ANTARYAAG - ( Internal Havan)-Modified

ANTARYAAG:

Havans can be performed in many different ways. But a yogi may perform it internally. This
process of internal havan is known as PRANAGNIHOTRA SADHNA as detailed by Adi
Shankaracharya in Prapanchsaar tantra. According to Shankara, in this havan two kinds of ahutis
are offered. One is the offering of MATRIKAS while in the other offerings are of FOOD. Here we
are discussing the process in which matrikas are used for ahutis in the internal fire. When we are
to give ahutis of Matrikas in the fire, five kunds are visualized two fingers below the procreative
organ while when we give ahutis of food then they are visualized two fingers below the navel (in
to Jathargni). This whole process is mentally performed.

One has to sit on an asan which has to be established and its poojan done with mantra Om
Adharshaktikamalasnaye namah facing EAST direction. In the mooladhar lotus five kundas are
generated as shown in the paper attached. Fire is established in them. As the fire rages, ahutis of
various varnas are offered with the help of mantra given in the attached sheet.
Different kundas support different kind of fires which represent different elements and are
associated with different varnas or matrikas. This has been amply clarified in the picture drawn.
Whatever is burnt in nature only destroys its physical form. After giving ahuti of all the 50
matrikas in the five kundas, one may join the fire of all of them in the middle of Mooladhar. Then
through that fire one should pick up the vishudha matrikas and re-establish them in their specific
locations in various chakras in ones body. This way one can do cleansing of the vritis too.
Though it has not been mentioned in the scripture but is thought as potent procedure to
experience.

One who performs this yajan gives 50 ahutis in the different kundas and also does nyas of these
50 matrikas in his body as well. As a result of this, one becomes the form of effulgence available
in one’s own Sahasrar lotus. One whose antashkaran gets illuminated with light of mooladhar he
becomes Sun, Moon, Planets, five elements, 14 bhuvnas, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Avyakt,
Eternal and nectar himself. He becomes anandswaroop, without beginning & end, HAMSA.
As per kularnava Tantra, as a king likes specially those people who serve him in his personal
chamber more then those who serve him otherwise. Same way Devi likes all those sadhaks
specially who performs Antaryajan then those who do not.

When one does havan of food in to the fires of different kundas then the five kundas are
represented by five pranas in the body. During eating first all the five kundas are visualized and
generated by taking their names inside the body and then five different elements are associated
with them respectively.  Then five tongues of fire (Hiranya, Gagna, Rakta, Krishna and Suprabha)
are attached to them and with specific mantras food is offered in to the jathragni. Above, only
Pranagnihotra sadhana with Matrika is being shared. Some time in future same process with
food will also be shared. So just sit on your asna, visualize the kundas and proceed with your
antaryaag. Hope all will practice it, enjoy it as one does immensely………….Om!.

ADDITIONAL INFO: In answer to dear readers question one is elaborating a little further here.

Om Hrim Hamsa Soham Swaha (Am) namah! This is the way mentioned in the scripture. I tried
it in simpler way also which feels quite ok as 'Om (Am) Swaha'. Hence it is up to you to
experiment. While in the first mantra he is using Shakti tatva of Hrim, Brahm dhara of Hamsa,
Rudra dhara through Soham, Swaha for ahuti, Namah of poojan. In the second one I tried to
simplify and experiment with ahuti part only.

Kundas are shown as five fires in the above sketch. While vertical columns of varnas written in
Hindi text under 1-2-3-4-5 represent in which kund that havan ahuti is to be performed which is
as per particular element out of the five elements.

Above mentioned nyasa is done by joining two nyasas i.e. Antar Matrika Nyas and Bahir Matrika
Nyas. But prior to performing them, we must understand the meaning of nyas. This is a process
by which we establish a Shakti or power on a particular part in our body that is why it is callsed
Nyas.

For this, first we should do some relaxation and generate our bhav to such an extent that the
moment we say Am Namah and touch a part of our body with tattwa mudra (by joining thumb and
ring finger), we should be able to feel its presence there. The antar matrika nyas, as the name
represents, is to be performed on petals of different chakras as per the location of various varnas
in  them, while Bahir matrika nyas is to be performed on our gross body. Since varnas are fifty in
number, total number of nyas locations will be fifty in case of Antar matrika . While in case of
Bahir Matrika nyas, it is further divided in to Sanghar, Srishti and Sthiti, hence three different
forms of nyas are done under this heading. This practice pertains to tantra and is a little complex
and hence difficult to explain for the reader to follow correctly. But if one can get hold of some
good scripture, detail of this nyas will be available and one can find some one to explain the
process  regards specific Viniyog, Rishi nyas, Shadang nyas etc. If grace is there, it will surely
happen. Hope it gives some clarification on the procedure in above subject. If still not clear, dear
readers may contact again........Om
