Parameters
ID Name Description
Qhyst Hysteresis Meaning: Indicates the hysteresis for cell reselection when
value for RSRP values are used in the evaluation. This parameter must
ranking be set based on the slow fading characteristic of the area
criteria covered by the cell. The greater the slow fading variance is,
the larger the value of this parameter must be set to. A larger
value of the hysteresis results in a larger boundary of the
serving cell and a lower probability of cell reselection to
neighboring cells.

MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: DB4_Q_HYST(4dB)
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (Modifications on
this parameter would affect cell reselection of the UE in idle
mode.)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: With other parameters
related to cell reselection unchanged, a larger value of this
parameter leads to a lower probability of reselection to an
intra-frequency or same-priority neighboring cell. A smaller
value of this parameter leads to a higher probability, but a
larger number of ping-pong cell reselections.
Applicable Mode: L
TEvaluation The duration Meaning: Indicates the duration in which the mobility status of
for evaluating the UE is evaluated. This parameter is one of the key
criteria to parameters in deciding on the UE mobility. A smaller value of
enter mobility this parameter may lead to more frequent switching among
states mobility status and lower decision accuracy. A larger value of
this parameter leads to the opposite effect.

S60_T_EVALULATION(60s), S120_T_EVALULATION(120s),
S180_T_EVALULATION(180s),

Unit: s
Actual Value Range: S30_T_EVALULATION,
S60_T_EVALULATION, S120_T_EVALULATION,

MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: S60_T_EVALULATION(60s)
Parameter Relationship:
-Others:
This parameter is optional, depending on the setting of the
SpeedDepReselCfgInd parameter.
If the SpeedDepReselCfgInd parameter is set to CFG, this
parameter must be set.
If the SpeedDepReselCfgInd parameter is set to NOT_CFG,
this parameter does not need to be set.
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (Modifications on
this parameter would affect cell reselection of the UE in idle
mode.)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: A smaller value of this

high mobility or medium mobility state and a smaller impact of
the mobility status on cell reselections. A larger value of this
parameter leads to the opposite effects.
Applicable Mode: L
NCellChangeMedium The number Meaning: Indicates the threshold of the number of cell
of cell reselections, which is used for a UE to enter the medium
changes to mobility state. This parameter is one of the key parameters in
enter determining the mobility state of the UE. During the UE
medium mobility evaluation, if the number of cell reselections is greater
mobility state than this parameter value and is less than or equal to the
NCellChangeHigh parameter value, the UE enters the medium
mobility state.
GUI Value Range: 1~16
Unit: None
Actual Value Range: 1~16
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 4
Parameter Relationship:
-Configuration constraints:

NCellChangeHigh must be greater than NCellChangeMedium.
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (Modifications on
this parameter would affect cell reselection of the UE in idle
mode.)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: A larger value of this
parameter indicates a lower probability of a UE entering the

parameters are not adjusted and cell reselections are more
difficult to trigger. A smaller value of this parameter leads to
the opposite effect.
Applicable Mode: L
NCellChangeHigh The number Meaning: Indicates the threshold of the number of cell
of cell reselections, which is used for a UE to enter the high mobility

state.

Impact on Radio Network Performance: A larger value of this
parameter indicates a lower probability of a UE entering the
high mobility state. In this case, reselection-related
parameters are not adjusted and cell reselections are more
difficult to trigger. A smaller value of this parameter leads to
the opposite effect.

probability of cell reselection. A larger value leads to a smaller
impact.
