V. Course Policy

 Work Deadlines
When deadlines are given, they are absolute. The majority of missed class assignments
cannot be "made up." If a serious and unavoidable problem arises, you should contact us
personally prior to the deadline to determine whether an extension for the work will be
granted. Thus, late assignments are unacceptable, but if you will have to submit your work
late, please notify us.

5
 Withdrawal from Class
If you stop coming to class, you have not withdrawn and will receive an "E" for the course.

 Reading Assignments
To help you learn a lot from this course, you are supposed not only to attend all of the class
periods, but also to read required textbooks. It is important for your learning progress, and for
your class assignments that require you to fully understand particular concepts/theories so
that you will easily be able to complete learning tasks and assignments given both
individually and collaboratively.

 Collaborative/Group Work
Group work is a required component of the course in which you will be assigned to work on
particular projects/assignments collaboratively. Please remember that you and your group
members are responsible for negotiating together all aspects of your work, including
planning, drafting, revising, file managing, and scheduling of assignments so that you will be
able to complete the assignments given punctually. In doing so, each group member has to
have a sense of social responsibility and good mutual understanding. In the group work, each
member will get the same grade.
