opening prayer, after which there will be a brief
summary of the last topic.

about Current and Future Trends in Media and
Information

Current and Future Trends in Media and
Information
A. Ubiquitous Learning
B. Massive Open Online Course
C. Wearable Technology
D. 3D Environment
E. Performance Task: Project
What is ubiquitous learning?
- can be defined as an everyday learning
environment that is supported by mobile and
embedded computers and wireless networks in our
everyday life (Ogata et al. 2009). It is aimed to
provide learners with content and interaction
anytime and anywhere (Hwang et al. 2008).
The main characteristics of ubiquitous learning
Permanency: Learners never lose their
work unless it is purposefully deleted. In
addition, all the learning processes are
recorded continuously every day.
Accessibility: Learners have access to their
documents, data, or videos from anywhere.
That information is provided based on their
requests. Therefore, the learning involved
is self-directed.
Immediacy: Wherever learners are, they
can get any information immediately. Thus,
learners can solve problems quickly.
Otherwise, the learner can record the
questions and look for the answer later.
Interactivity: Learners can interact with
experts, teachers, or peers in the form of
synchronies or asynchronous
communication. Hence, the experts are
more reachable and the knowledge
becomes more available.
Situating of instructional activities: The
learning could be embedded in our daily
life. The problems encountered as well as
the knowledge required are all presented
in their natural and authentic forms. This
helps learners notice the features of
problem situations that make particular
actions relevant.
Adaptability: Learners can get the right
information at the right place with the right
way.
What Is a MOOC?
A massive open online course (MOOC) is a
model for delivering learning content online to
any person who wants to take a course, with no
limit on attendance.
Wearable technology
-are smart electronic devices (electronic device
with micro-controllers) that can be incorporated
into clothing or worn on the body as implants or
accessories.
What is wearable technology and give 2 examples?
Wearable technology (also called wearable gadgets) is a
category of technology devices that can be worn by a
consumer and often include tracking information related
to health and fitness. Other wearable tech gadgets include
devices that have small motion sensors to take photos and
sync with your mobile devices.
There are various types of wearable
technologies and here are six of them you
should know about :
Implantables. ...
Smartwatches. ...
Smart Jewellery. ...
Fitness Trackers. ...
Smart Clothing. ...
Head-Mounted Displays.
What is the purpose of wearable technology?
Wearable's are electronic technology or
devices incorporated into items that can be
comfortably worn on a body. These wearable
devices are used for tracking information on
real time basis. They have motion sensors that
take the snapshot of your day to day activity
and sync them with mobile devices or laptop
computers.
3D Interactive environments are often referred to
as virtual reality or interactive 3D and have a
figurative appearance. Much like our own world,
this type of world allows interaction with other
(networked) beings as well as manipulation of
objects (Loeffler & Andersen 1994). They are a kind
of virtual habitat.
IV Practice The teacher will randomly call the students
about the diff. use of media in their daily life in
a form of oral recitation
V-Enrichment The students will be ask about the importance
of Some Opportunities, challenges and power
of media information them as a Senior High
School students.
VI – Evaluation the teacher will conduct an oral recitation and
quiz.
