MBBS or Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery is a 4 year 5 months
undergraduate degree allowing you to pursue your career in the Doctor's field. This
course is followed by a 1 year mandate internship in the field of surgery, medicines
and hospitals.
You must possess a minimum of 50% in 10+2 from a recognised board with physics,
chemistry, biology/zoology and english as mandatory subjects. You can gain an
overview of anatomy, paediatrics, biochemistry and many other subjects during the
whole course.
To get into good MBBS colleges you need to appear for entrance exams like NEET
and other college exams. Earlier AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS exams were one
of the sources to get admissions in AIIMS institute and JIPMER college respectively
but now both these exams have been replaced by NEET examination. So, to pursue
MBBS you only need to appear for NEET exam. You cannot opt for MBBS from
distance learning mode.

per month that can go upto INR 8-10 Lakh per annum with the time and the
experience gained.

To get admission in MBBS, you need to follow the mentioned below steps:
● First, you need to appear for the entrance exams.
● Qualify entrance with a good score, so that you can rank in the merit list.
● The selected candidates will be invited for the counselling session based on
the student’s rank.
● You need to select the college of your choice from the colleges offered to
you based on the rank you hold.
● Then at the time of counselling you need to present the documents they
have asked for.
Your admission totally depends upon your scorecard and the documents you submit
at the time of counselling. If both of these stages went well, you will get admission in
MBBS in your choice or preferred college.
MBBS Eligibility
To get admission in MBBS course you should have a minimum of 50% in your 10+2
with the following given subjects as mandatory:
● Physics
● Chemistry
● Biology
● English
There is a 10% relaxation for the reserved categories too including SC/ST. Moreover
it is also necessary to clear the entrance test.
You should possess a minimum age of 19 years and a maximum of 25 years to apply
for MBBS admissions.
MBBS: Entrance Exams

Note: Admission to MBBS course through AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS in their
respective colleges is now scrapped and now they accept NEET score only.
