Subject
To share the knowledge of battery charging alarm.
Problem/ Complaint
Battery charging alarm.
Symptom
When test run the engine, “Battery charging alarm” was appeared at I-ECU.
Troubleshooting /Service Step
When we test run the engine, “battery charging alarm” have been still appear. So, we checked battery voltage, it was
normal. We checked charging voltage, it was 25 V. Battery have also 25 V. We checked alternator feed voltage, it has
25 V.
We decided charging voltage is not good.
We changed regulator from other machine
We test run the engine, found charging voltage is 28.1 V and alarm is disappeared.
So, we suggested to customer to change regulator.
Analysis
When battery charging alarm was appeared, we should be checked alternator feed voltage, charging regulator and
charging voltage and alternator.
