What was your interest and motivation for pursuing your field of education?
Chemical engineers work to improve the quality of people's lives. My motivation towards studying
chemical engineering was that it is quite modern and applicable in various areas. Most items used by
people every day are produced by chemical engineers. Chemical engineers are helping to end starvation,
disease, and poverty. They are working to save the environment by developing alternative technologies to
combat acid rain, lead pollution, and the greenhouse effect.
I was quite intrigued by various fields of chemical engineering such as fluid dynamics and heat transfer
operations.
What makes you choose HPCL for this job? ?
HPCL is one of the Navratna PSUs of India, and though a government company, it works as a private
enterprise with all the smartness and agility required for todays enterprises. There is a fair amount of
autonomy and space to take your own decisions and risks in HPCL, which is not very common in most
other PSUs. Informal, but Disciplined, Free, Frank and Fair, Managers - First among equals,
Commitment to Objectives are the commandments that every HPCL officer learns on the first day in the
office and which guide the way the officers conduct since then. A one-year-old officer in HPCL could be
independently commanding a workforce of about 100 people and handling projects worth about a crore,
a chance which no private company provides
What are your short term and long term career objectives?
In the short run, I aim to develop my overall personality by the end of my graduation and land into Indias
most valued oil and gas corporations.
Being a part of one of the most eminent institutions of our country I wish to contribute towards the
economic growth and development of my country. To achieve my vision, I want to pursue my career in a
corporation where I eventually reach a position where I have the command to innovate and improve the
quality of services for the people of our country.

 What are your strengths and weakness that you feel will influence work in the organization?
I am a proven leader with experience in building high performing teams, driving results, and lean
problem-solving. I have great work ethics and time management skills. I've been able to leverage my
strong communication, technical and analytical skills to achieve success in various endeavors of my life.
Some of my weaknesses include having trouble saying 'no' to any work or project. I get quite impatient
when projects run beyond their deadlines. I am self-critical of my work and sometimes feel that I haven't
performed up to the mark.
. If you have to describe yourself in 3 words, what would those words be?
I am cross functional, adaptive and quick learner.
At the end of our lives, we may want certain aspects of our work, achievement, character, disposition etc.
to stand out and be talked about in glowing terms. What would you want the salient features of your life
to read like.

. What is your biggest achievement till date? Why do you consider it to be your biggest achievement?
What are your extra-curricular activities, hobbies and other pursuits apart from academics? Please
mention any accolades if you have?
I was the Events management and organization head for Alcheringa'19 which is the annual cultural
extravaganza of IIT Guwahati. I have also conducted the Swatch Bharat Abhiyaan and Cloth Collection
Drive for Community Service under the National Service Scheme(NSS). I love to play football during my
free time to stay fit.
