy our lives all based on the kind of
Visions Walking with a destination
179
information we feed it with. The apostle Paul therefore
advises us in his letter to the Philippian church on the
things we should fix our minds on knowing that what the
heart can conceive would be perceived by the eye.
Life isn’t meant to be a trial run. Where you are going is
guided by your vision. You don’t take a step unless you
see where you are placing your feet. To progress in life,
there is the need for you to open your mind’s eye, see into
the imaginary world the things you desire and consciously
call all that you desire towards you. Nothing will happen
by chance or coincidence. Your life today has been
shaped by what you thought of yesterday. This also
indirectly means that what you think of today would
shape your life tomorrow.
God gave man free will and trusts him to make the best
choices for himself. He will therefore not interfere in the
affairs of man unless He is invited. We have a duty of
election which is to choose what happens to us each day
of our lives. Our refusal to choose basically means we
accept whatever that comes our way making us victims of
circumstances which shouldn’t be the case.
The things you see by your imagination can be perceived
by your eyes when your heart has fully conceived it. This
Visions Walking with a destination
180
is achieved by meditation. This therefore makes
meditation an act that cannot be overlooked or sidelined.
It is focusing your thought on a particular thing for a
while until your being accepts it as real, making it form
part of your reality.
There is a force that follows the spoken word. When you
speak the Word, you are acting in the God-class into
which you were made. You shouldn’t use negative words
after “I AM” because apart from it meaning possession
directly linked to you, it is the name of the All Creating
God. “I am”, which is in the present means you already
possess all the things you confess. It is just like you
saying you have what you seek already. You may not
have seen it physically but once you get convinced in
your mind of possessing it, it is imminent that you start
living and acting like you have what you have ordered
already. Whatever you want to become, see yourself there
and start living life as if you are there already.
If you understand that nothing like coincidence exists,
then you would not have an issue understanding that there
is a mission for you wherever you may find yourself now.
With every mission comes a side mission that looks
smaller but may be all the more important. Do not be
distracted by the mission and forget of the existence of a
Visions Walking with a destination
181
side mission. Look diligently for it and accomplish it
because it is possible that this side mission would be what
will write your name in the minds of the future
generation.
When you have invested time to know who you are, your
passion and what you like, do not let anything weigh you
down or discourage you. Press on until you get what you
envision. Your vision should be carved by your strength.
Put in your all, be it financially, physical strength or
whatever it may take from you to achieve your dreams.
Never be afraid of failure because the fear of failure is a
character we find in people with myopic thinking. Myopic
thinkers are the way they are because they haven’t come
to really understand that they carry something special that
the world needs.
The impression you have about yourself is paramount
because that is what will design the status you are given
in society and how everyone else will see you. You carry
something no one else amongst the world’s population
has. If you decide not to display it, the world might never
see it. The world needs you and it needs me too. When we
