3. Why do you want to be a product manager?

A3 :
While working as Account Manager for StartApp, my role required me to understand the product and make changes according to the local Indian market to push custom solutions to
our clients.
Working in fast moving advertising vertical, within a small 5 member team required me to frequently reach out to our product managers in Israel with various queries/asks/solutions

Seeing them work towards solutions using the available levers in control intrigued me as a non tech person. For very complex problems, their solutions were often very simple and
concise.

When our company closed business in April ‘20. I researched a bit about the core skills sets required for a product manager, and the various challenges they face in the role.

Captivated by the potential and observing that I do have some of the skill sets, and a potential to learn the rest – I decided to transition to product management and undertook a
course for the same.

Halfway through the course, I find it very curious to study case studies and follow PM blogs. While refreshing my skills on the various tools I have access to.
I find the prospect of working in a live business environment very fascinating, and would love to understand how to measure the impact of our solutions in terms of user experience
and response

I seem to have found my interest, and have a passion to work harder in the field, than I ever did earlier.
