[SURAH AL-WAQIAH]
ُ ۡ ََ َ
١ ج ٱل َٔاك َِػث
ِ إِذا َورػ
1. When the great event comes to pass,
ٌ َ ۡ َ
٢ ى ۡي َس ل َِٔر َػخ ِ َٓا َكذِةَث
2. There is no belying its coming to pass--
ٌ ٞ َ َ
٣ خاف ِضث َّراف َِػث
3. Abasing (one party), exalting (the other),
ّ ّٗ َ ُ َ ۡ َّ َ
٤ ج ٱۡلۡرض رجا ِ إِذا ُرج
4. When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking,
ّ ّٗ َ ُ َ ۡ ُ
٥ ٱۡلتال بصا ِ َوب َّص
ِ ج
5. And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling,
ّّٗ َ ُّ ّٗ ٓ َ َ ۡ َ َ َ
٦ فَكُج ْتاء ٌۢنترا
6. So that they shall be as scattered dust.
ّٗ َ َٰ َ َ ّٗ َٰ َ ۡ َ ۡ ُ ُ َ
٧ وكِخً أزوجا ذلرث
7. And you shall be three sorts.
َ َ ۡ َ ۡ ُ َٰ َ ۡ َ ٓ َ َ َ ۡ َ ۡ ُ َٰ َ ۡ َ َ
٨ ِفأصحب ٱلٍيٍِثِ ٌا أصحب ٱلٍيٍِث
8. Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the
right hand!

َ َ ۡ َ ۡ ُ َٰ َ ۡ َ ٓ َ َ َ ۡ َ ۡ ُ َٰ َ ۡ َ َ
٩ ِوأصحب ٱلٍشٍٔثِ ٌا أصحب ٱلٍشٍٔث
9. And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the
left hand!
َ ُ َٰ َّ َ ُ َٰ َّ َ
٪ ٱىستِلٔن وٱىستِلٔن
10. And the foremost are the foremost,
َ ُ َّ َ ُ ۡ َ َٰٓ َ ْ ُ
٫ أولهِم ٱلٍلربٔن
11. These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah),
َّ َ
٬ ًِ ج ٱنلَّ ِػي
ِ َِٰف جج
12. In the gardens of bliss.
َ َّ َ ۡ َ ّ ٞ َّ ُ
ذيث ٌَِ ٱۡلوى ِي ٭
13. A numerous company from among the first,
ّ ٞ َ
ِِ َوكيِيو ٌ ََِ ٱٓأۡل
َ خر
يَ ٮ
14. And a few from among the latter.
َ ُ ۡ َّ ُ ُ َٰ َ َ
لَع ُسرٖ ٌٔضُٔثٖ ٯ
15. On thrones decorated,
َ ِ ي َغيَ ۡي َٓا ٌُ َخ ََٰٰتي
ٰي َ ِٔك َّ ُّ
ِ ٌخ
ِ
16. Reclining on them, facing one another.

َ ُ َّ َ ُّ ٞ َٰ َ ۡ ۡ ۡ َ َ ُ ُ َ
َّلون ٱ حطٔف غيي ًِٓ وِىدن ُّم
17. Round about them shall go youths never altering in age,
َّ ّ ۡ َ َ ََ ۡ َ
يٲ َ َ َ
ٖ ِاب وأةارِيق وكأ ٖس ٌَِ ٌػ
ٖ ٔةِأز
18. With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink;
َ ُ ُ َ َ َ ۡ َ َ ُ َّ َ ُ َّ
زنفٔن ٳ
ِ َّل يصدغٔن خِٓا وَّل ي
19. They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted,
َ ُ َّ َ َ َ َّ ّ َ َٰ َ َ
َّيون ٴ وفهِٓ ٖث مٍِا حخخ
20. And fruits such as they choose,
َ ۡ ِۡ َ َو
ۡ َلً َط
َّي ّم ٍَِّا يَش َخ ُٓٔن ٵ
ٖ
21. And the flesh of fowl such as they desire.
ٞ ٔر خ
يٶ ِ ٌ َو ُخ
22. And pure, beautiful ones,
ُ ۡ َ ۡ ُ ۡ ُّ
َٰ َََۡ
ٔن ٷ
ِ ِنأٌث ِو ٱليؤلٔ ٱلٍه
23. The like of the hidden pearls:
َ ُ َ ۡ َ ْ ُ َ َ َۢ َ ٓ َ َ
جزاء ةٍِا َكُٔا حػٍئن ٸ
24. A reward for what they used to do.

ۡ َ َ ّٗ ۡ َ َ َ ُ ۡ َ َ
َّل يص ٍَػٔن ذِيٓا ىغٔا َوَّل حأث ِيٍا ٹ
ً
25. They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse,
َ َ ّٗ َّ
إَِّل رِيٗل َشل َٰ ٍّٗا َشل َٰ ٍّٗا ٺ
26. Except the word peace, peace.
َ ۡ ُ َ ۡ ََٓ َ ۡ ُ َ ۡ ََ
يٻ َٰ
ِ ٍِ ي ٌا أصحب ٱۡل ِ ٍِ وأصحَٰب ٱۡل
27. And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right
hand!
ُ ۡ َّ
ِف ِش ۡدرٖ ُّمضٔ ٖد ټ
28. Amid thornless lote-trees,
ُ ۡ
َو َطي ٖح ٌَِّضٔ ٖد ٽ
29. And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another.
ّ
َوظ ِٖو َّم ٍۡ ُدو ٖد پ
30. And extended shade,
ُ ۡ َّ ٓ َ َ
ٔب ٿ
ٖ وٌاءٖ ٌص
ه
31. And water flowing constantly,
َ َ َ َٰ َ َ
وفهِٓثٖ نرَِّية ٖ ڀ
32. And abundant fruit,

َ ُ ۡ َ َ َ َ ُ ۡ َ َّ
َّل ٌلطٔغثٖ وَّل مٍِٔغثٖ ځ
33. Neither intercepted nor forbidden,
َ َُوفُ ُرش ٌَّ ۡرف
ٔغ ٍث ڂ ٖ
34. And exalted thrones.
ّٗ ٓ َ َّ ُ َٰ َ ۡ َ َ ٓ َّ
إِجا أنشأنَٓ إِنشاء ڃ
35. Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth,
ً َ ۡ َ َّ ُ َٰ َ ۡ َ َ َ
فجػيجَٓ أةسارا ڄ
36. Then We have made them virgins,
ّٗ َ َۡ ًُُ
غربا أحراةا څ
37. Loving, equals in age,
ۡ َ ۡ َّ
يچ َ َٰ
ِ ٍِ ب ٱۡل
ِ ِۡلصح
38. For the sake of the companions of the right hand.
َ َّ َ ۡ َ ّ ٞ َّ ُ
ذيث ٌَِ ٱۡلوى ِي ڇ
39. A numerous company from among the first,
ّ ٞ َّ ُ
ِِ َوذيث ٌ ََِ ٱٓأۡل
َ خر
يَ ڈ
40. And a numerous company from among the last.

َ ّ ُ َٰ َ ۡ َ ٓ َ َ ّ ُ َٰ َ ۡ َ َ
ٱلشٍا ِل ډ
ِ ٱلشٍا ِل ٌا أصحب ِ وأصحب
41. And those of the left hand, how wretched are those of the left hand!
ََ ُ َ
ِيم ڊ
ٖ ِف شٍٔ ٖم وَح
42. In hot wind and boiling water,
َۡ ّ
َوظ ِٖو ٌَِّ َي ٍُٔ ٖم ڋ
43. And the shade of black smoke,
يم ڌ ر
َ ََ
ن َّل و د ارَََّّل ة
ٍ ِ ِٖ
44. Neither cool nor honorable.
َ ۡ ٌُ إ َّج ُٓ ًۡ ََكُُٔا ْ َر ۡت َو َذَٰل َِم
َ ۡتذ
ِي ڍ ِ
45. Surely they were before that made to live in ease and plenty.
َ ۡ ۡ َ َ َ ُّ ُ ْ ُ َ َ
ِِد ٱىػ ِظي ًِ ڎ
ِ ِصون لَع ٱَلِ وَكُٔا ي
46. And they persisted in the great violation.
َ ُ ُ ۡ َ َ َّ َ ً َٰ َ َ ّٗ َ ُ َّ ُ َ َ ۡ َ َ َ ُ ُ َ ْ ُ َ َ
وَكُٔا حلٔلٔن أنِذا ٌِخِا وكِا حراةا وغِظٍا أءُِا لٍتػٔذٔن ڏ
47. And they used to say: What! when we die and have become dust and bones, shall
we then indeed be raised?
َ ُ َّ َ ۡ َ ُ ٓ َ َ َ َ
أو ءاةاؤُا ٱۡلولٔن ڐ
48. Or our fathers of yore?

َ َ َّ َ ۡ َّ ۡ ُ
َ
خ ِريَ ڑ
ِ كو إِن ٱۡلوى ِي وٱٓأۡل
49. Say: The first and the last,
ُ َ َ َ ُ ۡ َ
ج يَ ۡٔ ٖم ٌَّ ۡػئ ٖم ڒ
ِ َٰٰل ٍَج ٍُٔغٔن إ ِ ََٰل ٌِي
50. Shall most surely be gathered together for the appointed hour of a known day.
َ ُ ّ َ ُ ۡ َ ُّ َّ َ ُّ َ ۡ ُ َّ َّ ُ
ثً إُِسً أحٓا ٱلضٓاىٔن ٱلٍه ِذةٔن ړ
51. Then shall you, O you who err and call it a lie!
ُّ َ َ ُ
ٓأَلِكٔن ٌَِ ش َج ٖر ٌَِّ َزكٔ ٖم ڔ
ِ
52. Most surely eat of a tree of Zaqqoom,
َ ۡ َ َ
ذ ٍَالِ ُ ٔٔن ٌ ِِۡ َٓا ٱۡلُ ُطٔن ڕ
53. And fill (your) bellies with it;
َ ۡ َ َۡ َ َ ُ َ َ
َٰ ف
ش ِربٔن غييِّ ٌَِ ٱَل ٍِي ًِ ږ
54. Then drink over it of boiling water;
ۡ َ ۡ ُ َ ُ َٰ َ َ
فش ِربٔن ُشب ٱلِٓي ًِ ڗ
55. And drink as drinks the thirsty camel.
ِيَ ژ
ٱلّ َهَٰ َذا ُُ ُزل ُ ُٓ ًۡ يَ ۡٔ َم
ِ
56. This is their entertainment on the day of requital.

َ ُ ُ َ ََ ُ َۡ َ َۡ
َن َُ خيل َجَٰس ًۡ في َّۡٔل ح َص ّ ِدكٔن ڙ
57. We have created you, why do you not then assent?
َ ُ ۡ ُ َّ ُ ۡ َ َ َ َ
أفرءحخً ٌا تٍِٔن ښ
58. Have you considered the seed?
َ ُ َٰ َ ۡ ُ ۡ َ ۡ َ ٓ ُ َ ُ ُ ۡ َ ۡ ُ َ َ
ءأُخً َتيلُّٔۥ أم َنَ ٱىخيِلٔن ڛ
59. Is it you that create it or are We the creators?
َ ت َو ٌَا ََنۡ َُ ة ٍَ ۡص ُتٔر
ِي ڜ
ُ َ ۡ َ َ ۡ َّ َ ُ ۡ َ
َ ٔۡ ٍَ ۡ س ًُ ٱل َِنَ كدرُا ةي
ِ
60. We have ordained death among you and We are not to be overcome,
َ ُ َ ۡ َ َ َ ۡ ُ َ ُ َ ۡ ُ َ َٰ َ ۡ َ َ ّ َ ُّ َ َٰٓ َ َ
نشئسً ِف ٌا َّل تػئٍن ڝ
ِ ُلَع أن جت ِدل أٌثيسً و
61. In order that We may bring in your place the likes of you and make you grow into
what you know not.
َ ُ َّ َ َ َ ۡ َ َ َٰ َ ُ ۡ َ َ ۡ َّ ُ ُ ۡ َ ۡ َ َ َ
وىلد غيٍِخً ٱىنشأة ٱۡلول فئَّل حذنرون ڞ
62. And certainly you know the first growth, why do you not then mind?
َ ُ ُ ۡ َ َّ ُ ۡ َ َ َ َ
أفرءحخً ٌا َترذٔن ڟ
63. Have you considered what you sow?
َ ُ َٰ َّ ُ ۡ َ ۡ َ ٓ ُ َ ُ َ ۡ َ ۡ ُ َ َ
ءأُخً حزرغُّٔۥ أم َنَ ٱىزرِغٔن ڠ
64. Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the causers of growth?

َ ُ َّ َ َ ۡ ُ ۡ َ َ ّٗ َٰ َ ُ ُ َٰ َ ۡ َ َ َ ُ ٓ َ َ ۡ َ
لٔ نشاء ۡلػيجّ خطٍا ذظيخً تفهٓٔن ڡ
65. If We pleased, We should have certainly made it broken down into pieces, then
would you begin tb lament:
َ ۡ َ َّ
إُِا ل ٍُغ َر ُمٔن ڢ
66. Surely we are burdened with debt:
َ ُ َُۡ ُ َۡ َۡ
ةو َنَ َمرومٔن ڣ
67. Nay! we are deprived.
َ َُ َۡ َّ َ ٓ َ ۡ ُ ُ ۡ َ َ َ َ
أفرءحخً ٱلٍاء ٱَّلِي تۡشبٔن ڤ
68. Have you considered the water which you drink?
َ ُ ُۡ ُ َۡ َۡ ۡ ُۡ َ ُ ُ َُۡ َ ۡ ُ ََ
زنلٔن ڥ
ِ ٍءأُخً أُزۡلٍٔه ٌَِ ٱلٍز ِن أم َنَ ٱل
69. Is it you that send it down from the clouds, or are We the senders?
َ ُ ُ ۡ َ َ ۡ َ َ ّٗ َ ُ ُ َٰ َ ۡ َ َ ُ ٓ َ َ ۡ َ
لٔ نشاء جػيجّ أجاجا فئَّل تشهرون ڦ
70. If We pleased, We would have made it salty; why do you not then give thanks?
َ ُ ُ َّ َ َّ ُ ُ ۡ َ َ َ َ
أفرءحخً ٱنلار ٱى ِت حٔرون ڧ
71. Have you considered the fire which you strike?
َ ُ ُۡ ُ َۡ َۡ ٓ ََ َ َ َ ۡ ُۡ َ َ ۡ ُ ََ
نشٔٔن ڨ
ِ ٍءأُخً أنشأتً شجرتٓا أم َنَ ٱل
72. Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers?

َ ََٔنۡ َُ َج َػيۡ َجَٰ َٓا حَ ۡذن َِر ّٗة َو ٌَ َتَٰ ّٗػا ىّ ِيۡ ٍُ ۡل
يَ کِ
73. We have made it a reminder and an advantage for the wayfarers of the desert.
ۡ َ ۡ فَ َص ّت ۡح ة
ٱش ًِ َر ّبِم ٱى َػ ِظي ًِ ڪِ ِ
74. Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.
ُ ُّ َ َ ۡ ُ ََٓ
ٔم ګ ُ
ِ صً ةٍِوَٰك ِعِ ٱنلجِ ۞فٗل أك
75. But nay! I swear by the falling of stars;
َ ُ َ ۡ َ ۡ َّ ٞ َ َ َ ُ َّ
ٌ ٔن َغ ِظ
يً ڬ ٍِإَوُّۥ ىلصً ىٔ تػي
76. And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew;
ٞ ان َنر
يً ڭ
ٞ َ ۡ ُ َ ُ َّ
إُِّۥ ىلرء
ِ
77. Most surely it is an honored Quran,
ُ ۡ َّ َ
ٔن ڮ
ٖ ِب ٌه َٰ
ٖ ِف ن
ِت
78. In a book that is protected
َ ُ َّ َ ُ ۡ َّ ٓ ُ ُّ َ َ َّ
َّل حٍصّۥ إَِّل ٱلٍطٓرون گ
79. None shall touch it save the purified ones.
َ َ َٰ َ ۡ ّ َّ ّ ٞ َ
ب ٱىعي ٍِي ڰ ِ زنيو ٌَِ ر
ِ ح
80. A revelation by the Lord of the worlds.

َ ُ ۡ ُّ ُ َ َ ۡ َ َ ََ
ِ أفتِهَٰذا ٱَل ِد
يد أُخً ٌدِِْٔن ڱ
81. Do you then hold this announcement in contempt?
َ ُ ّ َ ُ ۡ ُ َّ َ ۡ ُ َ ۡ َ ُ َ ۡ َ َ
وَتػئن رِزكسً أُسً حس ِذةٔن ڲ
82. And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence.
ٔم ڳ ُۡ ج
َ ٱَليۡ ُل َََ َ َََٓۡ
ِ فئَّل إِذا ةي
غ
83. Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat,
َ ُ ُ َ َ ۡ ُ ََ
خيِه ِ ٖذ حِظرون ڴ
ِ ًوأُخ
84. And you at that time look on--
َ ُ ۡ ُ َّ َٰ ََ ۡ ُ ۡ َ ُ ََۡ ُ َۡ َ
ِصون ڵ
ِ سَ َّل تت
ِ وَنَ أكرب إِۡلِّ ٌِِسً ول
85. And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see--
َ َ َ ۡ َ ُۡ ُ َََٓۡ
فئَّل إِن نِخً دَّي ٌ ِدينِي ڶ
86. Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority--
َ َ ُۡ ُ ٓ َ َۡ
ج ُػٔج َٓا إِن نِخً ص ِدرِي ڷ
َٰ ِ حر
87. That you send it (not) back-- if you are truthful?
َ َّ َ ُ ۡ َ َ َ ٓ َّ َ َ
فأٌا إِن َكن ٌَِ ٱلٍلربِي ڸ
88. Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah),

َ ُ َّ َ َ ٞ َ ۡ َ َ ٞ ۡ َ َ
يم ڹ
ٖ ُ فروح وريدان وجِج
ػ
ِ
89. Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss.
ۡ َ ۡ َ ۡ َ َ ٓ َّ َ َ
يں َ َٰ
ِ ٍِ ب ٱۡل
ِ وأٌا إِن َكن ٌَِ أصح
90. And if he is one of those on the right hand,
ۡ َ ۡ َ ۡ َ َّ ٞ َ َ َ
َ
يڻ ِ فصلًَٰ ىم ٌَِ أصح
ِ ٍِ ب ٱۡل َٰ
91. Then peace to you from those on the right hand.
َ ّ َّ َ ّ َ ُ ۡ َ َ َ ٓ َّ َ َ
وأٌا إِن َكن ٌَِ ٱلٍه ِذبِي ٱلضٓاى ِي ڼ
92. And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones,
َ ۡ ّ ٞ َُُ
ِيم ڽ
ٖ َح ٌَِ ذزنل
93. He shall have an entertainment of boiling water,
َ ُ ۡ َ
يم ھ
ٍ دِ َوحصي ِ َيث ج
94. And burning in hell.
َ ۡ ُّ َ َ ُ َ َ َ َّ
ِ إِن هَٰذا لٓٔ خق ٱۡل ِل
يڿ
95. Most surely this is a certain truth.
َ ۡ َ َّ ۡ ّۡ َ َ
فصتِح ة ِٱش ًِ ربِم ٱىػ ِظي ًِ ۀ
96. Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great.
