EXPLORE:
The Students will listen to a song entitled “ What a Wonderful World by Luis
Armstrong”.
After listening to the song the students will answer the following questions:
1. Who is the composer of the song?
2. What is the song writer’s perspective about the world?
3. Do agree with them? Why or why not?
4. Based on the song what could you speculate about the writer’s back ground?
5. What could have been their family situation?
6. What about a school surrounding?
7. What experiences could have led them to write the song?
8. If you could directly speak with the song writers, what would you say about the song?
Imagine the conversation that would take place among you.

The will be set of pictures to flashed on the screen. The students will identify the
words which could correctly describe the four pictures.

Motivation:
Set of Pictures will be flashed on the screen.

After seeing the pictures, the students will answer the following questions:
1. What can you see in this set of pictures?
2. Can you identify what is in the screen?
3. Are they someone familiar to you? Why do you think they become models?
4. If ever you’ll be given a chance to become a model, what product or service would it be
and why?

Statement of Learning Outcomes:


We ended our previous lesson with the elements of communication process. Taking
all the elements into consideration, the next question would be: How exactly do the elements
of communication work effectively. So, at the end of the lessons the students should be able
to:

1. Explains the nature and process of communication.


2. Differentiates the various models of communication.

Activities

Activity 1.
Songs like what a wonderful world demonstrate how the communicative process can
sometimes be one-sided. There are many ways to communicate. They vary in one aspect or
another. Take a look at these pictures. Look closely and answer the following questions:

1. Describe the differences you can see in this picture.
2. What kind of communication do you think is happening from these set of people?
3. What do you think is the difference when these people perform a communicative
process in a certain situation?
4. If you were to illustrate the communication that’s happening with these situations what
would it look like? Show your illustration.

Activity 2. Research
Divide the class into 10 groups.
You were asked to create your illustration for various kind of communication context. Now,
let us look back to past and give credits to scholars who tried to illustrate communication
process. Research on the different Communication Models
