Read the passage below and answer questions 41 – 45
Once upon a time there was a boy who lived with his grandmother. The grandmother loved the boy so
much that she always kept warning him on unsafe act. Never climb trees; you will fall down and get
hurt, she said one day. Then she left for the garden which was several metres away. Knowing that his
grandmother will return soon, he hurredly prepared traps and climbed up the tree and set the traps,
soon after he got down the tree he could hear the birds’ noises getting louder and louder. The boy
climbed the tree again with great joy thinking perhaps one of the traps has caught a bird.
To the boy’s surprise, when he got closer to the trap he saw that the trap has caught a huge snake. With
great fear he got dawn the tree with such speed that he bruised his chest and blood cought out, he felt
great pain and shame.
When his grandmother came back from garden, she found the boy lying on his stomach. “What’s wrong
with you?”
It is not usual for you to lie on your stomach, especially during midday like this. The boy could only
look into his grand mother’s eyes and said tearfully , “grandmother, I am sorry I got hurt when I tried
to run after my ball” I understand. But I told you! Then she prepared their lunch but the boy ate little
the pain was still there.
