CONCLUSION
Patient JZ, 3-year old female came with a case of dengue fever with warning
signs and with the chief complaint of seizure. Through the 2-day assessment,
the student nurses have done nursing interventions and concluded that the
patient has a fair prognosis. The Patient was responsive to the interventions
given but was limited due to some factors such as unfamiliarity to the student
nurses causing limited interaction.
Based from the assessment data, the students were able to apply the nursing
processes. The students were also able to develop nursing diagnosis,
demonstrated nursing interventions, construct nursing care plans and made drug
study and evaluated the patient’s response to the interventions that were given.

knowledge about dengue fever and complications associated to it. Skills were
also enhanced during the process of the care. The student gained better
understanding to the patient’s condition and were able to integrate the skills and
attitude they must have for them to give the best quality of care that the patient
deserve to achieve wellness. The drug study helped the student nurses to be
familiarize with the medicines that were prescribed including its uses, actions,
side effects and the necessary nursing interventions.

expertise, add experiences to reinforce their nursing care and skills and improve
on our personal and professional development as student nurses
