Final Exam Study Guide (Exam #3)


100 points
Exam will be comprised of short answer and essay questions.

1. Financial Wellness:
a. Strategies to be financially well and to prepare for a strong financial future
b. Needs vs. wants

2. Understand how personality influences personal interactions in relation to:


a. A, B, and C personalities
b. Myers-Briggs personality types
c. The 16 personality types from the 16 personalities test

3. Understand Spiritual Wellness:


a. What it is and what it is not
b. Common ways to practice
c. Our own personal method/understanding

4. Understanding what adversity is:


a. Positive coping mechanisms
b. Negative coping mechanisms
c. How to overcome it
d. Know, and be able to describe, at least one mental skill (i.e. positive psychology
skill) you personally can use to overcome negative coping mechanisms/negative
thought patterns

5. Be sure that you have watched the following 3 TedTalk Videos from class:
a. The power of deliberate listening
b. Your body language may shape who you are
c. How childhood trauma affects health across a lifetime

6. Be prepared to utilize course concepts from all throughout the semester, including the
connections between Physical, Mental/Emotional, Intellectual, Spiritual, Financial,
Environmental and Interpersonal/Social Wellness.

7. You will be required to bring in your first assignment “What Does Wellness Mean to
You” so that you may us it for the exam.
• Print it off
• Bring it to class
• Turn it in WITH your exam (failure to do so will result in a loss of points)
• Any additional notes on assignment will result in automatic failure of exam
