DME Removal Instructions

Tools Needed:
13mm socket
Small Flat Head Screwdriver

1. Turn the 4 13mm plastic nuts ¼ turn counterclockwise to release.

2. Now Turn the 3 13mm Plastic nuts to replace the panel. Also Unplug
the electrical sensor
3. Release the two tabs inside the cowling. Then using a small flathead
screwdriver, pry up on the inner pin to release the plastic rivet

4. Now remove the electronic box cover by first releasing the spring
clips. Then using a small screwdriver release the three retaining tabs

5. Now Remove the five electrical connectors from the DME and slide
the unit up and out
6. Make sure do not try and move the car once the DME has been
removed. Do not place the Key fob in the car or turn on the ignition,
this my cause the EWS system to go out of alignment

7. Now safely pack the computer and ship it to:

Instructions on the air bill should indicate this. If not, Active Autowerke has the

not release the reprogrammed DME until payment has been received.
