A. INTRODUCTION
This unit covers the skills and knowledge required for the process of implementing a post-harvest program for horticultural crops including
grading, treating, packing and storing harvested produce. Implementing a post-harvest program is likely to be carried out under limited supervision
from others with checking only related to overall progress. The work requires the application of extensive horticultural knowledge and a broad range
of horticultural skills. The post-harvest program usually follows established routines, methods and procedures where some discretion and judgment
is required.
