Chapter 1

Explanation:

Background of the study

- In the 20th century is the start of revolving a new modern automobile in the other
country. The other people invented automobile like in the air, water, and land for the
people to need to use to travel. It is also very common that people uses public utility
vehicles for day to day transportation from work, school, malls, market and etc. These
tricycles where the usual mode of transportation of passengers, products and supplies
from barangays or city.

Conceptual Framework

- Here in the Philippines many traffic and accident happen because of their speed of
driving. And then think you’re safety first to driving if your family is inside of your private
cars. Then if you want to cross the road use pedestrian line for your safety.

Statement of the Study

This study aims to investigate the factors that contribute to the number of vehicle, tricycle to
the Municipality of Oton.

This study aims to answer the specific questions:

1. What are the factors that contribute to the number of vehicle-tricycle to the
Municipality of Oton?

Significance of the Study

This study wills benefits of following individuals:

Tricycle Operators:

The data from the study can give the operators the feedback for what factor can affect
the number of passenger vehicles in the municipality.
Municipality of Oton (LGU)

The results of this study could be served as reference for local resolutions and
ordinances for the Tricycles association’s rules and regulations.

Scope and Delimitation

This study focused on the factors that contribute to the number of passenger vehicle
tricycle to the Municipality of Oton. This study was start November 2017 and will end on March
2018.

Definition of the Terms

Passenger

Like the Passenger who is traveling from one place to another in a cars, buses, trains, ships,
airplanes, etc. And who is not driving or working on it .In this study passenger refers to people
that use the tricycle as transportation to go their destination.

A systematic review of the literature was conducted to appraise the evidence from
epidemiological studies of crash risk in young drivers accompanied by passengers, compared
with solo driving. Databases searched included the Cochineal Library, Embassy, SC-opus,
Transportation Research Information Services, and Web of Science for studies published
between January 1, 1989 and August 1, 2013.

Traffic-related crashes are one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality for teenagers and
young adults. Some key studies have identified passenger presence and their number as
important factors associated with increased fatal crash risk for teenagers.

Chapter 3

Methodology
Research Design

This study entitled “The Factor that contributes to the number of passenger

vehicle (tricycle) to the Municipality of Oton descriptive by design. It attempts

to seek the contribute to the number passenger vehicle (tricycle) to the

Municipality of Oton.

Research Procedure

The researchers then stated the problem of the study, followed by the identification of the
respondents and the locale of the study. The researchers identified what kind of Research
Design they will be using. The researchers proceeded with the outlining of procedure.

Research Instruments

Research Instruments for this study are researcher-made of interviews and observation.

Respondents

Lastly, the researchers chose four (4) randomly selected number of passenger vehicle (tricycle)
to Municipality of Oton from each Barangay of Oton. The researcher assured their respected
respondents that every detail of the interview will be held with the utmost confidentiality, only
exclusive for research purposes.
