Teachers' Guide to Multimedia Projects

The document discusses the similarities between lesson planning steps and the steps for developing a multimedia project, noting that both processes involve identifying learning objectives, planning learning activities, and assessing student understanding. It also provides examples of using different media types like role-playing and posters to illustrate the various services provided by an educational media center. The document concludes by listing different bands of experience from Dale's Cone of Experience that could be used to present the media center's services except for words or verbal symbols.

LESSON 16
(Using the Project – based Learning Multimedia as a Teaching – Learning Strategy)

Making the Connection:

Is it okay to say that the lesson planning that teachers do is basically the same with steps in
implementing a multimedia project given here? Make the comparison.

Based on the below step in making a lesson plan and multimedia project I’d rather say that they
both have similarities.

LESSON PLANNING STEPS STEPS IN MULTIMEDIA PROJECT

1. Go over the K to 12 constant performance standards
1. Identify the learning objectives. and competencies to determine objectives and content
that the multimedia project will address effectively.
2.Estimate how much time you need to spend compared
2. Plan the specific learning activities.
to how much time is available.
3. Make clear and explicit parameters and procedures

1. Both lesson plan and multimedia project begin with identifying the objective of the activity based
on the K to 12 curriculum (primary and secondary level) and syllabus (tertiary level -college).
2. After identifying its objectives, both have to plan specific activities that could be indulged by the
students.
3. Both have to understand ad assess in the procedures of the lesson or activity, always remember
the capabilities and abilities of your learner in making activity’ criteria.
4. Both need to plan activities that could not just only enhance their cognitive level but also their
affective and psychomotor domain.
5. Both needs to ensure the time bound of the activity and the availability of the needed resources.
6. Both ends with evaluation, wherein they will asses the students thru quiz, recitation and many
other assessment methods in enable to know if the learner does really understand the lesson or
activity.
