Subject: 1 year Apprenticeship Training program for Graduate Engineers and Technician (Diploma
Holders) under the Apprentices Act of 1961 (as amended)

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates having Degree (BE/B.Tech) in Engineering and
Diploma in Engineering and Technology for 01 year Apprenticeship Training at Brahmaputra Cracker
and Polymer Limited, a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE), joint venture of GAIL (India) Limited,
Oil India Limited, Numaligarh Refinery Limited and Govt. of Assam under Apprenticeship Act ,1961
(as amended from time to time)for the following categories:

1) Minimum Education Qualification:

1.1 Category –I Graduate Apprentices:-

 A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant
discipline.
 A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such
degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.
 Graduate examination of professional bodies recognised by the State Government or Central
Government as equivalent to above

1.2 Category –II Technician (Diploma Holder) Apprentices:-
 A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical
Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
 A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University in relevant discipline.
 A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution recognised by the State
Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.

2) Age:
Not less than eighteen years and upper age limit is 30 years as on 30.04.2019. The upper age limit is
relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidate, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for Persons with
Disability.

3) Reservation:
The provisions of Govt. directives for engagement of Apprentices in SC/ST/OBC/PWD Category will
be applicable.
4) Selection:
Selection of shortlisted candidates will be made only through written test or personal interview or
both written test and Personal Interview as decided by Management. Schedule for written test or
personal interview of shortlisted candidates will be published in the BCPL website
www.bcplonline.co.in

5) Other terms and Conditions:

 Candidates who have passed out in the year 2016, 2017 and 2018 are eligible to apply in
the aforesaid post. However, engineering graduate or diploma holder who had already
under gone training or having job experience for a period of one year or more after
acquiring required qualifications shall not be eligible for being engaged as an Apprentice
under the Act.
 Candidates who have secured aggregate 55% and above marks in their Final Examination in
the year 2016, 2017 and 2018 will be preferred.
 The training will be governed by the Apprentices Act 1961 as amended from time to time.
 Apprentices cannot be assured for company’s accommodation and they are required to
make their own boarding & lodging arrangements.
 No travel expenses will be paid at the time of selection test/interview as well as at the time
of joining training.
 No transport facility or conveyance allowance will be provided during the course of
Apprenticeship training.
 Since this training is governed under Apprentice Act, 1961 as amended from time to time,
there is no assurance of any further extension/employment after completion of the
apprenticeship training.
 Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

 The Candidates who fulfil above criteria such as age qualification and other terms and
conditions may apply online in the prescribe format on or before 30.04.2019 on our website
www.bcplonline.co.in .

6) HOW TO APPLY

Eligible and interested candidates will be required to apply online through BCPL
website www.bcplonline.co.in. No other means / mode of application shall be accepted.
Before applying the candidates should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility norms. The
registration will be provisional as the eligibility will be verified only at the time of joining.
Mere issue of Admit Card / Interview Call Letter will not imply acceptance of candidature.
Candidature of a registered candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of engagement
process or even on joining, if any information provided by the candidate is found to be false
or not in conformity with the eligibility criteria at any stage or if candidate fails to produce
valid documentary proof in support of his/her eligibility

Before registration the candidate must ensure the following:

i. Valid e-mail ID, which should remain valid for at least one year. No change in the e-mail
ID will be allowed once entered.
.
ii. Candidates should ensure that they possess requisite qualification at the time of
applying.

iii. Candidates should have latest passport size photograph as well as photograph of
signature in digital form (.jpg or .jpeg only of less than 100 kb size) for uploading with the
application form.

iv. Candidates are advised to read carefully instructions for online submission of application.
The same will be available in the website itself.

v. While filling online application the candidates must carefully follow all the steps.
Incomplete application / application without fee (not applicable for SC / ST / PH candidates)
/ application not fulfilling any eligibility criteria will be rejected summarily. No
communication will be entertained from applicants in this regard.

vi. After applying online, the candidate is required to download the registration slip and
other essential details.

vii. Candidates are not required to send any document to BCPL, Lepetkata at this
stage. The candidates will be allowed to appear in the Written Test / Trade Test, if
applicable, only if they possess the valid Photo Admit Card which will be send to the
personal email-ids of the candidates.

viii. The application being online, if during verification of documents at the time of
interview / joining, it is found that the candidate does not possess the requisite eligibility
criteria, he / she will not be allowed to appear for the interview or shall be engaged in the
apprentices post.
