Expert Mdcat: Expert Emergency Series 2020 F.Sc. (Part-II)

This document contains a practice test for the MDCAT exam covering electrostatics. It has two sections - short questions worth 20 marks total with 2 marks each for 10 questions, and long questions worth 10 marks total with 5 marks each for 2 questions. The short questions cover topics like electric field lines, potential gradient, Gauss's law, capacitors, and Coulomb's law. The long questions ask about defining capacitors and calculating the zero field location for two point charges.

Q.No.2: Do electrons tend to move to region of high potential or low potential?

Q.No.3: What is potential gradient?

Q.No.4: State gauss's Law. Derive its mathematical equation.

Q.No.5: 1eV= 1.6×10-19. Justify.

Q.No.6: The time constant of a series RC circuit is t=RC. Verify that an Ohm times Farad is
equal to second.

Q.No.7: The potential is constant throughout a given region of space. Is the electrical field zero
or non-zero in this region?

Q.No.8: How can you identify that which plate of capacitor is positively charged?

Q.No.9: Compare gravitational and electric forces.

Q.No.10: State Coulomb's Law.
