Dear students,

This document will be your guide to the best online Lithuanian Language and Culture Summer
experience!
Participants: You are amazing! Let’s start from that. Thank you for choosing these courses and we
hope that you will have amazing time and we will see you in Lithuania in person next year.
Lithuanian language: not going to lie, it is difficult but so rewarding! Welcome back those who are
continuing their pursuit to master Lithuanian language!
Online tools: We are going to use Zoom (for lectures); other online platforms (Slack, Google
Classroom) for other activities and communication.
Test calls: Available on 20 July, 2020, 2.30–3.30 PM CEST time, 6.30– 7.30 CEST time. Link to the

Checklist: Immersive learning experience will include your thorough education on various things
Lithuanian. The checklist is available on our Slack group, but we will email it as well with other
documents.
Getting to know each other: Meet our team and fellow students, get to know their motivation and
why they are all amazing and passionate about learning Lithuanian! The file is available on our Slack
group, but we will email it as well with other documents.
Learning environment: Slack or Google Classroom. You will decide on the platform you prefer with
your teacher and group members.
Social media: follow us on Facebook: Baltic Summer University and Instagram. Join a closed
Facebook group if you haven’t done it already. If you have any pictures from your learning
experience, please share it with us!
Programme: The detailed programme is available on our Slack group, but we will email it as well
with other documents.

Placement test: FOR THOSE WHO HAVE REGISTERED. On 26th July, 15.00–17.00 (GMT +3,
Lithuanian time). Link will be sent separately to those who have registered.

Group 1
Language lectures 11.00 AM Lithuania time (10.00 AM CEST) Duration: 2.5 hours including a 30-
minute break
Cultural activities 14.30 Lithuania time (1.30 PM CEST) Duration: 1 hour
Group 2
Cultural activities 14.30 Lithuania time (1.30 PM CEST) Duration: 1 hour
Language lectures 16.00 PM Lithuania time (3.00 PM CEST) Duration: 2.5 hours including a 30-
minute break
