The Project 1124M ship is the base platform for different-purpose ships. Its
development was based on the experience of developing and operating ships of this
class.
The following variants of the project are available:
Project 1124M antisubmarine warfare (ASW) ship is designed to destroy
enemy surface and underwater targets, while operating independently or as
part of a task force, to counter single air targets and sabotage/terrorist assets,
provide fire support to ground forces operating in the maritime sector, protect
coastal lines of communication and interdict the enemy’s sea lines of
communications, perform escort, reconnaissance and patrol missions;
Project 1124M1 fire support ship is designed to provide fire support to ground
forces operating in the maritime sector, protect coastal lines of communication
and interdict the enemy’s sea lines of communications, fight enemy surface
and underwater targets independently and as part of a task force, perform
reconnaissance and patrol missions, assist border troops in border protection,
counter single air targets and sabotage/terrorist assets;
Project 1124M2 Coast Guard ship is designed to patrol and protect maritime
borders and exclusive economic zone, counter enemy surface and underwater
targets independently and as part of a task force, provide for defense of naval
bases, participate in reconnaissance actions, guard and protect coastal
shipping, support marine operations and show the flag in the areas of public
interest.
