EXPLORATION OF 6G TECH NOW SET IN MOTION BY XIAOMI
Fighting valiantly and rigorously to reach the highest peak of the thoroughgoing cellular tech
industry, Xiaomi is now on the news headlines for its new set objective of beginning integrated
research on 6G technology.
Lei Jun, the CEO as well as the co-owner of the gigantic tech company, disclosed some spoilers
of the company’s plans in the recent Xinhua News Agency interview. 6G, still a vague keyword
in today’s tech roster, has already started circulating the brilliant minds of major smartphone
companies like Samsung, Huawei, LG, and Xiaomi.
Since the past few years, China has been quite engulfed in competition with the other major role
player countries i.e. South Korea, US, UK in the context of withholding the lead-player title for
the next groundbreaking technological advancement. Though being the first leading country to
launch widespread 5G projects in April 2019, undoubtedly, South Korea is now falling short for
the next level if compared to China. Xiaomi’s latest declaration of approaching 6G tech with full
force has successfully sparked up its already upward position in the game.
Previously in 2019, having already released two 5G smartphones-Mi MIX 3 5G and Mi 9 Pro
5G, Jun disclosed the Chinese tech giant’s plan of launching 10 5G smartphones within 2020.
Their inevitable surprises for us didn’t end here. Redmi K30i, with 30W fast wired charging and
battery of 4,500 mAh - the most reasonable 5G smartphone by Xiaomi is expected to launch
within August of this year. To spice up the ongoing success stories to the next level, FORTUNE
GLOBAL 500 LIST listed Xiaomi as the youngest company ever among the other triumphant.
Washington and Beijing - always trying to secure their respective throne as the most
technologically advanced city, both have rolled-out far-reaching 5G cellular networks within
2019. However, China is way forward than the US and other promising countries in this aspect
by creating one of the largest 5G networks and reaching almost 50 Chinese cities (According to
the news portal off Xinhua).
To remain advanced in the power struggle, all these intense planning and endeavors by the
governing authority itself has inspired the native smartphone ventures. Huawei and Xiaomi,
competitors both in local and global market share, are inevitably working hard to create an
impact by going beyond boundaries and marching forward with innovations in each step.
In the present scenario of COVID-19 disrupting the supply chain aspects harshly, Xiaomi has set
up some integrated strategies to approach the adversities with safety while securing the
continuity of the usual market flow. To rectify the existing situations due to the novel
coronavirus pandemic, the company will stop manufacturing 4G smartphones for China and
instead, will focus on empowering their home country on the pre-planned approach for
consolidating 5G technology as well as initiating research on 6G and satellite internet
technology.
Though not much detail is published about Xiaomi’s current progress and strategic research on
the platform of 6G technology, there’s no wonder about the fact that this tech megacorp is
whole-heartedly determined on picking up the crown as the next generation innovator.
The recent global and regional market share of the company also proves the strengthened
resolution of the company and consumers’ growing trust in them.
Whereas some potential competitors as Huawei, Samsung have already set their heart on 6G
initiation, will Xiaomi be able to cross them in the race and become the unprecedented victor?
