Jackson Memorial Hospital

To who it may concern,

I am highly interested in the New RN opening in the Labor and Delivery Unit now available at
Jackson Memorial Hospital. I will be graduating in August 2020, and taking the NCLEX
September 20th, 2020. The values of compassion, accountability and respect in your mission
reflect an example organization that I would love to be part of. During my volunteer and rotation
experience as a nursing student, I had the opportunity to learn in different hospitals and facilities
in the Miami Area, and Jackson Memorial Hospital was the one that stayed fondly in my
memory for the passionate work I saw in the Labor and Delivery Unit. I felt a natural drive to
dedicate my care to mothers that are experiencing not only one of the more painful experiences
in human existence, but a transformation of women into creators of life. Ever since my clinical
rotation on the Labor and Delivery Unit, triage OB and NICU at Jackson Memorial Hospital, I
discover that this job is my calling as a nurse. Also, the emphasis on patient-centered care and
the patience that I saw in all the staff was impressive. I thank my preceptors in the hospital and
my Clinical Instructor, who shared with me such valuable information about patient care and
nursing philosophy. I am fascinated in beginning my nursing career at Jackson Memorial
Hospital and I am convinced that my competence and experience prepared me well. I look
forward to meeting you, and please do not hesitate to contact me at 786-370-0918.

Sincerely,

Laura Katherine Castano Barragan
