Attention: College Deans, Department Chairs and Program Heads
Dear Sir/Madam:
Greetings!
The National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants-National Capital Region
(NFJPIA-NCR) is a duly recognized organization of accountancy student in the region created
in the auspices of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). With more
than 16,000 members increasing by thousands each year, it remains to be largest regional
organization that helps in producing competent and skilled accounting professionals in the
country.
Founded in 1997, NFJPIA-NCR continues the legacy of unparalleled commitment and service in venturing
new ideas and conducting various projects cultivating its members towards the pillars of academic
excellence, exceptional leadership, and socio-civic involvement. These activities also serve as
avenues for developing dynamic and empowered accounting individuals. This year, as we constitute the
regional council of the organization, we branded our batch name HIRAYAG (blended from the words
HIRAYA meaning vision and LAYAG that translates journey or sail) as we aspire to further strengthen
and unify the region in its battle cry for excellence and solidarity.
As we carry out our pursuits with the theme Expanding Possibilities, NFJPIA – NCR, in
partnership with Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants-Adamson University, and Navarro
Amper & Co., the Philippine member of Deloitte Touche Tomatsu, would like to invite your
institution to participate the 14th NCR Cup 3&4: Business Law and Taxation entitled, “Clash
of Codes” which will be held on September 26, 2015 at the Adamson University, Physics
Hall and Ozanam Building AVR.

understanding of the accountancy profession through academic competitions.
2. To help the contestants discover their strengths and be aware their weaknesses in different

former and overcoming the latter.
3. To allow the contestants to learn new techniques in answering questions in the shortest
possible time as well as handling time pressure which shall serve as preparation for the actual
CPA board examination.
4. To allow the contestants to assess their current academic standing as compared with the
