Thank you for booking your stay with us at Thalassa Beach Resort in North
Cyprus, we look forward to greeting you!

To help you with your travel arrangements we can offer the following
services to make your journey as trouble free as possible.

Airports
When flying to Cyprus you can choose between Ercan (Lefkoşa), located in North Cyprus
(TRNC) or Larnaca and Paphos airports located in the Republic of Cyprus (ROC).

Ercan is around a 1 hour transfer to Thalassa Beach Resort while Larnaca is around 1½
hours and Paphos 2½ hours.

If you choose to fly to the ROC, you will have the option of direct flights. If you choose to fly
to Ercan (TRNC) you will have a stopover in Turkey. Please note that flying into the ROC will
require you to cross the border from south to north of the island.

Airport Transfers
If you would like us to arrange your transfers on arrival and for departure from whichever
airport you choose we will be happy to do so. Please contact us via email

Car Hire
You may wish to explore the area and North Cyprus during your stay with us, so if you are
looking to hire a car during your stay please contact us via rentals@kensingtoncyprus.com
for further information on our negotiated prices.

Currency
The local currency here in North Cyprus is the Turkish Lira, so it is worth looking at
exchange rates in your own country prior to travelling. However, GBP Sterling, Euros and
US Dollars are also generally accepted for many goods and services. (It is advisable to
exchange here, always a better rate.)

Location
Thalassa Beach Resort is located on the south east coast of North Cyprus, close to the
wonderful Karpas Peninsula where you can experience the true nature and spirit of the
island. It is around a 40 minute drive to the historical city of Famagusta, 1½ hours drive
from the traditional harbour town of Kyrenia and the capital city of Lefkoşa. The resort,
being part of the Bafra Tourism area, is also home to some wonderful 5 Star hotels where
you can experience a different environment with waterparks and casinos, should you wish.

Weather
Officially the seasons in North Cyprus are Autumn in October, Winter from November to
March, Spring in April and May and Summer from June to September. Spring nights may be
a little cool, so we would recommend some clothing to keep you warm during this time.
Summer temperatures can reach the high 30’s so make sure to bring plenty of sun block
with you.
