The iPhone 8 review summarizes that while it was not the top iPhone when released, it remains a robust choice due to its functionality, speed, and lower cost compared to newer models like the iPhone X. It enjoys continued software support from iOS 13. The Pixel 4 review highlights its best-in-class camera and compact design but notes upgrades are otherwise minimal. The Galaxy S10 review states it remains a powerful and attractive phone despite its successor, and offers competitive specs and cameras against 2020 phones, especially with discounts.

Iphone 8 Review: Apple's iPhone 8 wasn't even the top-of-the-line iOS phone when it came out,

but it's still a robust choice for functionality and speed, with a traditional home button packing
an easy-to-use Touch ID fingerprint sensor to boot. In short, it's as powerful as the iPhone X at a
notably lower cost - which is still impressive years after both phones have come out.
If you're scouring for the best iPhone right now, consider Apple's newest range, the iPhone
11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. They're two years newer than the iPhone 8, but a
fair bit pricier to match. Thankfully, when Apple introduced its 2019 line of flagships, the
company cut the price for the iPhone 8.
When Apple announces new iPhones, it typically drops a few aging devices, but the iPhone 8 has
manage to survive unscathed, and enjoys the new features in iOS 13 to boot. Apple now
considers it the 'budget' entry to the iPhone series for people who want Apple's tech without
paying for a high-end phone. That means it's still easy to pick up this smartphone from a variety
of places at half (or more) off the price tag of the latest iPhone.

Pixel 4 Review: The Pixel 4 is Google’s latest attempt (alongside the Google Pixel 4 XL) at
making a phone that shows off the very best of Android and offers up a cocktail of flagship
photography features, including machine learning and other AI wizardry.

It’s undeniably one of the very best camera phones you can buy right now, taking on that mantle
from Google Pixel 3, but the upgrades are minimal elsewhere. Google hasn't tried to break the
mold with the Pixel 4, instead playing things safe with an incremental update.

It’s a compact device that offers a unique design you won’t see in other flagships. This
uniqueness comes from its appearance, the materials it uses, and the fact that it’s smaller than a
lot of other top-end devices, which can sometimes be a little on the large side for the average
user.

Google has boosted the screen with a 90Hz refresh rate that offers a smoother experience when
scrolling through social media or playing video games, and there’s plenty of power on tap, with
a recent chipset paired with 6GB of RAM.
Galaxy S10 review: The Samsung Galaxy S10 is engineered and designed to be a
conversation-changer, a phone that's crafted to turn everyone's yearly question of "Do I
really need to upgrade?" into a more exclamatory "I really need to upgrade!"

The S10 is remains a powerful and attractive phone even after its successor,
the Samsung Galaxy S20, has launched with 5G capability, improved cameras, and faster
speeds than ever. If you don't need the absolute latest and greatest, the year-old
flagship remains a top-tier device with specs and cameras that will still be competitive
against 2020's better phones. And, as a bonus, they've been discounted. There's also a
new budget king on the block: the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite has a massive 6.7-inch
screen with even more cameras than the S10e, plus a few upgrades. If you want to
save even more money, and don't mind a few compromises, this new budget flagship
might be worth your while.
