1 General Information
1.1 System Requirements
The following tools / programs are necessary for working with OpenDXM Supplier Client:
Internet Browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox)
Java from version 1.4
Activation of Java Script at Internet Browser
1.2 Login Information
All the contact persons of the partner use the same login name and the same password.
1.3 Retention Time
The uploaded data (brose partner) are 7 days available for downloading.
1.4 Notifications
It is not possible to send an email to external partners.
You get the data accompanying letter from the brose user via email.

2 Start and Login
Please include the following link into an internet browser for starting the OpenDXM
Supplier Client:
https://dxm.brose.com/opendxmsupplier/
The announcement occurs with ”Login“ at the OpenDXM Supplier Client.
You get the user name and the password from the brose DXM administrator via email.

3 User Interface and Options
After successfully announcement there are different options for the data exchange
process available.
Upload Provide / Upload of CAD data for Brose
Jobs Display all import and export jobs
Download Download of provided CAD data from Brose
Support Creation of an email for the DXM administrator (in terms of
problems or questions)
Help The standard help for OpenDXM Supplier Client will be
displayed
Info All information of OpenDXM Supplier Client and contact
data of Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co. KG will be
displayed
Change Change the password

3.1 Option „Upload“
In order to send CAD data to “Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co. KG“ you have to use the
option “Upload”.
Company Preselected with „Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbHuCo KG“
Location Selection of the location
Department Completed automatically, after selection of the contact
person
Person Selection of the contact person
Project Completed automatically, after selection of the contact
person
File format Preselected with „Supplier to Brose“
Warning:
The settings may not been changed. If some changes will be done (e.g. change of
the project, project ≠ current brose project), the data cannot be transferred.

If all the information for data exchange are filled, an additional window will be opened
for selecting the CAD data. Now you have to select the CAD data which you want to
send to “Brose Fahrzeugteile GmbH & Co. KG”.
With the function “Open” all the selected data sets will be added to the data exchange
process (export). A multi selection is possible.
The job can be started with the function “Start job“.

If the creation done successfully, the following message appears:

3.2 Option „Jobs“
Under “Jobs“ you can find all information about already send CAD data:

3.3 Option „Download“
All transmitted data (brose partner) can be downloaded under “Download”.
Please select the hook for downloading the transferred CAD data at the beginning of the
line.
In the column „ Transferred“ is recognizable, if the data set already downloaded (
Transferred = YES) or not ( Transferred = NO).
Under the information about the data set will be displayed.

For the option “Download“ there are some additional functions available:

4 Frequent FAQ‘s
1. Is it allowed to use special characters in file names?
No. Don’t use special characters at the file name. Space characters are not allowed,
too.

2. How can the CAD data provided to the OpenDXM Supplier Client?
Please generate a TAR-Archive with all the CAD data and upload this TAR-Archive to
the OpenDXM Supplier Client.
3. How can the converted CAD data provided to the OpenDXM Supplier Client?
Converted CAD data should be uploaded without any archive to our OpenDXM
Supplier Client (e.g. STEP, IGES, …).
4. The following message describes a problem with the upload of the CAD data. The
CAD data are not available for the brose user.
The message „ creating job failed” will be displayed at the Upload-Monitor.

5. If the following message displayed, the timeout of the login was arrived (after 15
min.). Please login again.
6. If the following message displayed after the login, than it is no free OpenDXM
Supplier Client license available.
After a few minutes a new login can be performed.
