Preparing a New Deck of Cards Before you begin using these cards, it’s important to prepare them for a reading. Make sure that you touch each card. Then, fan the cards and hold them close to your heart. Every time a person touches your cards, their ener- ay becomes imprinted on them. So, the other person's, energy could affece furure readings. If you give card read- ings to others, you may either ask chem co draw their own cards, or you can draw cards for them. The reading’s results will be che same either way. However, if other peo- pile do touch your card deck, it’s important to “clear” the deck between readings. ‘You can do this clearing by burning some sage, and running the card deck through the smoke for four passes. r, you can place a clear quartz crystal stone on top of the deck, and hold che intention tha the crysal will draw out lower energies from the deck. Another method is simply to hold the deck, and ask the angels to clear the cards of any fear-based energy. Angel Card Readings ‘An angel card reading means that you ask the angels 1 question, hold that question in mind while shuffling che cards, and then lay out cards as you feel guided. You can ask about any life area, ask about another person, or even, ask a question on behalf of another person (ehae is, “What does Debbie need to know to make this situation success- fal?"). Or, you can simply ask the angels, “What do you ‘want me to know?" 9 OeYou cannot make a mistake or choose the “wrong” cards during a reading, as che angels are supervising the process, and their power prevents an incorrect reading. ‘You can choose your cards from the top of the deck, or you ‘can cut the dec in the middle and take the cards that are ‘on the bottom of those ewo halves.
