Introduction

3 days diet record project is meant to provide a better understanding of recommended

nutrition guidelines by applying the scientific method. This project help us to analyse the

hockey players diet analysis. It includes a hypothesis regarding actual consumption versus

recommendations, a three-day food journal to collect data and entering and analysing the data

using the MYNutriDiary2 app.

Objectives

Based on the diet analysis, we want to make sure the hockey athlete’s may get the nutrients

and amount they need , including poor food choice based on life-long eating habits, lack of

knowledge about dietary and nutritional need, inability to prepare foods, lack of income to

buy healthy foods, age or illness- related loss appetite.

Instructions to athletes

The athlete need to write down all the foods that he/she consumed in 1 day. The athlete need

to write down the ingredients of the foods, the place, the time and the amount of the size

foods consumed(– table spoon, scoop, tea spoon; plate/bowl – small, medium, large;

cup/glass/mug). The athlete need to write down all the time they have foods eg: breakfast,

lunch, tea time, dinner ,supper (including the water mineral too.).

Example :The athlete have a sandwich as breakfast on 7am. Sandwich ingredients are eggs,

salad, chilli sauce, tomatoes and so on.
