5.2 Outrigger
Outrigger control box is located on the left/right side beam of chassis frame behind the front
outrigger boxes. It is convenient and reliable to make outriggers telescope synchronously or
independently by outrigger control box.
The outrigger’s telescoping is shown as following:

WARNING: Extend the outriggers on a flat and rigid ground before lifting. If the
ground is soft or not flat, fill up the crosstie under the outrigger plate so as to make
the crane steady.

11)Accelerator switch
Push up this switch, chassis’s engine speed will speed up to
1500 r/m;
Push down this switch, chassis’s engine speed will return to
idle speed.
5.2.2 Extend the Outrigger
1)Pull out the inserting pin of outrigger beam.
2)Open the outrigger control box by the key, and operate on the outrigger control box penal.

3)Push up accelerator switch, chassis’ engine speed will speed up to 1500r/m
4)Push front right, rear right, front left and rear left horizontal cylinders telescoping switch to
“extending” (up) position. Once the corresponding horizontal cylinders are full extended, release
the switch, it can return to neutral position automatically.
5)Push front right, rear right, front left and rear left vertical cylinders telescoping switch to
“extending” (down) position, the corresponding vertical cylinders will extend downwards to uplift
the complete vehicle. After the vertical cylinders extend to limit position, release the switch, it can
return to neutral position automatically.

6)After vertical cylinders extended completely, check whether the frame plane is level by the
level gauge. If it is not, adjust it according to the following method.
For example:The right side of the crane is higher.
Push front right vertical cylinder telescoping switch and rear right vertical cylinder
telescoping switch to “retract” position. Observe the level gauge carefully at the same time.
Once the crane is leveled, release the switch at once, and then it will return to neutral position.
7)When the lifting performance in front area is the same as that in side & rear area, the 5th
outrigger should be used. Push down the 5th outrigger telescoping switch to “extending”
(down) position. After the 5th outrigger extended completely, release the switch, and then it
will return to neutral position automatically.

5.2.3 Retract the Outrigger
WARNING: Only when the boom is placed on the boom bracket after operation,
can the outriggers be retracted. Moreover, the 5th outrigger should be retracted
firstly.
1) Push the 5th outrigger telescoping switch to “retracting” (up) position. After the 5th
outrigger retracted completely, release the switch, and then it will return to neutral position.
2)Retract the four vertical cylinders: Push the front right, rear right, front left and rear left
vertical cylinders telescoping switch to “retracting” (up) position, when the corresponding
vertical cylinders retracted completely, release the switch, and then it will return to neutral
position automatically.

3)After all the vertical cylinders retracted, push the front right, rear right, front left and rear
left horizontal cylinders telescoping switch to “retracting”(down) position. When
corresponding horizontal cylinders retracted, release the switch, and then it will return to
neutral position automatically.
4)After all the horizontal cylinders retracted, insert the inserting pin of movable outriggers.
5.2.4 Install the outrigger plate
1)Outrigger plates, which are hung on outrigger cylinder and fixing pin, are fixed by locking
pin in traveling.

3)The installation process of rear outrigger plates is the same as that of front outrigger plates. Pay
attention to the position of fixing pin.

4)Deposit the outrigger plate in the reverse order.
CAUTION: Only after outrigger cylinders retracted completely, can the
above-mentioned operation carry out.

CAUTION:
a. When outriggers extended/retracted,ensure there’s enough space around to
avoid injuring the personnel or damaging the crane and the other articles.
b. Must install the outrigger plate before operating the outriggers.
c. It is forbidden to extend vertical cylinders before all the outrigger horizontal
cylinders extended completely. Do not operate the outrigger horizontal cylinder
until the outrigger plate is totally away from the ground.
d. Ensure that all the outrigger plates contact with the ground except the outrigger
plate of the 5th outrigger.
e. The 5th outrigger can only extend to position by 1to 5mm above the ground. It is
not permitted that two front outriggers are loose due to excessive extending of the
5th outrigger.
f. Ensure that all tires are lifted away from the ground before lifting.
g. Prohibit operating outrigger switches during lifting.
h. Check whether the level gauge is in accordance with the plane of the chassis. If
it is not, adjust the nut below the level gauge to level it.
