Inspiring and motivating individuals

a. Why do we do what we do? Why do we exist? // We do what we do
because we believe in the talent of people of this country, we believe
that this talent is wasted and without place, that´s why we exist to
give a place to the talent, for engineering is our tool to help the world
we live in and somewhere we can be ourselves and can express
what we are and change what we must to better the world.//We do
what we do because we believe in the talent and tenacity of our
people, this talent needs a place to be, we provide that place and try
to give a little of ourselves, for engineering is our love and our tool to
help ourselves and make the world a better place for everyone.
b. What does success look like? [Definition of victory]
c. How must we act to ensure success? What are the values we
embrace to ensure success? // Firstly we ought to be in the service of
our volunteers as they are the soul of our organization, secondly we
owe to our community and institution to hold their name onto our
hearts give it more value for the generations to come, thirdly to the
professors which support our desire for creation and innovation.

b. Use stories, anecdotes, metaphors and analogies.
c. Use rhetorical questions and 3-part lists.
d. Express moral conviction
i. Referring to beneficiaries of your work (“customer”)
e. Use inclusive language (“we”, “our”).

1. It is important to have a positive vision (something to strive for) and negative vision (something we
want to avoid).

3. People are wired to believe in something greater than themselves, they can be happy every minute
but they can be happy for the long-term meaningful work they do
