"Social Architecture"
is architecture that creates with communities in mind. It operates more in the manner of discovery and
exploration, rather than breakthroughs and invention. It promotes qualities that create a gentler and more
harmonious pace of societal development than the peaks and throughs of triumphalist achievement. We
believe in promoting this as a studio with the idea that humanity’s story must, more and more, be socially
inclusive than selectively exclusive.

WTA Architecture and Design Studio is one of the Top 10 Architectural Firms in the Philippines in 2018 as cited
by BCI Asia. It is multidisciplinary group of young and idealistic architects and interior designers, and urban
planners and engineers based in Manila, Philippines. The office participates in a wide range of design activities
with a focus in socially relevant designs geared towards beautifying Manila and building a better city. WTA
focuses on finding solutions for the dichotomy of big and small projects, and simple and complex ideas. The
firm emphasizes its strong focus on ideas and the design process where programs are broken down and
evolved in the studio and projected towards the surrounding community and city.
To date, WTA has worked on luxury residences and condominium towers suburban mass and housing and
skyscrapers, branch offices and corporate headquarters, dormitories and luxury hotels, retail shops and
shopping center. This time-condensed wide range of expenses has allowed us to explore and anticipate the

urban trends and growth patterns in our city. Our projects continue to explore the possibilities for the city of
tomorrow and to develop exciting new ideas for how we live, work and enjoy in our built environment.
As part of our focus on the development of experiences and ideas, WTA partnered with a variety of urban
change agents like Artesan Prime Properties (a design-oriented urban property developer), the Book Stop
Project (a data gathering and book distribution and proliferation urban research device), and Anthology
Architecture and Design Festival Manila (the largest celebration of architecture and design in the Philippines).
The studio also explores collaborative projects with government offices and institutions as well as conducting a
semiannual design workshop focusing on concept and ideas for different parts of Manila.
WTA Architecture and Design Studio, founded in 2007 by its principal architect, William Ti. Ti Jr., is a
collaborative office headed by William together with Melissa Mae Tan, Elmer Suerte, Kenneth Yu, and Ricardo
Alina. It is a Filipino architectural design firm composed of over 90 architects and designers working on over
400 projects in different stages of development all over the Philippines.
