MY ENCOUNTERS
WITH ARTS
Instructions: In the first column of the table below, list
down your most striking encounters with arts. In the
second column, explain why you think each encounter is
an experience with art.
CHESS WHY?
\
My first encounter of Chess
is when I was in Grade 5
but I don’t understand how
the mechanics and rule of
playing chess which makes
it boring for my eyes but
when I entered Senior High
School It changes my
perspective of what is chess
truly is, in which I can
conclude that chess is a
form of an art because
playing chess requires
creativity when moving the
pieces and also to delve
deep into the mind of the
opponent to make a move
that may achieve you close
to the victory.
WOOD CARVING WHY?
This pictures are from a
convention from 2018 held by
the DOST for SCIMONTH at
Palacio del sur. Inside of the
convention was full of different
activities and different
programs per booth and the
first thing that I saw inside
was these caverned wood
which is incredible for my eyes
due to the accuracy and the
final product of the carven
wood is very much look like
the real one.
For me Carving wood is a form
of an art using tools to mold or
shape the material until it
forms into the desired
structured by the artist
EMBROIDERY WHY?
This is an embroidery
machine use for education
purpose of Senior High
School Students of Southern
City College Senior High
School located in San Jose
Gusu, where they also made
the uniforms of the students
as well. The first time I saw
this machines I was stand in
awe and amaze for it was my
first time to see such thing
and it really is amazing on
how it works.
I can say Embroidery is an art
in a form of needlework that
has been used worldwide for
the purpose of creating
textiles for decorative and
communicative purposes.
