DATA COMPRESSION SYSTEM

SYNOPSIS

This project “FILE COMPRESSION” is basically dealt with as to

how the available file can be compressed and extracted. The basic concept

of Zip and Unzip are used for the fulfillment of the project and to display

the contents of a particular document or text after it is compressed and

extracted.

The storage space required for the storage of a particular document

or text is reduced to a very great extent at the time of compression .The

difference in compression is viewed clearly by the use of the DIR command

which displays the file space after it is been compressed or Zipped .

The project is designed with the utmost intention of reducing the

storage space in the memory of the system .The reduction of the storage

space is clearly depicted in the output of the project or when the project is

run and the output is displayed after the compression of a particular

document or text.
