Answer:
Nick Vujicic, a man born without arms and legs turned to be one of the most inspirational
men there is today. He became a motivational speaker when he was 19. He built his non-
profit organization, “Life Without Limbs” that aims to fight bullying and inspire others. He has
given over thousands of speeches and written several books. He is one of the most in-
demand inspirational speaker today. At an age of 37, he sure has a lot of achievements. But
his life wasn’t always rainbows and sunshine. In fact, his life started like a stormy day. When
he was born, his parents were shocked to see him without limbs and it is said that his mother
didn’t hold him for 4 months. At school, he was often bullied for how he is and this made him
depressed and hopeless in life. And when he was ten years old, he attempted to take away
his life. This storm in his life continued until he had an encounter with their school janitor.
The janitor told him that he is going to be a speaker. The janitor saw something in him and
encourage him to share his story. His first speech has an audience of only six students, but it
made him realize that he wasn’t not alone and that he wasn’t the only one struggling. And
that started his will to help others to find meaning in their life.
“You can't always change your problems, but you can always change the way you see it.”
This is one of the quotes that you can read in Nick Vujicic’s book. And I think it is one of the
best things that you can learn from him. Growing up, he questioned everyone why was he
born that way and the answer was always, “we don’t know why”. Before, he always prayed
to have arms and legs, but then, he realized that that prayer will never be answered. He was
born without arms and legs, and there is nothing he can do about it, but it doesn’t mean that
he has no direction in life. He can’t change his physical defect, but he can change the way
he looks at it. He started to work on what he have and view his disability as an opportunity to
discover his full potential. His life was like driving on a long and bumpy road and it still hasn’t
changed, but what does is his perception in life. No matter how rough it is, he now knows
how to just enjoy the ride.
