THE REALITY OF LIFE


Surah al-baqarah: 30-39

From these verses, Allah has


mentioned a stories about prophet
Adam A.S before he was sent down
to this world. Prophet Adam had
been created as a human to spread
good, prevent bad things and take
care of this world as a khalifah. He
was a very humble and honest
person. Allah also has mentioned the
story of how Prophet Adam had
been sent down to this world.
Another character in these verses
is Iblis which Al-Quran potrayed
him as arrogant, neglect and
greedy because of his fire origin.
Iblis made Prophet Adam and Eve
approached the forbidden tree and
ate its fruit. Thus, they were sent
down to this world.
After Prophet Adam and Eve
realized their mistake, they
repented to Allah and continued
their new lives in this world.

So, from this story, we can actually know our enemy's


characteristics which is Iblis and the reason of Prophet
Adam and Eve had been sent down to this world. We also
can see the stages before Prophet Adam be a khalifah in
this world where Allah taught the names of things, Allah
told about the angles and Allah showed the characteristics
of the enemy. Thus, we should take ibrah from this story
and always be careful of our enemies.
THE REALITY OF LIFE
From the verses in Surah al-Baqarah (30-39) we can conclude
that there are:
Three aspects of life:
1) Life is a struggle
Struggle to find which one is true. For instance we can see
from the characteristics of Iblis in this story where Iblis was
struggle to find the weaknesses of Prophet Adam and Eve.

2) Life is a test
Life is a test given from Allah to see who among us is better in
worshipping Him. The purpose of test is to increase our level
of Iman and to develop sense of humbleness and humility.
From this story, the example of life is a test reflected through
tawbah and istighfar from Prophet Adam and Eve when they
failed to not aprroaching the forbidden tree.

3) Life is a business
Life is a business to gain rewards from Allah SWT. We can
obtained rewards if we obey and do all the commandments
from Allah and avoid His prohibitions. At the end of the day,
Those who have a lot of rewards will be rewarded to enter
heaven and those who have a lot of sins will get severe
punishments from Allah SWT.
Values from the Story :

1. We can get to know our real enemies.

2. We can focus and aware when dealing

with people - can know what is correct or

not.

3. Always seek for the forgiveness from

Allah S.W.T whenever we do the mistakes.


Main Task of Khalifah :

1. To serve Allah S.W.T.

2. To represent him as the protectors of

the religion and also the environment.
