Prepare the estimate for a proposed commercial complex for a municipal


corporation for the following data. Height of each storey = 3.5m No. of
storey’s = G+2.Cubical content rate = 200 $/m3. Provided for a following
as a percentage of structured cost
1. Water supply& Sanitary arrangement @8%
2. Electrification @6%.
3. Fluctuation of rates @5%
4. Contractors profit @ 10%
5. Petty supervision & contingencies @ 3%.
Determine the total cost of building project.

Sol.
A1 = 20x10 = 200 m2.
A2 = ( ) = 39.270 m2.
Atotal = 239.270 m2.
Volume = 239.270 x 3.5 x 3 = 2513 m3.
Cost of building = Volume x Price/m3
= 2513x200 = 502600 $
Total cost = 502600(1+0.08+0.06+0.05+0.1+0.03)
= 663432 $
